Easy to work with and help along the way. I'm pretty versed in general legal stuff, but most people only face a non-total loss of a vehicle once if ever in their lifetime and the insurance companies know that! Recently there has been some good case law refuting the insurance companies assertations as to diminished value and for their small fee was a great help in recovering 5k in diminished value of my car just over a year old.

Collision Claim Associates provided us with Vehicle Appraisals for Diminished Value on our vehicles that were involved in collisions (through no fault of our own). The appraisals were thorough and fair, and we were able to present them directly to the insurance companies that were representing the at-fault drivers and receive a settlement from them based-on that diminished value. At first I was skeptical because he is located in Georgia (I am in Upstate NY), but he listened to my unique situation and gave me great advice, that I needed in order to get my insurance appraisal up (total loss vehicle) about $2,000. I really want to give more than 5 Stars! In a country where the 'rule of law' is shouted from the roofs... very few actually follow what is written, let alone read about it. I recently settled a diminished value claim with my insurance company with expert help from Richard Smith at Collision Claim Associates, Inc. For a very nominal fee he inspected my car and provided me with a detailed report, along with explicit instructions on each step of the process to claim my estimated $5700 diminished value. As expected my insurance company extended a low ball offer of $1500, at which time Richard guided me through the next step and ultimately to a $5400 settlement. The goal of the insurance companies is to pay as little as possible. My goal was to get what I deserved, nothing more and nothing less. Richard and his staff helped us tremendously at a very stressful and frustrating time.
Our 97 F350 crew cab was in excellent condition with low mileage when another driver fell asleep and hit us on the interstate and our vehicle was declared a total loss.
The insurance offered us such a low number for compensation because they were going by the age of the vehicle, not allowing for the condition and real interest people have in these trucks.

My daughter's 2018 Jeep sticker price at a little over 50k. We paid a little over 44k for the vehicle. When the vehicle had 5840 miles on it a young man hit her that was at fault, The repair was 14,200.00 and the airbag was deployed and the state farm put a new frame under the vehicle. I tried to get state farm to total loss the vehicle but they would not do it. The body shop fixed the vehicle and did a great job fixing the vehicle. However, we still have a major problem because the vehicle is not worth anywhere near what it should be. I had an diminished value appraisal done by the St Lucie company and it came back at 17,000.00. I thought that was a little light but reasonable. Called the puppet (adjuster) at State Farm and he said Ok we will give you 3K. I finally got the supervisor on the phone and we agreed that we would use another diminished value company and split the difference. With my approval of the company. They picked Collision Claim Associates. After many attempts to talk with someone at this company (Because I was not hiring them State Farm was), I called State Farm back and you guessed it could never get the supervisor back on the phone so I sent an email to Collision Claim Associates because no one there would speak to me so FINALLY, Richard calls me. I wanted to know that he actually talks with people who know what cars are worth and he told me he TALKS TO PEOPLE AND FOLLOWS THE AUCTIONS., I expressed I was not really comfortable with that because it is just his 27 years experience opinion. Bear in mind he is not selling vehicles or does he give any documentation of those that do. He sent a nice man out to inspect the vehicle but as I said earlier I was completely happy with the repair. If I could have got State Farms supervisor on the line I would have never agreed to let this company do a diminished value report. I have dealers in my town that will not buy my vehicle because the airbag deployed and a new frame was put under the vehicle and all the CarFax states is the airbag did not go off. I CAN'T SELL THIS VEHICLE TO A DEALER BECAUSE OF THE LIABILITY. THEY WILL NOT MAKE ME AN OFFER. This company's diminished value appraisal was $10.925.00. I never had much confidence in this company because of the rudeness of the employees ( I do realize I was not their customer and State Farm was because one of the employees even told me that.) During my conversation with the owner, he assured me that even though State Farm was paying the bill he works mostly for individuals. His appraisal came in at 60 percent less than the company who actually talk with general sales managers and used car managers. He said he mainly works for individuals but the insurance company really loved him that day. My name is Jimmy and I am an insurance agent.
