Company information:
Anderson, South Carolina
United States

I am a 57 year old college educated female that has had a p/c for 12 years, but I feel like an idiot right now. I was reading a news article (CNN) and noticed to the side a story from a "mom" that lives in a town 30 miles from me about fantastic inexpensive teeth-whitening. Her piece was very "down-to-earth" and believable. You order just 2 free trials and pay a very small shipping fee to get snow white teeth. I fell for the SCAM, entered my credit card info, had second thoughts, and clicked on my bank account. In less than one minute, the $1.95 shipping plus $59.95 had been taken from me. I called my bank and was told the charges were pending and nothing could be done until the charges went thru. I called Dazzlewhite and the thief said I would have to return the product, get a tracking number (which requires paying EXTRA postage) before I could CANCEL or get a REFUND!!! All of this took place in less than TEN MINUTES. You also have a deadline to get it back to them or you'll still be charged!

What kind of country is this??? DO NOT ORDER THE FREE TRIAL FROM THESE CROOKS!!! If this product was so good, they would not stoop to scamming and stealing from honest folks. NEVER AGAIN will I fall for such CONS on the internet!!! If you order this stuff, you will be sorry and like me...feel like a fool!!

Hello Anderson SC

I am sorry to hear how you got scammed but I have to be honest and ask myself 'what did you expect?' Just because an add appears in the side bar of the CNN web does not mean its legit. CNN, and just about everyone else, are happy to accept the cash for adds that appear on their website. They DO NOT check into whether the ad is a scam or not.

Here is something to keep in mind the next time you are browsing the web.

1. If the story appears to be from someone who lives near you ignore it. All web adds can be written (i.e. coded) to detect the servicing ISP from which you are viewing and the ad can be automatically tailored to make it sound like it is the story of someone local.

2. If the product being offered is being purported to be some NEW secret that nobody else has discovered stay away. Think about it. If you discovered the secret to something and it could be easily sold would you be selling it this way, for NOTHING? Of course not. If nothing else you would call Billy Mays from the Pitchmen and make a few million.

3. If it sounds too good to be true it ALWAYS is. The level of gullability displayed by Americans today is beyond astounding. If we could convert that gullability, and greed, into energy we could supply the worlds needs for centuries. Alas it seems that Americans, due to their insatiable greed for more STUFF, will never break away from this and this is why we are flooded with email scams from Nigeria to make millions, pills to make things grow, pills to make fat melt away in your sleep, pills to deliver the nutrients that we should be getting from our diet, ways to make money from home working 30 minutes a week, etc etc etc.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience--I was about five minutes away from entering my information!! I figured if it was a scam, for the 1.95 I wouldn't feel too bad--duh! Didn't think they'd ever charge me for more. Aren't all people honest? hehe

I even did extensive research and googling for "bad" reviews and this was the first I could locate among the probably fake positive and raving reviews on the website as well as a few others that I found suspicious.

This is ridiculous! I couldn't find a report throught hte BBB either, so I believe they're pretty new, another red flag! Uh. I've also come across someone who has said they change the name of the product every so often to avoid BBB reports or when the truth gets out!! So keep spreading the word and use common sense Internet users out there!!!

My story above (scam, theives, liars) only gets worse!! Now they are sending me emails pretending to be the "good" guys to get more personal info from me!!! Can you believe this?? I do believe they change their product name frequently to keep the scam and money flowing. I've found many complaints about products that sound exactly the same, but with other names. Such as: "IvoryBrites", "Max White Teeth", etc. It was confusing to me why I did not find more Dazzlewhite stories. If you Google it, you will find pages of websites that sell/give free trials. Look on the right side of the page where you'll find it listed also under Target, BizRate, & other well known businesses. Click on them...they do not have such a product! It's shoes, clothing with "dazzle" or "white" in the description!!

At one point today, there were THREE ads on this page, YES, this page for DAZZLEWHITE. All of this blows my mind. I will say I've learned a big lesson that, God as my witness, will never fall for this trap again. I will say these characters have learned how to get rich fast thanks to the trust of other folks. Please keep the warning going...I'm usually skeptical about even small things, but not anymore. This is sickening to know what some of our country has stooped to.

I also got suckered by these aholes. I guess I got lucky though. I used my paypal debit card with just enough in my account to cover the shipping charge. Now I am doing the dispute process to make them refund the shipping charge.

Be careful, too, because they sign you up automatically for Insided Secrets and eBook. To cancel DazzleWhite you call one number, to cancel Insided Secrets another, and finally eBook another number. If you don't cancel all three, you will be hit by the others. This can really cost you. It is true that to return the product, the cost is all yours! Even if you didn't use it. To the person above who thought we deserved what we got for falling for this scam, please, honest people think others are the same. Unfortunatually, that isn't the case and yes we need to be more careful. Thank you for the information.

I too have been taken by them. I contacted my credit card company and told them to dispute the charge. I didn't receive their product. When I emailed them they said that it was too bad that I didn't work it out with them and went thru my credit card company. In the end they stated that they would be prove there was nothing fraudulent about them. I went on the sight and put in my response and they deleted it off the site. This is such a bogus scam and it's all over the websites. It makes me sick to see it over and over. Someone should take them off the web.

I am usually a real good one at spotting scams online and this one actually got me. I was thinking it was a legit site and my mind just wasn't there at the time. However I turned right around like 1 min later to stop the product from going any further and I haven't seen any pending charges or any for that matter. I just contacted them and asked to stop it. Also a little trick to these things is you have to be 18 to agree to the terms and enter a legal binding contract. I just got younger :-)

I see that you are a "college educated female". You can also now consider yourself a graduate from the School of Hard Knocks.

I'm happy that not everyone that saw the Dazzlewhite ad didn't respond, but my post above (scams, liars) is still a nightmare that will not end. I contacted my bank and changed my credit card number. I chatted with Dazzlewhite rep online, sent several emails, and talked to many reps (most barely speak English). The same day I received my "free trial" I took it to my post office within half an hour, UNOPENED as I was instructed to do, and returned it certified mail. The pending charge of $59.95 was taken off my cc, and I thought this scam was over for me. Today (3 weeks later) there on my NEW cc number is a DAZZLE chg for $58.76!!!. I almost threw up (sorry)! I called my bank & now I have to get forms from them to start a dispute. What a freaking mess. I can't afford to let these theives steal $60/month from me for nothing!!! Yes, I'm an honor graduate from the School of Hard Knocks, Brian. I did more research today online while my blood was boiling again and found lots more folks that took the bait just like I did. This company has changed their address since I logged on that morning 3 weeks ago. All I can say to anyone that is even thinking about doing this free trial, it will be a headache that may never end. You do not know me, but I promise, you will be sorry!

I too have fallen victim to this scam. I am paying with a debit card. I read that closing a CREDIT card accout did not help. I am wondering if the same applies for free checking accounts? Is it true that they will charge a monthly fee of $58?
 151 days ago by   jan_aguigs +4 Votes
I have just canceled auto shipment from dazzlewhite and they claim I will no longer receive shipment from dazzlewhite. Is this true or will they somehow get around to still charging me a monthly fee? Frankly I am quite nervous the scam will go on and have not the means to keep paying these aholes for there bs products...

Also, the false ad of the lady who claims the product works advertised of another product from ezbright. Is this also another scam and will I also be charged an initial and a monthly fee for this product?

Good luck! Fell prey to this scam as well, Ordered 2 whitening products, and currently have several different companies now charging my Credit card. Cancelled both of the whitening products prior to their supposedly free* trial period ran out. No refunds from any of them, and YOU MUST CANCEL WITH EACH AND EVERYONE OF THE COMPANIES, EVEN THOUGH YOU ONLY SIGNED UP WITH 2. They have a Program called AUTO-ENROLLMENT, that signs you up for all sorts of useless things, when you actually think you are only getting a trial amount of their Product. I have spent several hours on the phone and sent numerous emails. All have supposedly been cancelled, but yet Charges to CC continue. Horrible Companies that are scamming People for huge Profits!
148 days ago by   oops +3 Votes
Well I got suckered too. I applied for the free trials from both products and have been charged 58.76 and 88.97 respectivly.
So I called both companies and cancelled my membership. Dazzlewhite said I could return the product for a full refund. (But yes I need the tracking #) the address they gave me to send back was DazzleWhite P.O. Box 1023 Des Moines Iowa 50381. They did give me my order Number which also needs to be sent with the product.

The other Co (Whitening Brites) Sent out the refill package 11 days after they sent the 1st package. I hadn't even had 15 days in which to try their product before they sent the next shipment and charged the 88.97. I am in email communications with them trying to return the refill for a full refund.
WHAT A BUNCH of Crapola! Oh yes and they said they would compromise and only charge me 39.00 due to the misunderstanding as i did not cancel within the 15 day free trial period.
