The purchase was flawless, great communications with me and fast delivery. The order was packaged remarkably well, when my wife and I retrieved it from our delivery point you couldn't tell it was an expensive precious metals shipment, everything was wrapped and even glued so that the package's bulk hid its weight and there was zero movement of the contents even when we experimentally shook the package. Despite the volume of their sales they took great care with this order from beginning to end and I plan on staying with them, I don't frequently see this kind of customer care from companies that have fewer sales to deal with, I highly recommend APMEX.

is a great company and their service is excellent. They also have a large selection of coins, which implies that a lot of their clients are willing to sell to them. A tip, if you want a guarantee that the coin you receive is in perfect condition, then buy either a new coin issued in the current or the previous year, or an old coin that is in proof condition. From my experience with ***, if you buy an old coin in "" condition, which was issued many years ago, there is no guarantee that it will be in perfect condition. It can still have scratches, marks and small dents. This was the case when I bought a gold 50 pesos in *** condition from them, so I was somewhat disappointed. ***'s definition of "" is a stretch.

My name is *** and my experience with APMEX was excellent. When things go wrong the true character of a company is revealed. Such was the case with my experience and APMEX. *** lost my shipment and I was stressed out. I recall working from home and waiting for the scheduled delivery, but it never came. The *** tracker app said delayed. After 7 days in this state I emailed APMEX back and they took care of everything. It took a while, but APMEX kept me informed and, in the end, sent me a refund.A personal thanks for APMEX claims and payments departments for their professionalism and attention in a stressful time. I would recommend APMEX to anyone seeking to perchance precious metals.Sincerely

APMEX I have placed 2 orders with Apmex

I have placed 2 orders with Apmex. The first, free shipping and it was delivered; I elected signature delivery on my second order and the post office held it as they should. I was able to pick-up at the post office, after showing ID. These were not substantial purchases but they were handled very well/securely. I will continue to use Apmex. To the person with the comment regarding "intrusive questions" ... you can't buy a money order for that $$ amount and not be questioned in today's world. To the "Apmex owes me a refund" customer; I don't trust your words. Your hostility regarding the porch drop-off implies you DID receive your package but lied since you didn't sign for it. If that's not what happened, reconsider how you word your complaint/dispute in the future.

Not a lot of reviews from people who have SOLD to APMEX, mostly reviews from buyers, so I wanted to post a very positive review from a person who sold about $25,000 of coins to them. APMEX's buy back price was better than most and they make the entire process very easy indeed. The most work you will have after deciding what to sell is boxing up the coins. They email you a UPS shipping label, with the very reasonable insured shipping cost ($83 for my order) simply deducted from your proceeds, and this is the only cost to the transaction. Within 2 business days after they received my coins the full amount of the sale was transferred to my brokerage account via ACH. The entire transaction went perfectly. I can highly recommend APMEX for anyone looking to sell their precious metals. Thanks for your help & attention Michael Key.

APMEX i returned an order worth over 600 to them and never received a refund or merchandise bac

i ordered over 600.00 worth of coins from them, i asked to return them, they refused said it was beyond the return period, i disputed with my bank, then a rma appeared in my email, i sent the items back received an email saying thy received them, yet no reefing nor was the merchandise returned to me - they keep telling the credit card company i didn't return in their time for return and the credit card company wont give me back my money

Desired outcome: give me my refund or send me back my 650. in merchandise

APMEX Sent wrong product

I've tried for over a week to get my correct order and have gotten a couple of emails saying it would be looked into. However, the responses have stopped. I ordered a bald eagle silver dollar but got a half dollar. I've offered a quick fix that wouldn't cost me anything such as, I may purchase the half dollar as long as I get the silver dollar I ordered or to send me what I ordered along with a prepaid envelope so I could send the half dollar back.

APMEX 1 oz gold bar

I never received my order.
I t was supposed to be signature required (still no order!)
why would the mail person sign for it?!?!?!?!?

i am very upset.
It might be a drop in the bucket for apmex not for me. I was trying to make an investment and suffered a loss!

APMEX horrible experience attempting to sell bullion to apmex

I will start by saying I am a veteran precious metals investor who had been an APMEX customer since December 20, 2012 although I've been buying and selling long before that. I have not used them a whole lot in recent years but I'd estimate I've bought around $50, 000 worth of gold off of them. On the afternoon of June 3, 2019 I had some various bullion items I just thought I'd liquidate consisting of approximately 4 1/2 oz of gold and 15 oz of silver. I decided to give them a call and was answered by someone whose voice was a little hard to understand. That, however was not the issue. The issue was that some of these items were from different countries and are not as commonly seen in the US marketplace. The employee had a very hard time grasping the concept of what they were. They were 9999 gold bullion as marked and all but one stated it's weight. Easily remedied with any kind of jewelers scale. I explained the exact weight on the phone but he didn't sound like he wanted any part of it stating "I don't know let's skip it, whats the next item?" I suppose they are only in the market for Eagles, Krugerrands, and Maple Leafs now. I've never sold any kind of jewelry to them before but I had an extra 14k solid (585) men's gold figaro necklace weighing 105g that I didn't need, so I offered it to them and was rudely informed that they don't buy items of that nature. If you log onto www.Apmex.com click on sell to us. Then click FAQ's on the far right. Scroll down to the second time it repeats what products do you buy? It clearly states "We are active market makers in all the items listed on our website." Which is actually nothing but an outright lie and advertisement propaganda. Bullion is bullion it all melts the same, you pay for the purity and weight of the precious metal content of the item. It seems Apmex is hiring some really incompetent employees to run their operation. I investigated a bit further and discovered that there have been lots of other dissatisfied customers who attempted to deal with them in recent years. Well, there are lots of much better options to buy and sell precious metals online and I would strongly advise any customer considering buying or selling with them to refrain from doing so. I am finished with Apmex as they have gone down the toilet. I would never consider them again. Anyone reading feel free to do as you please, but I would say don't risk it, you might lose your money. Thank you.

APMEX Gold sales

I had put in an order but the APMEX system will not take ACH or personal checks.So I called and they said it needed to be an Bank wire and it could not be a personal check (lie # 1). So I went to my bank canceled the ACH and called them asking if they would cancel the order. They said I would be charged "fees" for the canceled order even after I explained I needed the money for medical expenses that arose over the last week. Then they tryed to take funds from my checking account (see lie # 1) He said they will take me to collections. What wonderful customer service!The items have not been paid for or shipped, all they need to do is cancel the order.

APMEX Poor customer service

I placed an order on a Saturday night, and chose to pay by wire transfer. I was given an account at JPMorgan Chase to wire funds to, so I immediately set up the wire transfer with my bank. The wire was sent at 11am on Monday, which was the next business day. By 4pm, the funds were wired back to my account minus the wire fee, the returned item fee, and the return wire fee. I called APMEX to confirm the account info that they gave me, which was documented on a confirmation email, and was told by their rep that they changed banks that day. They then preceded to give me the new bank info without an apology, and asked me to re-wire the funds. I complained that I lost $58 in fee due to their failure to notify me of their change in bank accounts. The rep said he would speak to a supervisor and call me back. A day later, I emailed the rep just to remind him to speak to his supervisor. I heard nothing. I submitted a complaint in writing on their website. The next day, I get an email with a $25 gift certificate. No apology. No explanation. I responded to the email and explained that I can provide documentation that their mistake cost me $58. A day later, I get another email telling me they voided the prior certificate and now issued me a certificate for $50 towards a $3, 000 purchase. Again, no apology or explanation. This company takes no responsibility, and is uncommunicative.

I purchased silver from apmex, they cashed my check they got their money on 2/23 but they say they cant ship my metals till mar 3rd, they say my check has to clear! WTF! my bank paid that check on the 23rd THEY HAVE THEIR FU#*ING MONEY AND I DONT HAVE MY SILVER, , , , , , , , , SCREW THESE ###S

BOUGHT SILVER FROM THEM 2ND PURCHASE FIST SMOOTH NICE OTHER COMPANYS PRODUCT. PURCHASED THROUGH THEM THIS TIME' THERE PRODUCT' HORRIBLE QUALITY WORSE CUTOMER SERVICE! TOLD ME YOU CAN RETURN IT BUT U PAY FOR SHIPPING BOTH WAYS IF WE FIND NOTHING WRONG IM NOT HAPPY WITH PRODUCT ISNT THAT ENOUGH ! RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN! I'm frustrated too. Quality is low. I have placed 2 tests orders since my first so-so one with Apmex. One with Northwest which hasn't shipped yet and the other from Scottsdale Silver which shipped just yesterday. Though it hasn't come yet, Scottsdale had better prices than Apmex.

APMEX DISHONEST AND LIAR Company and People !!

I bought more than $5000 of silver coins and rounds, they sent all Canadian "BU coins" in crappy condition : circulated, used, dirty and finger printed !

They charge and ads the coins as BU condition ...not even close ! I can get that kind of junk coins in my local shop for 20% less, no S&H fees and no waiting time !

They bet you won't complain a bit ! Bunch of useless and dishonest people they work out there !

Watch out guys, APMEX is a pure old fashion scam ! I pay a $4 over the spot price to get cheap and valueless coins !

I may pay a little more but EBay is a better option ...or find a honest dealear, I am done with APMEX !

APMEX They sound friendly, but are very unprofessional and provide zero customer service

They SOUND friendly, but are very unprofessional and provide zero customer service. They held my check for 8 days, telling me it didn't arrive, then would not ship my order until 11 days after my check had CLEARED my bank. They would take no responsibility whatsoever for their screw-up, leaving me with no way to secure my order before I left the country for several months.

There's lots of places to buy precious metals - give these guys a miss!

So, I am more than disappointed with the lack of caring given by a Customer Service Rep. I had called, probably a year ago, and said “ forget it” to myself, because they did not want to give me guidelines on “how to”. So, gave it another try today..I was treated like I was ignorant and she did not want to instruct me on “how to” sell...I always thought they were a big company...not big enough when you cannot treat each individual customer with utmost respect...”I can only answer one more question, as my boss is giving me the look...”. I wanted to say something, and I just hung up...PS to the boss..your paycheck comes from people like me...Without us, you might as well go home...and for that, you have lost a family that buys and sells...next...

Deceptive, Incompetent, Arrogant ~ these are the words I used when they called me. Of coarse they were not cancelling my order, merely raising the price of my order by $420, BUT, if I wanted to cancel they would be nice enough to not charge me $35 cancellation fee. Wasn't that kind?!? Beware of false PRICES as my order was 5 days old when APMEX "changed" it. Also beware of the extreme belittling you will receive if they call you after placing an order ~ which I hope you won't !

Ahhhh...yeahhh...same here, they cancelled my order and charged me cancellation fee, I never cancell either; and their website is a scam too; took my bank info but still never ship me anything and now they cancell it for whatever reason they want to, and charge me $35.40, and their reps. do sound like untrained unfreindly people, they think the customers are stupid; WARNING! WARNING! WARNING! DO NOT BUY anything from this company.

Similar thing happened to me. They charged me a cancellation fee...and I never even cancelled my order. By the way the cancellation fee was $35.00 and I have nothing to show for it now...no coins. Oh well...they cancelled the order. I would say...their loss. But actually it was their gain...as they got $35.00 out of me for nothing.
