Email hacking / spam

Complaint Rating: 94 % with 124 votes
Contact information:

For months, Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy spammed my email box with dozens of spams each week; reported to US FCC which stopped them for a while. Now they are back with a vengeance. Two days ago, they hacked into my email account and sent their website link to people in my email account address books – despite a firewall, virus protector and spam guard. Had a friend not asked why I sent the link, I never would have known. The website lists the contacts as shown below - none have a phone number – if one even exists. I'm reluctant to post the link for fear it might make email accounts vulnerable if the link is opened.

I was sent the link also, by a friend with Gmail. I tried to order, but when I did not get a confirmation, I called my bank. I changed my bank account and placed a fraud alert on it.

I ordered from this website Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy without checking first. Which is something I usually always do. Not sure why I didn't this time. After no confirmation email and no repsonse from anyone after 4 emails, I called my bank. They were able to get a phone number off my bank statement. That number is 213-985-4177. It is a voicemail and nothing more. Asking you to leave your name, phone number and your order number (which they never give you) and someone will get back to you. Which of course I won't hold my breath on that. I have called my bank and am lucky they are going to give me my money back. I just should have looked into them first.

I'D LIKE TO HANG THESE BASTARDS UP BY THEIR THUMBS...

I KNOW HOW THEY GOT INTO MY YAHOO ACCOUNT, AND EVERYONE, INCLUDING POTENTIAL CLIENTS AND CURRENT CLIENTS NOW THINK I AM PUSHING THEIR ILLEGAL CRAP!

WISH I KNEW HOW TO MY HANDS ON THEIR THROAT... THIS HAS COST ME CREDIBILITY AND TONS OF $$$$$...

THIS OPERATION IS A TOTAL AND COMPLETE SCAM, AND HAS TO BE VERY HIGHLY PLACED IN ORDER TO EMPLOY THE KIND OF SOPHISTICATED HACKERS THEY DO. I WONDER WHAT WILL BE NEXT. WISH SOMEONE WOULD TRACE THEM AND LOCK THESE SOBS UP !

Here's the solution! Next time you purchase a computer, buy a Macintosh from Apple. You will never have this problem again.

These assholes hacked into my Yahoo contacts and have been E-mailing their links (never the same) about 10 times now. My friends were getting these even while my CPU was being wiped clean at the docs. Is there anything to be done? Thankfully, my address is in my contacts so I can forward stuff from other places to myself, so I get a link when everyone else does. I'm tired of apologizing.

make a new email address, don't use your old one ever again, and re-add your contacts manually.
that's all i can think of that's "foolproof"

They hack into my Email account at least once a week and send the crap to everyone in my contacts this is ridiculous, people keep responding teeling me its illegal and I just figured out wgat they were talking about.. Any idea of how to stop this?

I hate these bastards, the problems started for me just out of the blue. I never went to their website and had never even heard of them. I certainly had not given my email and password away to anyone. Well, what do you know people start replying to me asking why I have been sending them links to a Viagra selling website including my grandparents and old school-teachers. I freak out and delete my email account and start a brand new one. a week later the problems have started again. I give up with these guys, who do they think they are? They clearly have no morals and I feel sorry for anyone that has lost business and credibility over this.

Dude, I had my CPU wiped clean and my friends were still getting this crap while my computer was being worked on 'erased'. I want to kick some ass on this one. I have to apologize to my friends, repeatedly. I'm a veteran, I don't buy my drugs. Never heard of them, nor can I think why they would hack my contacts. My friends are a bit smarter than that. has anyone figured out who is behind it? I'm thinking 'Class Action!

I have also been receiving these emails from the account of a friend of mine. The unfortunate thing is that this friend died last year. So, I know 1)He is not sending these out and 2)it's very stressful for me to keep getting emails from his account. I called the number that Yllom316 and lilli mentioned above (213-985-4177). I actually got to speak with a man named Reuben (with a very thick Indian accent...) who did not identify the company. I asked if I had the number for Canadian Neighbor Pharmacy. He hesitated for a minute and then said 'yes, we do their customer service'. I explained the problem and he told me that their company had unfortunately been hacked by a virus, blah, blah, blah and that he would pass it along to "get taken care of". I don't really expect that to happen, but I did feel somewhat satisfied that I was able to at least tell someone how obnoxious this was.
