Mike Yousef is a 'pharmacist' at the CVS I fill my prescriptions at. He has (a number of times) refused to refill a prescription because he 'thinks' it's too early. However, my doctor doesn't think it's too early, and neither does my insurance company. In fact, he refused to fill a prescription I had, so I called my insurance company to find out why. They said it was unethical of him to deny my prescription, and that I had every right to pick it up on the day in question. He still refused to give me my prescription. In fact, he actually yelled at me on the phone. He spoke to me as if I were a 'junkie', or a little girl that didn't know what she was talking about. I am very angry that this man actually has a job at CVS. My insurance company was shocked that he wouldn't fill my prescription. It has nothing to do with it being too early, it's because he personally thinks its too early. He has no regard for human decency. I've discussed this with some others, and another person I know has had the same problem with this man. I'm a waitress so I know what it's like to handle customer relations and I cannot believe this man actually has a job.

A pharmacist can legally deny to fill any prescription he/she doesn't feel comfortable filling-get over it. And he wouldn't say it's early if it wasn't-we don't just make crap up. You're obviously taking more of the medication than prescribed on the rx and that's between you and your doctor-The pharmacist does NOT have to fill it if they don't want to. If you don't like it-suck it up and go to another pharmacy.

Interesting how the prescriptions that customers complain about not getting always seem to be painkillers. (Otherwise, why would the word "junkie" be involved?) People who take opioids should be aware that getting them refilled earlier than every month will raise red flags in the computer system.

And since the pharmacist has to maintain his license to dispense medications, he should have the right to question prescriptions that look wrong to him. Maybe someone is doctor-shopping and the insurance company hasn't noticed yet; in this case, the pharmacist could be the one to see that the customer is picking up too many opioids in a month.

I have had a terrible experience not with the staff but the pharmacist. They show no empathy. They act like they could care less about a customer with their attitude.I had one never acknowleged me with his back turned.I have been with a company in the wholesale and are taught no matter when anyone comes up to you to acknowledge them.I also had one prescription picked up by the wrong person and the pharmasist tried to argue I had already picked it up, not. They found it later and I told a pharmacist that I would like to pick one of my scripts and then other one two days later. He would not let me and said it was against the law.I called another pharmacy I have used they told me only if the docotr scecifys both or non in which my doctor has never did.The afro- american pharmacist also argued about the wrong person picking up my prescription by mistake.I told him thbat is very dangerous. He said we are so busy.I said that is no excuse when you have a dangerous drug given to the wrong person. The pharmacy is in anniston alabama quintard avenue.I will never visit there again after my last refil the will not transfer.

Pharmacist's legally do not have to fill any prescription they aren't comfortable filling, because their license is on the line. If he's saying it's too early, it means that you are taking more of the drug than what is written on the label.
