This detox program put several patients at HIGH risk in 2010. Genita Petralli claims that she is against the psych industry but it is a well-known FACT that she locked a patient in their room (after the 4th week) for 2 days with no food when Petralli's detox program did not work. Then Petralli threw that patient in a psych ward! Another patient left after 2 weeks after deteriotationg rapidly instead of improving.
Yet another patient quit after 5 weeks and one patient eventually decided to go to a psych ward and then fly home. They all paid from $15, 000 to over $22, 000 for their 4 to 5 week "holistic" detox program" and never got a refund.
She is now opening a clinic in Malibu in January 2011 and in Costa Rica.
In 2010 she had NO professionally trained day staff to pass out important supplements, amino acids, and vitamins (she used a 20 year old family member for that job!) and no night nurse. Sleepless or distraught patients where left to fend for themselves and rely on each other. Meanwhile, Petralli spent most of her days and nights locked in her bedroom in front of her computer (stating she only handled the "science part" ! ) when she was clearly the Medical Director.
***Petralli was ironically awarded a "Human Rights Award" by the CCHR (Scientology-based "mental health hman rights watch dog organzation = See Facebook)) in February 2010 while violating her own patients' human rights!
There are SAFER, easier and less costly ways to detox.
***1) Always RESEARCH a detox place thoroughly (Google, Facebook, Yahoo are your friends!)

Genita Petralli shoud be SHUT DOWN ASAP for totally abusing the mental health human rights of the patients she mis-treated.
Genita Petralli is a total con artist. Do NOT give her your money. She knows how to "sound" like she knows what she is doing but the truth is that she does not have a clue and has put many lives at risk!
I spent thousands of dollars with genita petralli and she left me for dead. When I told her I was feeling suicidal and had no more money for supplements, she told me there were many mentally ill homeless people and if I didn't want to join that group I would come up with some more money. This woman is an evil, money grubbing spin Dr. That is the only degree she has. Complete fraud scammer and should be arrested for her barbaric treatment of human beings.
My first comment is WHO DO YOU LISTEN TO? As a wife of a victim to the medical community that has been destroying the quality of my husband's life for over 7 years now and although the holistic practitioners meant well they had no idea what was wrong with my husband. We even paid $20, 000 to send my husband to Alternative to Meds Center in Sedona, AZ and with all the testing and time spent there we were given no definitive answers for his condition. After spending a great deal of money and still not having any intelligent answers from the holistic practitioners we dealt with and definitely not from ANY medical doctor, we found Genita Petralli and I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt that she KNEW what she was talking about. I definitely found her to be an expert in her field and she has truly been a blessing to our family...words cannot express! We know a GEM when we meet one and Genita Petralli is definitely one! Not many individuals can articulate why some people show signs and symptoms "mentally", however, Genita gets down to the root cause of what's causing the dis-ease and helps support the individual on the road back to optimal health. Also remember, if an individual is not going to put in the work and do the program 100% until they are symptom free, then this may not be the program for you...Genita's program is ONLY for the serious ones who want answers and optimal health!
