I too just had a most unpleasant experience while attempting to activate my voucher. I was able to register fairly quickly not the case when i had to redeem the voucher. Tried several times and finally called for assistance. The girl who answered the phone (Molly or millie) can't tell because she and another co - worker were laughing the entire time i was on the call. It was so incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was really shocked at the level of complete disregard and incompetence. I was placed on hold a couple of times and then asked to click onto on - line chat for further assistance. I tried to do that several times and could not. She could hardly speak (She was laughing so hard) when she asked me for my phone number. She said i would get a call back in 5 minutes from someone who could assist me. Guess what? No call ever and i sat there for an entire hour waiting. I work for a major corporation and i can tell you honestly that if anyone in our organization would behave in that manner they would be escorted out the door. Truly, it was that disrespectful. I will never again do business with e - careers and will gladly warn others.

Hi all, I have recently purchased a cyber security package on Groupon Australia for E-Careers. I am only in the early stages of it as I have only just purchased it 3 days ago. I have to say, I have bought many online courses through Groupon and ALL of them have been INSTANT. You go to the website, redeem the coupon and youre set to go! This one however I have found is different. I received my voucher instantly, but the E-Careers website would not let me redeem it. It stated that it can take up to 3 business days, which I found strange. Nevertheless I waited... still no activation, so I contacted them. it took them 1 day to sort it out and I was finally able to redeem my coupon. I finally got into my account on the site and now it is saying it is going to take ANOTHER 3 days for my course material to be available!? How is this possible. It just proved they must be stalling or hoping you will just give up and they get away with your money. Its an ONLINE COURSE! course material should be instant!

From reading these reviews this brings horror to me - this is EXACTLY what I have also gone through. Kathy, Millie and Erick are the most unprofessional members of staff I have EVER had to deal with. E-Careers have been nothing but unhelpful and rude - I tried to sit an exam and found out that my computer is simply not compatible as I have a MacBook Pro - I asked for a refund for this exam and these evil members of staff declined and said that it wasn't their problem as the 14 day cooling off period has since passed. DO NOT EVER USE THIS COMPANY! I plan to floor all review platforms of this hideous company!

I bought a course through groupon, was able to register and redeem my voucher without any hassle all in one day.
Now about a week later I wanted to get started on my course. I logged in to E-Careers and saw my course waiting, clicked the start learning button that takes you to a login.

Tried to login with my E-Careers credentials, since no others were provided with the email confirmations, but that seems to be incorrect.
The emails said to read the FAQ link on E-Careers for login issues. The link states to use your E-Careers registered email as username, and the password will be magic...

Really? Unsurprisingly this does not work either...

I will sen an email to E-Careers giving them the opportunity to rectify this... but really ... severely unprofessional... Why is a course login required? and if needed why not provide a "Not registered yet ?" link...

I would think that a site that provides online courses would have the infrastructure to actually let people do them... and also functionality to make it a user-friendly, hassle free experience. (FYI - Your site can't say "THE PASSWORD WILL BE MAGIC" ) No one here signed up for a magic lesson or kindergarten course... please fix this... it's absurd to say the least...

I actually thought that it might be real login credential issue, due to E-Careers obviously not being as technically savvy as they come across (No not yet registered link), but after seeing the "Magic" I really so not have much hope for getting to do my course, getting my money back or E-Careers succeeding as business.

Glad I got that off my chest, stuff like this really upsets me...
Why not rather target an audience of online gamblers, not people looking to better themselves.

I have to say that so far I have not experienced these kind of problems. I purchased the NLP course for a greatly discounted cost through Amazon local and registered fairly quickly. However I have not looked at the course again for a year (procrastination rules!) and I have been able to access my account without any issue. So far there is a large manual which I have downloaded and then various sections which are supposed to contain audio files. Unfortunately I cant seem to access the audio files. I have been having an online chat with 'Kevin' whose English is extremely poor but he is doing his best to help. However he obviously has a different screen view to me so I am hoping it is just something in my computer settings which is blocking the audio files. I'll let you know how I get on!

Well... e-careers, you certainly haven't done yourself any favours here. Thank you everyone for alerting me to these complaints. It maybe of interest to let 'Trustpilot' be aware of these complaints also as they seem to have favourable reviews on here? Hmmm? I think my suspicions were alerted when I found myself on a page which advertised that the e-careers.com domain was up for sale by the owner? Plus I took the opportunity to call their tutorial help line which was answered by a lady whose English was impaired by her strong Indian accent, who didn't seem happy to answer the call. Not a good representation for encouraging me to take on the Executive PA course!

Hi There,
I just got a call from a person named Krishna who spoke horrible English most of it sounded like Hindi. When anyone tries to update their CV on Naukri.com, these kind of fake people call from nowhere. And being my third such incident, anyone who calls me will tell me that I should register for their services and pay them some money online. The person will not give you anything about JD or even they don't sound technical or professional. If you have not applied to them, and if you get such calls asking for money, that's it. A sure case of frauds. One more thing I observed is that they try to offer you jobs abroad or they say your CV is not up to mark. Most of their location is north India. People, please spread the news. There are many more such cricked ones, waiting to take the poor job seeker to raid. I strongly believe Naukri is also involved in this. Naukri does the same to all. So time to ban such fakes and importantly Naukri.com too.
Best Regards
Gopi

I bought the Prince2 package a few days ago and redeemed my voucher with ease and managed to get a descent deal with a kind person named Scott. Its unfortunate that you had to deal with such rude staff and no doubt the company have to take ownership of the behaviour of their stuff. But I honestly I would say give it a try, Over the past 4 days it seems pretty straight forward plus the online features presentations are very clear and accurate.

I can completely agree with these complaints, I have purchased revision for level 1, 2 & 3 CeMap exams, I have come to study today and they have removed my material. After speaking to Kathy Jones, Manager of Customer Support in Stanstead, she repeatedly said regardless of the lack of advertisement on Groupon, I should have read the website which states there is 1 year access. I have no emails confirming this, no emails to provide an expiry & regardless of any of the points I made. Her response was always the same, should have checked the finer details on the website. But happily pushed forward the idea that I pay out another £99 on top of my already £600 to get an extension, how kind of them... their customer service is an absolute disgrace & they should be on Watchdog for their rip-off ways. To think, I have paid £600 for revision, which has now been taken away from me & they have the cheek to ask for more money. I hope they go into liquidation.

I recently purchased an Accounts and office skills package through e-careers. I managed to redeem the voucher without any problems but on first accessing the course, I found it was all geared towards Americans and dollars, useless if you live in the UK. I then found I was unable to access any of the files, and it actually corrupted some of my own files. I had to completely re-install windows and lost a few important files. I requested a refund within a week of first accessing the course but just keep getting fobbed off with excuses. I have therefore lost £95 but will be taking this matter further. I will never buy anything from e-careers again as the customer service is atrocious.

Hi Everyone
I too was considering buying two courses from E-Careers through Amazon but noticed how quickly through some customer feedback Amazon stopped selling the courses so decided to try E-Careers website direct and this Millie and the other lads there do have a great laugh at work that's for sure so everything is so automated in response and you have to keep explaining the same thing. As mentioned above something very fishy going along there but its us who want to learn and these ### are happy to lead us on so it is a painful lesson for us all and there are no doubt genuine sellers who no doubt charge a fortune but one thing we all seem to agree on is to avoid and steer well clear of Millie and Co at E-Careers.
Can you imagine if they all lost their jobs and had no money and nowhere to live and no food - would they still be laughing at us then?
E-Careers enjoy while you can as you will get found out. You have upset the wrong people now believe me. Good luck to all the learners on here who were sadly ripped off by E-Careers but they have upset the wrong people so justice will be done sooner rather than later. Whose laughing now Millie ?

I bought the App Inventor course in April 2015, downloaded all the software as per the instructions. I became clear very early on that the course was for a previous version, version 1 which was no longer available or supported. On further research it was clear that this had been the case SINCE DEC 2014. In other words I had been sold a course that was defunct and for software that was no longer available. I tried to battle through the course but it was impossible, the versions are radically different. Quite frankly I feel that this is misrepresentation to the point of being fraudulent . Groupon are passing the buck and E-Careers aren't interested.

Hi, I purchased a Groupon voucher in 2013. When I went to start my course it had expired. When I went to start if I can gain the study material so I could start my course, PMP. I was told I had to pay 80 Pound... 80 POUNDS. I live in South Africa. After much deliberation I paid, only to learn afterwards that if doesn't include the exam, which I have to pay another 250 Pounds for. I also asked if I could switch the Prince 2 course. And if my 80 Pound could be used towards the Prince 2. I was told I cannot as the 80 pounds was a "reinstate fee" A "reinstate" to what?

Hi, I recently purchased a financial modelling course which failed to identify that it was the advanced course and a certain level of financial modelling experience was required. Ok, I'll take the hit as I will probably still do the course. However, the provider, which is not e-careers has the course for sale at significantly less than the so called discounted price I paid. I will not be using e-careers again but will look to the source provider rather than a overinflated reseller.

Update: After contacting Groupon SA about the incident, they contacted e-careers on my behalf and I've since received a free extension voucher, so e-careers have "redeemed" (excuse the pun) themselves for now...

I purchased a Prince2 course through South African Groupon in October 2013, successfully registered then and there and received an email today saying it has expired. The Groupon voucher (which I have sent e-careers a copy of) clearly states: "Course to be completed within 12 months of redemption." Nobody from e-careers is getting back to me about this. I am a very unhappy ex-customer and will spread the word about this scam company.

I have purchased the Prince2 course from e-Careers. I followed the instructions, and have not had a problem with activation or access. I would suggest that waiting 48 hours for an online system to be activated is a little slow (and your time starts when you request activation, not when it is activated) but other than that it is fine.

Regarding value, it's worth the £99 GBP. I would agree with the above that the site price is inflated beyond value for money and should be addressed by e-careers. The content is very comprehensive, but be aware that you really need to buy the book too.

My overall impression is that you get what you pay for. No Prince2 course is cheap, but this one gives you £99 worth of content, well delivered by recognised UK professional presenters, and with a number of extras.

Regarding the telephone reps. Yes, probably could do with a little more professionalism and enthusiasm .

I hope this is a constructive appraisal giving the pros and cons, and that e-careers can address some little niggles that will make a huge difference to the service.

Hi,

I just logged into my e-careers account and my package for Prince2 project management has also suddenly disappeared.
After chatting with the support I have been told that my package has expired on 30th December 2014 that's way it's gone. I never got any email or anything with a warning message so they really trying to set a trap for you and rip you off.

The day I activated my package after I bought a voucher from Groupon they called me and sold me also the exam for a price of 164 pounds on top of the $149 I paid for the preparation course.

Now they telling me that I can't sit the exam when I do not pay for an extension of the preparation course because it is expired and they tried to sell me an extension until 30th June and want to have another $100.

To all potential customers of e-careers. PLEASE BEWARE. They just trying to get your dollars and rip you off.

I am so upset that groupon is working together with such dodgy companys like e-careers but groupon also just wants the dollars for sure.

Anyway I need to but the extension for $100 in order to use the other voucher I bought before. They never told me that I need to complete the preparation course with this company before I can sit the exam.

We should make e-careers a case for Watchdog or get Anonymous in charge to help us and find this guy bharti.b@aptuslearning.com who receives the paypal payments for those fraudster. 😡

Fraudster e-careers.com BEWARE !

Hello Jake,

Thanks for your comment.

I work a UK shift of 9 - 5:30pm and any emails which you sent me over night/early this morning will get responded to today.

The product on our website is clearly advertised as having 6months access although I will look in to having a system put in to place where by the our customers are notified on a month by month basis how long they have before their course expires.

Please await my response to your email later on today.

Best Regards

Hi I am having the same issue here six months is nearly up and I had explained to the seller that I was not ideally placed to start learning right away but she insisted that I could study at my own pace. Please could you screen shot exactly whir on the course information online the six months is CLEARLY stated? All I can see is the exam time limit of four hours.

Agreed - cannot comment on the quality of content.

However, I purchased a voucher for Prince2 project management a little over 6 months ago. It was unclear for me that upon redemption of voucher your course automatically starts and you need to do it within 6 months or your course expires.

You can argue that this my fault - but a simple email a month or two before the expiration to let you know that your course is about to expire would be a professional way of handling this.

I have contacted them and so far, they have offered for me to repay the original cost with a slight discount, and I have contacted the above manger Simon Brace, and so far no response.

What you have is a very aggressive sales team, and little support once you have purchased the product. Buyer beware.

Jake

Hi, Just like many others who have complaints against e-careers I also found myself in a mess when I could not redeem my groupon voucher. On contacting the customer service executives I was not much satisfied by their absurd replies. When I asked them to connect me with the manager, the lady on phone was quite reluctant. After I threatened to sue her, she finally asked the manager to talk to me. After I narrated everything to him, surprisingly his response was soothing. He took my voucher number and activated it. After a couple of days I had my course running.

I guess one just needs to reach out to the right person to get the things sorted out. Through this complaint board I would like to drag the attention of the professionals of e-careers and urge them to take actions for the complaints registered here.

Cheers...!

i had a groupon voucher which I activated through the link to redeem - then after placing in my redeem code I registered.
Later I find after the expiry date that my voucher had not been activated and I had missed out.
e-Careers say this is not possible and I failed to redeem in time and can repay the special price again... they also offered me to pay an admin fee of $80 alternately. Either way they have $149 of my money I have no course and then they insist I pay more to access what I already activated!

The e-careers.com site marks up a product 10 to 20 times full retail and then discounts it heavily (80 - 90%) on groupon. You still pay more than double what you can get it for elsewhere. Shopper beware. e-careers and groupon are both guilty here.
