Amazon.com Seller Account review: Amazon refunded customers money and customer took delivery of my product! Stole $1500 from my company!

I had an Amazon.com seller account for several months. My company sold a few things here and there on Amazon.com but Amazon charged a ridiculous commission on it and it takes them 2-3 weeks to pay you your money after the product ships! This however is not my complaint.

We had a customer purchase a $1500 stairmaster stepper on our Amazon.com Seller Account. We shipped it out, and after a few weeks we noticed there was an A-to-Z Claim filed against our seller account for this stepper. Turns out the shipping company could not reach the buyer the entire time and they left messages. Well on October 11th, 2012 the buyer TOOK DELIVERY of the stepper! And a week later Amazon refunded her the money. Now I am out $1500 bucks in cash and out my product and I have no way to reach Amazon and no way to reach the buyer now. Who is responsible for my product? I guess we are up ### creek.

Needless to say now I have to go fight the buyer and fight Amazon for my money back and I doubt I will get either because it'll cost me more than $1500 to just hire an attorney to get my $1500 back from this buyer in California. I closed my Amazon Seller account immediately. Amazon Seller Accounts are a complete joke, they are a perfect scam to rob the vendors of their hard earned profits.

Worst part is that buyers don't realize that all the high ticket items are all marked up like crazy just to account for the seller fees and commissions Amazon pockets from the sale. These buyers don't even realize they can go directly to the companies website and probably get the same product for less money.

In this instance... SELLER BEWARE!
