my complaint is in regards to my luggage that was lost in a changing flight. i flew from sydney to hong kong then from hong kong to heathrow. when i landed in heathrow and trid to claim my luggage it never came off. i went to the customer service desk and the gentlemen was very helpful. i told the man to look through my bag when it came through as i knew excactly what was in it. they then phoned me a day later to say my bag was there and they would send it to me. when it arrived it wasn't my bag so they clearly had nit looked through my bag as i asked. so i rang the number that he gave me and i have tried nearly fifty times and only managed to get through once. following this they said they would send someonje to collect the bag that wasn't mine so i said told them not to come on a specific day as they would be no one in. they totally disregarded this and someone came to the house and rang me me asking me were i was. i have been appalled by this airline and feel they are doing nothing to help me retrieve my luggage, and show no form of interest in my problem.

You have all my sympathy. I understand your frustration and disappointment in Cathay. I am a Marco Polo member of Cathy. I am very depressed by the event and I am very disappointed by the Cathay.

I lost my luggage on Feb.6 2008 CX direct flight from Hong Kong to Jakarta. There was no changing of flight. It was a direct flight and I am living in Hong Kong!

11 days has passed, CX still does not know where my luggage is. I am going back to Hong Kong tomorrow. My perception is that CX simply does not care much on lost luggage. it's like its our responsibility not to put anything in the luggage.

My wife had her luggage lost by CP as well on a transfer from CP to Air Canada. CP claims never to have had the luggage but we have the tags. Their Toronto luggage claims desk NEVER answers the phone and they do not return messages.

Also CP does NOT list any of its business office phone numbers in their web site. Only a fax for HK HQ and the bookings and baggage claims numbers. There is no way to escalate or complain.
And I thought Air Canada had bad customer service...!

We traveled business class - the whole family from Hyderabad to San Francisco on Cathay pacific. Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur via Malaysia airlines and then KL to Hong Kong (Cathay), Hong Kong to San Francisco (Cathay). None of our bags showed up on May 12, 2008 when we reached SFO. The next day we got all but one bag delivered to our hotel. This one bag is still missing and we have been calling their SFO number 650-821-2247 to talk to an answering machine. No clues on this one and we are already past the 21 days limit. We had items in there that were worth over 2500$. I am not sure if I will be able to recover this amount from cathay - any ideas?

Cathay Pacific after numerous attempts to inform them to make sure my bags would be loaded on my flight as I had to make an emergency medical stopover returning from Bali to Los angeles in HK, did not return one of these calls or emails. Instead they didnt check in my baggage and I didnt receive my bags for over a week and a half. Then one of the boxes was broken in half after being packed by a professional cargo company and items of designer clothing and accesories were stolen from my suitcase. Then after calling them every day not one of the agents who promised to get back to me has done so. I am a so called silver member have given them 12 years of business its really disgraceful. There have been many incidents of theft among TSA agents I dont suspect the Cathay employees of anything but their failure to provide the expected customer service is very upsetting.

My flight was on 06 January 2009. My complaint is in regards to my luggage that was lost in a changing flight. I flew from CEBU to HONGKONG then from HONGKONG to RIYADH. when i landed in RIYADH and tride to claim my luggage it never came off. i went to the customer service desk and the gentlemen was very helpful & he filled the form CATHAY PACIFIC - PROPERTY IRREGULARITY REPORT & right all the details regarding my flight including the tag number. I told the man to look through my bag when it came through as i knew excactly what was in it. Until now i don't received any news. I have been appalled by this airline and feel they are doing nothing to help me retrieve my luggage, and show no form of interest in my problem. I'm flying for almost 20 years for different airlines but mostly i'm taking Cathay but this problem occur to me this time. I don't know what to do, i have very important things in that luggage. Please help me.

my flight was on 31stdecember 2009.. my complaint is in regards to my luggage that was lost .i was cumming from dubai to mumbai .when i landed in mumbai i dind find mu luggage.then i tride to claim my luggage never came off.i went to the customer service desk was helpful he filled the form cathay pacific but the tag was not given to me in dubai that was my hand luggage.until now i dont recieve any news.i have been applied by this airlines and feel they are doing nothing to help me retrieve my luggage.i am flying from almost 10 years for different airlines but mostly iam taking cathay but this problem occur to me this time.i dont have what to do i have very costly thing in the luggage. my contact number 9821166735.

CX I got burned bad 3 times Fuel surcharge when fuel went back down to all time low after rising $350 ..on the way out open ticket CX refuse to give seat even though many where avaible and made they made me pay $100 extra . Last and the biggest bite my bag was broken into and lost most of my things worth value about $1400 Christian Armstrong

Hi Im Zahara here fom Srilanka, and lost my baggage on cp coming from Singapore to Srilanka, , it has been such a dissapointment, as I only had 1 day of shopping in singapoe before I got on a cruise, an all my stuff was in this particular hand luggage, , added to all my costume jewelley that had so much of sentimental value, , whenever I call them they say that they try to find it but nothing happening, for the last 10 days now, , I had goods worth more that 2500$ as it had gifts for my cousin who`se a bride to be next week... wonder what will happen ?????
