Hi. There is a dating site currently named EliteMeeting.com It was formerly called MeetingMillionaires.com (had to change it because of their bad reputation. They'll probably be changing it again bcz people like me are on too them and telling everyone). Please be aware of this site. It employs the old dating site trick: putting up a lot of beautiful women/men or successful men to lure you to pay the large fee to be able to contact them or read their email. PROBABLY 95% OF THE MEMBERS ARE FAKE.
I JUST signed up and got 1 or 2 emails a day from very attractive people. Their cheapest mebership is $60 for 1 month! Can you believe this? The owner is trying to become a millionaire/billionaire off this. This is the most expensive dating site membership ever.
I HAVE NOT been scammed by them. Because I did not fall for all these members emailing me (I have a very high scam-o-meter : ) I was too smart and suspicious. But I am posting this to WARN anyone of this dating site.
Also here is a link to a site where others are complaining about this dating site: http://www.daterater.org/Niche-Interest-reviews/MeetingMillionaires.com/review484.html
And remember the trick to avoiding scams? If someone contacts you or you sign up to a company (you feel could be a scam) google their/it name. Do all varitations. If they are a scam you may definitely find someone talking about them/it on a website. The internet can be a bad place, but it can be good and work to your advantage too.

HA! Misconceived@hotmail.com posted twice trying to act like a man then a woman. I am literally shaking my head so emabrassed at how you got caught. any positive review is from the owner/worker. what do i have to gain by saying the site was a scam? i was just a girl looking for a guy. i got an email EVRYDAY. and everytime it was a silly one liner. SHANE AND SAM ARE THE SAME PERSON. DONT LET THESE GREEDY SCAMMERS FOOL U. ANYWAY IF YOU DO IT AND GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY AND NEVER MEET ANYONE DONT SAY I DIDNT WARN U. i could care less about this site. you did not get my $ and will never get it. i met a nice guy from a different site and having a blast in life so i could care less about this silly scam.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Ok. I have been on Elitemeeting for about 5 months now. While I'm sure there may be issues with fake profiles (I have experienced the fake profile issue on other sites as well), In all fairness to this site, I have actually met and dated 3 quality girls. ALL of my e-mails have been returned which carried over to either phone calls or private e-mails. BUT ...I am an attractive male (a gift I did not earn) ... so, it is very possible that "average" looking people do get scammed ... logically there arent enough good looking people to make the site money. The one thing that is NOT right that I did experience, is what someone else commented on about certain girls profiles being "locked" as VIP choosing to be private. One of the girls I met (very attractive) noticed that on her own profile it said private, but she did not want to be private and never set her profile for private! So, apparently something's going on and its obvious these are ways to generate revenue from some people. Also, one of the girls I'm dating now, said she was contacted/solicited for a date by the guy Tye on the log-in page (the CEO)! This is wrong ... bad business in my opinion. The moral of this story is, unfortunately, if you are an average looking person... there's a chance you'll be scammed. it's wrong but money ALWAYS talks. Good luck!
This site is a total scam! When I signed up and before I paid to be a member I received over 400 messages from mostly young extremely handsome guys. This should've been a red flag but I figured why not? It could be legit. Wrong! As soon as I paid the memebership the new emails stopped coming in. Also, when I tried to answer some of the emails they were suddenly no longer members even the ones that had just emailed me. I replied to 50, yes, 50 different guys in the space of three months since I had already paid for the membership for that long and only got three replies once from each guy. All one liner sentences that made no sense such as "Why are my eyes red in every photo?". It's a scam. Don't waste your money because most profiles on there are fake. I don't know how these people sleep at night.
D. Chase, I got the same "why are my eyes red in every photo" message as well. Um, that guys profile didn't even exist. Scam to the max ya'll.
I had the exactly same experience as everybody else here wrote. I receive the fake emails daily while I was not paid. And every email that you receive has to be at least a silver membership excess, which to tricky you to pay at least as a silver member to read all these fake emails. And all the emails are from really good looking rich man/or woman for man from all over the word. I wish I had did this search before I sign up. However, payment has already gone through. I contacted the credit card company. Credit Card company request you a written email cancelation for your membership and request them refund in 15 days. If they do not refund you back, then, credit card company will force the charge back of the payment by investigate your case complain. Even though they have refund policy, but it is based on honest business with honest real profiles and real emails. If the owner of the website is using fake profiles and fake emails to trike you to be a paid member. Then, their policy should not apply! I am suggesting everybody who being scammed from this website should stand up and go ahead to request your refund. Contact your credit card or bank to stop or charge back from them. NO ONE SHOULD let these people build up their wealthy based on cheating others with fake info.
Good idea Gypsisoul.. I am going to try to do that too.
I recently posted as a male with a new profile and tried to contact this new profiled male as a paid up female member. The reply was that he was not available and has cancelled..
This is mighty fishy since I had just joined .
I am convinced that the CEO, this guy Tye is a scam and I have written to tell him off.
I also wrote to POF to warn them not to let them advertise on POF to get female members to join them. They seem to pitch at female from 45 onwards ..claiming that there are not enough of women in this age group on their site. What a lot of ### ..
Let us all unite and write to him and give him a piece of our mind..and track all his advertising platform and complain about him!
Hello,
I'm seeing dozens of people complaining here, but only 21 people (myself included) have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) out of Beverly Hills, CA, where these guys are located. They hold a "B rating" (which is above average) with the BBB because the people here aren't letting the authorities know what's happening.
Please take ten minutes to report these creeps and hopefully see the BBB and Attorney General's Office file a class action lawsuit so that our money is refunded and these creeps do some jail time if they don't pay up. Here's the link. It's up to you if you just want to complain about it here or if you want to do something to change what's happened to us:
http://www.la.bbb.org/Business-Report/Elite-Global-Dating-LLC-100084310
I tried to complain on BBB, but was not able to locate the website biz address and phone #. This website does not have their location and phone listed on their website. Which you know they are prepared! Only way to contact them is email. The owner realizes his crime of scam with fake profile and fake emails is causing him problem . I have been going back and forth emailing them. They offered me one year free extension, but I did not accept it. So I finally got my refund. One funny thing was, they used one guy's photo to create a fake profile and send me fake email after my complain. And that photo of the person they used have had contact with me before on other site. So I know they used fake info. One guy above says, because he is good looking, so he doesn't get scammed and did met some quality woman. The thing is, the real guys on that site, if they are real and rich, then, they are either old or average looking; If they are good looking, they usually are not rich... Cause there is no way for a good looking rich young guy to be on there! That's the key! So the really good looking young rich guy profile with VIP membership are all fake! And, because the way they did, they actually attract a lot quality good looking woman come to that site. Because usually woman sign into that site consider themselves as attractive. And when they getting the responds, also believed that the fake emails are real. That is why the guy above is able to meet quality woman. Anyway, just to warn the good women here, if you are reading this, just forget your dream. There is no such thing, those young attractive rich guy would stay on that website waiting you! And for those have scammed, do fight for your rights.
Agreed that the guys who operate this sham is not on the BBB when I wanted to lodge my complain there.
I will pursue with my refund. Thanks for the tip. You are right, I get loads of response on the other free sites and found some good friends, and was lured to see what Elite would yield, absolute sham!
I was not really looking for anyone but wanted to reply to a couple of guys with interesting profiles since I travel to the US..yes, they are mainly Americans too on this site.
As a wealthy attractive woman I was not looking for young lovers and don't need to, but more for genuine likeminded friends who are interested in the same hobbies and to share ideas..
I have also emailed several candidates to check if they are genuine profile but I am beginning to really suspect that most of the profiles are fake.
Yes, the business is on BBB website. I logged a complaint last night. They do business under Elite Global Dating in Beverly Hills, CA. Just make sure to reference both sites when filing your complaint with them (www.meetingmillionaires.com & www.elitemeeting.com). Also be sure to get your complaint e-mailed to you.
Unbelievable... this is SO obviously a fake site. I am calling my credit card company as we speak to have my credit card reversed. Of course, on the email AFTER you purchase this, it says "NO REFUNDS". Of course it does, because it's fake.
I kept badgering them and threatening them to go to the consumers board where they are located and petition for more of us who paid up to write to them.
They finally agreed to refund but I will see if they live up to their promise.
So for all of you who feel aggrieved do take the initiative and a very strong no nonsense one with this guy and claim your refund.
The more of us do it the stronger we are with our claims. I have sufficient evidence to prove they are a dodgy lot of con artistes..in fact I almost think that there is only one guy involved, and that is the self proclaimed CEO.
I thank each and everyone of you for all your comments (the good and the bad), as I was tempted to give the Silver upgrade a try myself.
Luckily... I thought twice about doing that - despite the temptation of all those gorgeous guys who'd been sending me apparent emails (of course, all unfortunately VIP members as well!).
Alas, I will never know what those dear lads had to say because I am not going to fork out roughly €140 to read those emails, whether they are real or not... Shame!
But yes, it's unpleasant when people's hopes and dreams are taken advantage of like this. Love is a delicate matter to say the least and it's not nice when we are fooled in that area of life.
Perhaps the number 1 rule to remember here is that: LOVE DON'T COST A THING!
Good luck to all those still looking. I wish you real, true success soon! :-)
Hi Everyone :)
Really do agree with most of the comments posted here...
I joined the site last year, March 2009... I received loads of emails, and when I signed for bronze memebership paying £69 which lasted a whole year... I sounded like a good deal... I had a few emails, after replying to all those women who wrote me most of them being from the US.. Although on occasion, I was told to upgrade to silver to contact a few more... Although I still noticed the option of taking a 90 day plan, if that appealed...
After my membership expired in late march this year, I am now a free limited member here and have looked at upgrading... I now notice strangely enough that membership only lasts a month even if you pay the £69, unlike last year which lasted a whole year...
So I am not so keen as renewing, if it only lasts this long...
This site is Total BS. Once I created a profile I was quickly receiving emails, two a day to be exact, and at approximately the same times, from gorgeous women who looked like they all had professional photography. And, they were like 26, but had a net worth of $700k. How many gorgeous 26 year old women have such a net worth in the US, and what on Earth do they need EliteMeeting or me for? And, it was clear that the subject of each of the emails was written by the same person. And, they lived in Miami, or LA. This guy is just a crook.
This site is total [censor].
Even after I permanently cancelled my profile their email ticker continued to dole out exactly two emails per day from gorgeous 26 year old women from either Miami or LA, all with a portfolio photoshoot, and with a net worth in the hundreds of thousands, and with all the emails subject lines clearly having been written by the same person.
Ask yourself what would a gorgeous, wealthy 26 year old woman want with either you or EliteMeeting, and what on Earth would they need to contact you first for?
You'll probably come up with the same answer I did; [censor]. SCAM. FRAUD.
I have no doubt that there are some legitimate profiles, but likely not many if they need steal money from men.
I sent the West Hollywood clown boy an email claiming fraud, but never heard back. (I'm guessing he really lives in some North Hollywood dump ;)
Never gave him a nickel.
If it sounds too good to be true...?
I had a charge on my visa account which was fraud as my purse had been stolen with all my personal indentification and my visa card and I had to have my credit card cancelled and replaced but before I did whoever stole my purse put a charge for the above company on my visa and I am having it investigaged by my CIBC Credit Card Services. As of yet the company is denying any connection. I did not place the charge on the visa card I was forced to cancel but some other person did. My credit card company as of yet have not been successful in their dealings with this company but are still investigating this matter.
I joined the site, not looking for a millionaire, but hopefull that by being paying members at least the guys would be more serious about dating than the general ones off free sites, who for the most part are players.
i was a free member for around 6mths, getting 2/3 views per day and 1/2 emails per day, i decided to join as a silver member, paid my £197, and viewed my now over 300+ emails, for the most part very gernic, none mentioned me by name..
after i joined, i emailed around 40 guys who had supposidily emailed me, i got one reply, again a very gerneric email, my views went down from 2/3 a day to nothing for 9 days.
i then did research on the site, (hindsight is a good thing !) and found this site and others, i emailed the site, and said i was disgusted in their scam, that i would seek legal action against them, and if necessary would set up a web site (i have several others) to publise their shady dealings and get together a group of disgruntled members to sue them.
My refund is on its way. !

The Elite Global Dating Network
I had read the comments about this site being a scam but thought I'd check it out anywa.y
I joined for a free trial and like everyone else was amazed at how good looking the men were and that given they were quite well off were open to meeting women from 18-75 LOL, and I was getting emails from guys much younger than I or my stated age preference. There's something kind odd about that don't you think?
Well I tried to delete some pictures to replace them with others but one can only input info and pix and it is impossible to remove or change anything. The site just blocks you and you end up going in circles. After a total of two weeks I decided the charge of a scam was valid and tried to cancel/close my account. All of a sudden i was totld that I had been rejected and have not been able to get back into the site to delete my profile.
To this day almost a month later I still get the regular stream of 3 emails a day for an account that is supposed to be deleted. i wrote to their global...email address to complain and have them stop these annoying emails but they have not responded and it continues to this day. I suspect that my profile is still being kept up to give their site an air of legitimacy.
I have lost no money on this scam but intend to see about getting the authorities and press after them and exposing these evil souls who exploit our desire for love and companionship.
For all those people who dont believe these two dating sites are one and the same...read an article from elitemeeting's news bulletin!
Feb. 15, 2008: We made the final name change from http://www.meetingmillionaires.com to http://www.elitemeeting.com as many of you have now noticed. We wanted our name to capture more than just being a millionaire and hence the move.
I Joined Elite meeting and payed 197.25 for 3 months then Tlo i complained and he gaved me 3 more months but the site is not doing nothing fake men i am very unhappy with elite meeting also they stopped me from logging in on. i dont know why I have an investigator checking the company and BBB I might sue elite meeting for my money. Back I agree with Shane's comments. Angela M. Fradella
Well I am one of the crazies who got scammed. I paid the Silver Subscription (double) and at the end of the month, to my absolute dismay, they debited my account. Keep in mind, I had only subscribed for one month.
And yes, fantastic looking people, all seemed intellegant and the type that I would like to meet but once the payment went through, no more mails. I would say it is a scam.
I don't know what to think now because I have a profile with them but not a membership. Should I cancel it or not?
Complete scam site. I created a profile - and barely filled anything out on it - except for my profile name and age and I was receiving messages from very nice looking guys on a daily basis. The emails would always arrive at the same time - one just after 8am - and one just before 10pm. I received messages with titles such as "you are beautiful" and "wow - what a pretty woman - can we get in touch"...interesting considering I had no photos posted - and there was no information on my profile.
Ok I finally forked over $200 cause I was curious to see for myself what this whole thing was about. Yes tons of hot guys wrote to me before I signed on. Some of there messages seemed redundant and fake but there were some genuine ones too leaving phone numbers. I find it very strange that for 3 weeks straight everyday I had at least 10 guys sending me messages and now nothing. So I think this company uses some generic messages from these models as bait. Then once you bite forget it you've been suckered in. I do have to say I have been communicating with some real guys. Def. no models but they seem nice. So I can't say its all a fraud.
I agree regarding this site i believe most of it is fake, had a man say he was from the states who turned out to be living in Nigeria and asked me for money. I am just a down to earth pretty women however i have also noticed that the good looking men just send one liners or ask a weird question and when you answer they never write back. I paid for 3 months my membership will end mid August after that i will delete all my photos as i don't want mail when i am off there.
If i could upload a photo i would but it is not accepting it because not everyone complaining on the site is ugly, i don't normally meet serious when just onces who want a good time, so that is the only reason i joined to meet a decent gentleman however maybe it is better to stay happy and single.
You can meet more people on Facebook and it is free then this site. Good luck to anyone who wants to join, however maybe all us single lovely people should chat to each other from here and who knows one of us could become someone elses soulmate lol.
Georgia
Hi, I joined the site for 3 months due to expire middle of August i have spoken to a few nice guys on there however they are way too old for me and not what i was looking for. Then i had a guy who told me he was from the states and turned out to be from Nigeria and asked me for money i told him where to go in the nicest possible way lol. I am not wealthy so i guess i was excepted because they thought i was pretty however not everyone on there is gorgeous or wealthy so you wonder how they decide who to put on there site. Once my membership finishes i am off there, it was a waste of good hard earned money i just thought maybe i could meet a decent gentleman since the guys i may come accross everyday are just into one thing. Then i was told on the site i would be matched up with loads of men who had similar taste well nothing happened. If it is a scam then it will come back to them in the end what goes around comes around.
Well we could all chat on here and maybe one of us may fall madly in love or you can make lots of friends on Facebook and it's free.
Good luck if you do decide to join!
OMG! I just google this because I was suspicious! Thank God I didn't fall for it either, but, I bet that's how they make their money. I must admit, it was tempting a few times. I've never seen such good looking guys in one spot. That's what made me wonder, why are alot of them from NY? Most are French and Italian, now, that's a rare combo! Another red flag! It just seemed fake to me:)!
THANKS:)!
I wonder when sites like this will become regulated?
http://toponlinedating.biz/
OMG! Thank you so much! I just googled reviews because suspected something fishy.
I must admist, it was tempting to join, cause the men were gorgeous! If it looks to good to be true, ...
http://toponlinedating.biz/
Hi FFortunate,
Yes the men are too good to be true, i noticed one guy who wrote to me just before i joined up was from Houston and was very good looking, since a good friend of mine lives in Houston i thought i would reply to his mail never got an answer back however a fews weeks ago i noticed on Facebook - sometimes you get ads regarding dating sites and guess who i saw staring back at me Mr Houston's photo on another site called plenty of fish - so he left the elite site to go to a cheaper site and he had plenty of money lol - it looks like a few of these good looking guys who are probably models have there pics on most sites to get people to join up. I wonder if they are being paid for that or has there identity been stolen. I am not a model just a normal down to earth women who wanted to meet a better class of man with a bit more respect- i think you would have more chance of meeting them in a department store then this site.
And i agree with Brenda the beach is a very good place to meet lots of hunky men without paying a penny lol.
WOW should have done some research before I have signed up with EliteMeeting. I had like 2 messages a day but form the day I have purchased silver membership $200 for 3 months I got no messages. This is the worst site ever.
They should be banned.
Hi :-)
I am a 38 year-old, attractive woman from Europe. I joined Meeting Millionaires over a year ago. Guess what? I NEVER had to pay any membership! I got an e-mail that my membership was free (or something like that). I NEVER got an e-mail that wasn't written by a real guy. I met a lot of gorgeous, smart, REAL guys. Unfortunately, most of them live too far away, that's why I'm still on the site, still looking for my Mr. Right.
Also, my friend is on this site, never had to pay any fee either and met a few great guys!
Just because you don't get replies or you get one- liners from men DOES NOT mean the site is a scam. Unfortunately, some men are like that. Haven't you met any [censor]*** in real life? Haven't you learnt? Just ignore these men and look for someone who's worth your attention!
Good luck!
Yvonne
Hi Yvonne,
Well your very lucky to not have to pay anything for joining up, i think it is wrong that some people can have free membership where others have to pay and maybe because you got free membership you didn't get the scammers however for the people who are not so lucky you do get sent emails from men who don't exist i know as it happened to me.
And the very few who turn out to be real are usually way too old, as for meeting [censor]... in real life at least you don't have to fork out hundreds of pounds to meet them it is a big difference.
So how did you manage to have a free membership?
Regards,
Georgia.
Hi Georgia,
Actually, free membership is quite common, at least in Europe. I got it on two other dating sites - I had to pay for 3 months, but in the meantime people responsible for the sites offered me 3 more months of free membership (instead they wanted to put my photos on their home page); apparently they do it when their members are very attractive. I guess the same happened with this site. And I don't think there's anything wrong with free membership. Using the site doesn't cost anything so it's not like somebody else has to pay for my membership, is it? Besides, every dating site wants to have attractive members; the more the better. Why did you like Meeting Millionaires in the first place? Because there were a lot of gorgeous looking guys there, right? Maybe some of them got free membership, that's why they're still on the site...
As for meeting [censor]*** In real life you buy a new dress, jewellery, make up, maybe you'll go to the hairdresser's etc. before a date. How much will you spend on that in 3 months? Isn't it more expensive? I personally think that meeting guys on dating sites is less time and money consuming. But maybe that's just my opinion.
Anyway, good luck with meeting guys in real life.
Regards,
Yvonne
This site was terrible. I got over 150 emails in the first two weeks.. When I decided that it might not be a scam I joined.. Once I replied to EVERYONE, I heard back from 2 ppl! And after I joined I did not recieve any emails except those that are "farmed out" for quick searches and not custom emails by any means. What I am most upset about is that the billing states they will not automatically charge your credit card.. They certainly DID set up an automatic payment.. Funny thing is that when I paid the fee the first time, I received a reciept of payment in my email. The 2nd time I didn't get any form of email stating my card was being charged. I only found out because I monitor my account online!
Very disappointed and would definitely NOT recommend this site.
I wish to find this comments before I paid there the "silver membership" ...!
Certainly the same exactly terrible way they act with everyone interesting...Fake mails from nice guys every day and after just nothing... I think they continue to use our photos and informations...
We should do something against this site, everybody together because this site is not only fake but steeling peoples money with a very unfair way...
Disappointed, cheated people maybe thousands, we have the power to stop them to continue to make it to new ones !
It must be internet police. I heard about iss, but I don't remember the name...
Just stop them to play with our money but also with the feelings and our time!
Yvonne writes up here, I think this is from the sites creators, they figured out the comments here and tries to change impressions, also seems fake !
Honey, just because I've had different experience with this site, doesn't mean I'm fake. Here is my e-mail: yvonnea1@poczta.onet.pl. Write to me and check for yourself!
Definitely real - Yvonne
Girls,
I am not defending Meeting Millionaires, I am just describing my personal experience with them. Maybe there are some fake members there, but I DON'T KNOW that & I haven't experienced that personally.
I am also trying to open your eyes. I sometimes get e-mails from guys I have absolutely nothing in common with. So I can't even be bothered to write them back. Maybe they think I'm fake? In that case, it's their problem, not mine.
A guy doesn't write you back, you get a one-liner, you are asked for money = does it mean the site is fake? Come on, use your brain!
When using a dating site, ALWAYS read their terms & conditions before you sign or pay for anything & if you don't like it - find something else! Don't cry over spilt milk!
Yvonne
I put a free ad there (elitemeeting). My tag was "Egotistic drunken hobo".
My profile reads "I drink alot, smoke alot, and I'm very loud. I don't take much seriously, and I don't care much for money or material things. I take life very lightly, even living in my car from time to time."
Posted, with no profile pic. I get at least 5 emails a day from some very hot women.
Sorry, but ummm... I'm not gonna pay for membership :p
I have been on several dating sites before and just came across this one...haven't joined yet. On all of the other sites after a few messages most guys want to add you as his friend on facebook or want your phone number and this all leads to meeting in person. Has anyone every actually made it as far as meeting someone in person from this site...or at the very least added them as a friend on facebook? LOL! If not then I would have to assume it is a scam. Please let me know of your testimony if you have had any real success on here.
I just signed up as a free member yesterday, well come to find out of course when i checked my mail today, i had a spam mail from meeting millionaires, so i clicked on the mans (number), as for not being a member I suppose we are just numbers right now...He looked to be extremely handsome and someone i would like to get to know, however, i could not even wink at him for free, and I refuse to pay 60 dollars a month if this is a scam. So i read this site, and i am going with my gut instinct as to not pay the membership because of all the comments on here. I could be hurting my own self by doing this but i would rather be safe than sorry. Thanks for the input people...
