Air India lost baggage and no trace or counter action

Today 15-june-2014 I have travelled from chennai to singapore on ai 342 flight, it was roughly 3 hours standing in the singapore changi airport with no trace of baggage's in the belt. I have been calling several phone numbers and everyone has rerouted me to a new number and still no trace. It took about an hour of search and later the complaint was registered in changi terminal 2 airport. I have never though the airindia officials this irresponsible and ignorant, it was completely their mistake and I am been left alone for this. There is no proper tracking or tracing mechanism not even a proper reply from the officials, first of all, they never pick the call if so they never responded properly as they were very reluctant.
I need my baggage back and I need to file a complaint against these officials for mishandling my baggage and causing so much of anxiety and improper service.

Thanks,
Priya

Air India air india making children sick

My family is extremely disappointed with their first experience with Air India. New planes, but missing the basics of customer service. I would say, it is against humanity. I have two young children ( 4 and 6 yrs old) and they were coming back from Mumbai to Singapore along with my wife on 24th Feb from Mumbai to Singapore. It was extremely cold (18c), but the airlines didn't provide blankets. They were told that airline cannot provide blanket for all passengers ! And they can't even increase the temperature of the aircon. Additionally there were Mosquitos and they didn't provide any kids meal.
New planes, new airports...but still don't understand the service. Air India you make a bad impression for India...

We, a family of 6 passengers including a wheelchair bound traveled on full fare executive class on AI 920 connecting to AI 965 on 06 June 2014 and the lounge was refused as a lady on duty in transiting area assumed that we are upgraded passengers. We had to struggle with the security to go back to clarify the matter and the shock was that the UNPROFESSIONAL lady was reluctant to accept that we are not upgraded passengers till I created scene, which attracted other AI staff. We finally reached the lounge after 2.45 hours from the time of landing of AI 920 Is the way Maharaja Airline treats the Executive class passengers?
I need a written apology form the lady, who refused to give her name and I am sure AI Management can pick up from the duty roster.

Air India poor inflight service for business class - & pound;995 ticket one way

This is the first time I flew with Air India and I was really disappointed at the service and even more frustrated after the journey with the poor customer service. I have never experienced this in any other airline before.

I paid a lot of money to book business class ticket on this flight [AI113 - 4/1/13] as I was sick and wanted to travel comfortably for the 8 hour journey. I was discharged from the hospital just 2 days before and it was very important for me to have a comfortable travel. But in my seat, auto reclining was not working. The steward has noted this in his log book and the technical team tried to fix this before take off but with no success. They said its Air India's mistake as the seat should not have been allocated. By the time we reached Birmingham, I was in severe pain with swelling in my joints. And I had to be admitted in the hospital for another week in the UK

I called up the customer services to report this and they asked to submit a feedback online. I did that twice . No one has taken any notice of it. I called the customer service again, they gave me a telephone number for the Air India head office in London. I have been calling them for days now. No one is picking up. How pathetic can the services be?

So then i called the customer services team again and they gave an email id. I hope someone will see this and get in touch with me. I need compensation and refund of the money I paid for the business class ticket.

Better to fly in Emirates Economy services, 10 times better than Air India Business or First Class

Air India because of delay caused by air india, I missed my coonecting go air flight

Date : 20 Jan 2014, Monday.

I had an AIR India flight from GOA - Bangalore at 04:00 am from GOA (see boarding pass attached) at 04:00 am.

I got a message saying flight is delayed by one hour and will fly at 05:00 am and there would be no further delays (the lady who called from AIr india said this).
I had a connecting flight (Go AIr) Bangalore to Delhi at 08:20 am from Bsnagalore on the same day.
Air india GOa - bangalore gets delayed and we only landed Bangalore at 07:40 am .In the flight the air hostess asked passengers and noted our connecting flight numbers and carriers and told us they would inform them. As a caus eof the flight delay I reached the go air counter at 08:00 am and was denied entry.
Air India staff at the banagalore airport was very rude to me, made me run from counter to counter with no help. They were completely un cooperative, did not offer any accomodated seat to delhi on their flight.I had to buy a fresh ticket there for 11, 000 rupees.
The flight delay was because of air india and they did not inform the Go air people (carrier) and i had to bear the brunt of all this.

My original flights had a gap of 4:30 hours between them and goa to banagalore is only 1 hour.I dont understand what my fault was?
It was all Air India's fault. How can you delay a domestic flight for 2:30 hours and then lie to passengers that u hav informed the further carieers?
and the staff? some guy called Mr. Chari on banagalore air india staff.he was very rude, disrespectful and uncooperative. He told me do whatu can do ...call the poliec what evr!

My return flight from chennai to dubai was on the 18th of october 2013. the flight was scheduled to leave at 20.00 hrs. I ended up 20 minutes prior to flight take off time and the boarding was closed and I was not allowed to board the flight. however they asked me to go to the air india office to get the cancellation and refund. when I went to the air india office located in the airport premises, there was nobody to answer my query. I called up the air india toll-free number ([protected]) numerous times and every time I got different answers. some of the customer service representatives said I need to cancel the ticket at the airport, while some told me I need to send email to [protected]@airindia.in. I did both. I sent e-mails to [protected]@airindia.in along with the ticket details and request to cancel my ticket and process the refund. so far, I have sent more than 10 emails and they neither acknowledge nor provide any kind of response for the mails I have sent.in the meanwhile, I also went to the air india office at the chennai airport and again I was misdirected, I was asked to go to the air india head office at egmore. I then went directly to the office in egmore and there they claimed that air india customer service has guided me wrongly and that they do not do cancelations in the office and the only way is to send emails to [protected]@airindia.in and then process it. I even called the ecommerce office [protected]/4503 many a times and they either hang up or keep transferring the phone. they are making me run for my money which is rightfully mine.

Air India bad customer service & staff behavior

On 11/6/13 I was traveling by Air India from Lucknow to USA. At the Lucknow airport after baggage check in and security check, myself and another lady who was also going to USA were held at the gate just before boarding on grounds that we had access baggage. We both were international traveler and as you all know that domestic and international baggage requirements are different. I told people at the gate that we are not domestic travelers and we are not carrying access baggage but they did not listen to me. We were asked to pay access baggage fee. I told them that I am not paying a single rupee because I do not have an access baggage, I told them I want to talk to your manager. Then after few minutes they said, let these ladies go. They tried to scam us. We were humiliated in front of the other travelers. I am not traveling by Air India again because of their bad customer service and staff behavior. They don’t monitor their employee’s actions. I will tell all my friends not to use Air India.

Air India all bags was opened and stuff was missing

We were traveling from Chicago Ahmedabad via Delhi. We were 2 passenger and 6 bags(2 Extra) paid extra money for extra bags not worth money that we paid extra because when we got our bags all bags were opened and was missing lots of Iteams(like new cloths, shoes, jackets, ect...) this is not first time happened but all the time when we use Air india Via Delhi. I think Delhi airport is very bad for customer service and I am sure this is happing there when they switch luggage bags from Air india plane to small jet because they get enough time to do that when staff switch all luggage bags didn't complaint last time due to busy schedule. I live in Chicago I heard from all people that they don't like to use air india lots of people using Ethiad airlines better service same prize may be cheap some time. This is very bad I think so one day Air india will shut their airline due to this kind of complaints

Air India non acceptance of air india ticket on ai-905, 29 may

Dear Sir, I have already made a representation on this matter and it was to Air India, believing that we in India have just one national carrier Air India. Unfortunately till to day I have not received any acknowledgement to my complaint. On 29 May I approached Air India, Chennai with a staff ticket (098 document) and I was not accepted for flight AI-905 Maa/Dxb. I am Mr Michael Gallyot, retired Asst Manager Security, St No. 22631. My wife and I were to travel and we are senior citizens and have our own share of medical problems. I would like to know why we were not accepted for flight AI-905 of 29 May. I have in the past travelled on AI-906 Dxb/Maa, and on AI-905, Maa/Dxb what was different this time? Please advise, Thanking you.

Air India refund not processed

Air India Flight AI 342 from Mumbai to Singapore was delayed 24hours due to non-availability of pilot. This came to light in the newspapers as well (see google). Air India advised that those passengers wishing to make alternate arrangements for travel (i.e use another airline) were entitled to a 100% refund because the flight had been delayed (cancelled) due to the airlines fault.

After having assured us that, they only refunded a partial amount and have failed to provide any reason despite numerous enquiries. I cant understand how an international airline can openly flout laws. I am looking to find out what redressal options i have with regard to this.

Air India ffp redemption

It seems AI-Management is now in a complete communication breakdown. Refer to our telephonic & Personal discussions of 28.10.2012 at DIAL &call-centre and you earlier mails(chained herewith). It is reiterated, to read my earlier complains properly & take cognizance of what is written there then reply logically & not Close the complains like a simple answering machine!

I was troubled yesterday (28.10.2012) because of your misguidance of booking ticket in name of my spouse & child for December 18, 2012 from Ahmedabad to Delhi. I was advised
1. AI online system for claiming/ redeeming FFP is not working since a very long time
2. Account number of & my wife are already clubbed/ linked [Complain No-Ticket No.85155:119794] August, 2012] but AI always tries to link it again & again.
3. My points were updated for my journey from Delhi to Dehradoon on 24.10.2012 but not for Ahmedabad to Delhi for same date 24.10.2012. Now update the bonus points/ mileages/ etc also
4. However points for my wife & child who accompanied me on the same flights & date 24.10.2012 are not yet updated & it seems to be done purposefully so that I may not avail these facilities.
5. Update the points duly both in my as well my spouse’s {FFP- F649884, Dr. Puneet Swaroop (User-[protected]) & F649885, Dr. Pooja Swaroop Saxena (User-[protected])]
6. I tried to lodge complain at DIAL but AI official were not in possession of Complain book so I had to lodge complain with GMR

I am a ‘LITTLE’-busy person & SUCH response from your representatives just disturb me & my work. Kindly note, we have to work sometimes throughout weekends; hence reiterating complains means taking leave from official work. It seems an error on my part to rely & waste energy on a company like AI claiming to be Number-one (May be in confusing Clients). I am not a social-worker (HR Personnel paid by AI) who has taken responsibility to improve a MIGHTY & Busy Organization like AI- Services.

As feedback, I think DGCA/ AAI should have some penalty clause for the HARRASED CUSTOMER/ CLIENTS for delay in providing solutions EVEN AFTER Interventions of Company’s customer care senior executives’ ASSURANCES just like you claim Penalty for late payments of BILLS. However since more than past four years i had always been punctual in my duties, it's time for your to PROVE the same.

Because of the misguidance from call-centre/ booking office I was unable to book my FFP tickets & Further to the unexpected behavior at DIAL kindly enhance the date of my points valid till 31.10.2012 by month or the date by which you update the points both in my & my wife's account whichever is earlier so that I may avail the scheme & redeem points without confusion. Update the bonus points/ mileages/ etc also with aforesaid IDs of my & my Spouse {FFP- F649884, Dr. Puneet Swaroop (User-[protected]) & F649885, Dr. Pooja Swaroop Saxena (User-[protected])].

Despite of assurances, it really amazing that Complain resolution takes such a long time. Do the needful to expedite the matter urgently & take pains in resolving your LOYAL & OBIDIENT clients.

ACKNOWLEDGE THIS MAIL & PROVIDE SOLUTION IMMEDIATELY.

Getting FFP miles redeemed has become a real pain. In stead of Air India misleading customers by dangling these miles before them it should simply say, sorry we are not going to redeem that. Actually getting KYC compliance done has become such a nightmare that it is best never to try it . Yesterday I went to Air India Office at Safdarjang Airport New Delhi and as I expected they simply told me to fill in the application, upload passport and address proof and everything will be done in 5 minutes. I have been trying since morning and have failed. After everything is completed satisfactorily, I get message on the screen that my first name, last name and date of birth are coming in duplicate. When I called Air India Helpline I was advised to send an email to flying _returns.ai@iclployalty.com and ask them to terminate one of the above. It has become so frustrating that now I have decided to give up. I think those a few thousand miles I accumulated during my service period are not worth so much trouble and effort. Air India may as well keep them . I donot expect any reply but if anyone in the management cares they may send an email to my email address: arunsingh912008@gmail.com. My FFP membership no is [protected]

Air India complaints against air india

If Air India commits any offence against you in USA, then even if you have bought the ticket in India you can file a Court Case against Air India in USA. USA has jurisdiction over Air India for that offence. Please refer to Cause No. 117270 Devendra N Mehta (Plaintiff) V/S Air India (Defendant) in the Small Claims Court, Precinct Two of Travis County Texas at 10409 Burnet Road Suite 180, Austin Texas 78758. The case was filed in the court on June 22, 2010 and I won the case on August 16, 2012 and Air India paid me the refund for my Return Passage cancelled by them Austin – Newark - Frankfurt – Ahmedabad Plus Court Cost.

I had bought a Return Ticket from Air India Ahmedabad Office Ahmedabad – Austin Texas – Ahmedabad – Return OPEN. After arriving in USA I booked my Return journey AUS – EWR – FRA – AMD and had a printout of my itinerary from Air India’s web site. Air India Cancelled my return booking behind my back so I filed the above Court Case. You need not engage an Attorney but can argue out your case yourself as I did.

Air India online service and customer support

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am trying to book mentioned itinerary under Multi City:

Jammu -> Delhi on 5th Aug 2012
Delhi -> Singapore on 13th Aug.

It shows flight options. When I go ahead with direct flight option and click on next, it gives error "A program error has occurred"

I called customer care, they are also find same error and unable to book. Also I sent this issue to [protected]@airindia.in, but they didn't come back yet.

Also I called to +91 [protected]. but the lady who is in charge there she said she has already forwarded my email to respected team, but they didn't response yet. I can't help you. My job is to forward email to team and cut the call. It is really frustrating moment, when the customer team works like this.

As I am an IT engineer, I can say this issue can be fixed easily. Also I know that this work is being outsourced from one of Indian IT company. the why you can't push them to fix these issue Or charge some penalty on these bugs ?

I would really appreciate if you could help me on this and let me know correct escalation matrix in case if I find similar issue in future.

Regards,
Gaurav
