Champion installed a deck and pavers around an above ground pool at our home. Immediately after the install we complained because 1) the pavers were not installed based on the design that was agreed upon 2) the workers completely dismantled the pool pump and left it disassembled 3) most importantly, we advised that it did not appear that the area around the pool was stabilized sufficiently with gravel. There is still a large pile of gravel leftover from the install in our driveway. The pavers entirely collapsed. They started separating and shifting and eventually completely collapsed. The area under the deck collapsed as well. The company claims they are not responsible. Although the large pile of gravel leftover confirms that all the gravel was not used. They blamed the rain; they blamed the soil; they blamed the pool supports. All of these things were present during the assessment of the area. If it was not suitable for supporting pavers, we should have been informed. To say all of this after the fact indicates that the company wanted to make the sale at all costs without regard to what was best for the customer. This all happened less than 3 months after the completion of the installation.

I'm currently working with Champion Home Improvement LLC for a composite deck project. As part of the contract, they were supposed to demolish and remove the old wood deck debris. However, the Champion contractor dug a footer hole on 06/19, which exposed underground wiring. This happened after the Miss Utility Ticket *** had expired on 06/04, which is against the law. Now, there's an uncovered hole with exposed wiring and deck debris that has jagged wood and rusty nails, posing a safety hazard. When I reached out to Champion about this issue, their response was that I would have to wait indefinitely for a remedy, which is completely unacceptable. Safety concerns should be addressed immediately. Additionally, the *** company and I asked Champion to cover the deck building supplies with a tarp to protect them from inclement weather and damage. However, the neighbors have been complaining about the huge pile of deck debris that hasn't been moved. It's clear that poor planning, logistics, and coordination have plagued this deck project since it started on 06/18. The work done by the Champion team on the job-site seems unqualified, unskilled, and unprofessional. Champion needs to fix these issues as soon as possible.

Re: My New Roof is Leaking. In September , I talked to and hired Champion Home Improvement LLC (CHI) to check my roof, tell me its condition, and note any repairs needed. After checking, CHI talked about their findings, what was needed, and put a new roof on my house. In October , CHI finished the new roof and wanted to settle the payment. In November, after the roofing work was done, I got solar panels installed on the roof. In early to mid-December , the new roof started leaking after a heavy rain. I told CHI about the problem. After a few days, CHI sent their inspectors who only took pictures of the solar panels, not the roof or their work, and said the leak was because the solar panel company (***, "***") didn't install them properly. Right away, the CHI person said that any issues caused by *** would make my roofing guarantee invalid. I told *** about CHI's findings that their panel installation caused the damage. *** sent their inspectors/contractors who checked the solar panel installation and found no fault on their part. *** took pictures to show why the roof was leaking - they suspected that the roofing work was done wrong, not enough, incomplete, and unprofessional, causing water damage to my bedroom wall, ceiling, and who knows what else. I contacted CHI again to tell them about ***'s findings. (I connected CHI with ***.) CHI sent "independent inspectors" who said that more roofing work, which I have to pay for, was needed to fix the ongoing roof leak. CHI needs to finish the work I paid for, confirm the warranty is valid, and make sure I'm a happy customer - I paid for a service that wasn't done well.
