Worst company ever. They lie and show no respect. This company is totally useless. When you fire them for their carelessness, they won't transfer your loan to another company. Fees are way too high.

I recently worked with *** and his team and I don't recommend them. They are very dishonest and deceitful. We were told that our first year of home insurance would be covered by them, but we were lied to. They didn't cover anything, they just worked it into our closing costs. I will never do business with them again.

We redid our crib and our fresh lender was Celebrity. Before our first payment was even due, Celebrity dumped us off to another lender. Celebrity is supposed to shoot us a letter with at least 15 days heads-up on this. They didn't. Our 1st payment was set for June 1, and as of 5/26, we still ain't got no letter. The new lender ain't got no clue about us, and the loan number Celebrity handed us ain't even legit according to the new lender as of today.

We refinanced our home and our new lender was Celebrity. Before our first payment was even due Celebrity sold us to another lender. Celebrity is supposed to send us a letter with at least 15 days notice of this. They did not. Our 1st payment was supposed to be Dec 1st 2021 and as of 11/16 still haven't received a letter. The new lender hasn't heard of us and the loan number Celebrity gave us isn't recognized by the new lender as of today. I think they're pocketing the 1st mortgage payment. For all I know, my 1st payment could be due Jan 1 2022. I don't even see the new lender on my credit report.

Worst experience I ever had with a refi. Communication was great at first and then nothing. Had to send a complaint to the company to get someone to respond. He said he would have my loan officer call. Loan officer did call and was trying to get approval for something I would have never agreed to and he called me back on Friday. Well, several Fridays have come and gone and no updates. I hate leaving negative reviews but unfortunately this company will waste your time. My loan officer didn't have a team backing him up so clients fall through the cracks. Went with Assent Mortgage and 2 weeks later I am almost done. Use at your own risk and if you don't have all the updated computer equipment because you're not into tech or if you're handicapped so things get there a little slower... Well, don't expect to get a loan, they can't be bothered.

I had a terrible experience with Celebrity Home Loans. I gave them all my documents and got an approval letter. After getting the letter, I spent a bunch of money on travel to find our home. We even paid for a home inspection on the house we loved and put down 10k as a deposit when we started the escrow process. But then, just 2 weeks before we were supposed to close, they disappeared! They didn't talk to me, the listing agent, or my agent. So unprofessional! A friend told me that they didn't even check the rules of my loan before giving me approval, and that I actually needed three times the amount they quoted me for a down payment. Because of Chris's mistake, the seller didn't want to work with us anymore. It's heartbreaking that our dream home got sold to someone else, and we wasted a ton of money that we can't get back. Plus, our reputation got messed up because of them. This was the absolute worst experience ever, and I lost money dealing with them.

OMG! This was, like, the absolute worst thing ever! So, I reached out to Celebrity Home Loans way back in December , and let me tell you, it was a total nightmare! They put me through this crazy complicated process where I had to send them my stuff over and over again! I mean, seriously, I sent them my bank account info, pay stubs, and credit reports like a gazillion times, no joke! And what did I get in return? Disclosures that were totally outdated! Can you believe it?

They actually had the nerve to tell me not to pay my existing mortgage because we were supposedly closing soon. But guess what? After a bunch of phone calls and no call backs, the closing dates fell through! Ugh! So frustrating! And just when I thought things couldn't get any worse, they wanted me to do some fancy-schmancy streamline loan thingy. But get this, the closing costs were over $15,000! Can you even imagine?

But wait, there's more! They then had the audacity to tell me that I actually qualified for a conventional loan. But guess what? Months went by and I never heard back from them. And you know what that means, right? Yup, you guessed it! We weren't approved after all! Can you believe the nerve of these people?

Now, here's the real kicker. I have over $150,000 worth of equity in my house, and guess what? This company is connected to Midwest Equity Mortgage, which is some third-party provider. So, like, be super careful, okay?

I kid you not, I spent a grueling six months dealing with this mess. And let me tell you, it was the absolute worst experience of my life. Seriously, I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy!

If I never met any of these people in this company, my life would have been better off. My loan process with this company was a mess, disorganized, and really hard. The person handling my loan didn't know much about loans at all. They gave me wrong information that contradicted what the loan processor told me. The loan processor herself was very unprofessional. They accidentally sent me an offensive and unprofessional email. After complaining about the email, we got a call from someone apologizing for it and saying they would process our loan. They tried to help as best as they could. Our closing date was coming up, but no one contacted us with any details. We had to reach out to them and they told us our loan wouldn't close for another two weeks. They apologized for not communicating with us. Eventually, our loan closed on February 1st and we were happy to be in our new home. Even though the lender was rude, unprofessional, and didn't care about our needs, we found some happiness in it and started a new life. On April 5th, I got a call saying my loan was processed incorrectly and they needed to redo it. I was mad because they had to check my credit for the third time. They said my rate would be lower and there would be no closing costs. But then I never heard back from them. I reached out to them for an update and they said they could fix our current loan and we needed to sign another document. I was furious! That's not what I was told by the other people. I emailed the team and got an email from the managers. They were just as unprofessional as the rest of the staff. Overall, these people lie all the time. They can't be honest or direct. Finally, I talked to someone on the phone and they apologized for the confusion and said they would send me a gift card. But I still haven't received it. I emailed them about my upcoming tax situation five days ago and they never responded. It's almost June 1st and we're still waiting. I would definitely stay away from this company if you're a minority. They see minority customers as more of a problem than a customer.

This company keeps bothering me with mailers. I've told them many times to stop sending me ads and take me off their list, but they keep sending me mailers. I've been rejecting and sending them back through the post office, but they keep bombarding me with unwanted ads. I emailed Ms. and asked her nicely to stop sending me ads, and she replied rudely saying that my public record is her concern (I'm summarizing). I just want her and her company to leave me alone.

I was refinancing with Midwest Equity, ya know? We got an appraisal for our pad, and it came back just like we talked about. But then, outta nowhere, they hit us with a bombshell. They wanted to charge us a boatload more cash to keep the loan going. Ain't nobody got time for that! So, we decided to bail on 'em 'cause they didn't mention these extra costs in the first place.

When we switched over to a new company, we asked Midwest Equity to transfer the appraisal we paid for. But guess what? They're playing hardball and refusing to hand it over. Like, seriously? What's their deal? They ain't got nothin' to gain by keeping our appraisal hostage, except maybe to stick it to us for not stickin' around after they tried to sneak in those extra fees.

Honestly, it's a real bummer dealing with these guys. They're all about the money and don't care 'bout their customers. I wouldn't recommend 'em to anyone. Find yourself a lender who's upfront and doesn't pull shady moves like this. Trust me, it's worth it.

I wanted to buy a house. My credit was great and I was told I didn't need my tax returns, just my w2's. This thing has been dragging on for like three or four months and I keep having to give them the same papers again and again. They've rescheduled my closing date at least three times. I feel like they've been playing games with me just to make it look like it's my fault. They're a bunch of sneaky people. I think one of them actually owns the house they're selling to me. They said I needed a lead-based inspection and they ordered it, but when the results came back, it failed and it had nothing to do with lead at all. I just want my freaking money back so I can move on and find a home with a trustworthy company. I put so much time, effort, and money into this house hunt and I feel ripped off. I really want to get the authorities involved because I truly believe there's some shady stuff going on.

This company is really bad. We didn't even want to work with them, but we had to because of some internal friendships within their financial team. Our closing got delayed multiple times because they don't communicate well and don't seem to care about doing things right. They messed up our rushed appraisal because they were lazy. Nobody ever stayed in touch with us, so we had to keep giving the same information to new people all the time. We never got any financial documents before closing, except for a signed closing disclosure. And when we asked for proper documents, they always had some excuse for not having them. And to make matters worse, on the day of closing, they messed up our contract because they mixed up their DPA laws. They didn't even try to fix it or apologize properly.

I started the process of buying this house in July and was supposed to close on the property on Sept 14th, 2021. However, we didn't close on our home until Oct 7th, 2021. My loan officer from this company didn't fully guide me through my home purchase and when I had questions about my VA loan, he told me not to talk to his staff anymore. This happened in the middle of the loan process. The reason he spoke to me like that is because I had questions about my VA loan. I sold my property two days after putting it on the market, so I had to rent it back for almost two months before being forced to leave because the new owners wanted immediate possession once the rentback period ended. This was their right. But the whole situation happened because my loan officer got upset when I didn't follow his process and did what was best for me and my family. After selling our property, I paid off all my debts and collections because we were buying a new home. I thought it would be better to be debt-free. But once I did that, he slowed down the loan process. I did everything else as requested, like getting letters of deletions from creditors to get a good interest rate. But that didn't happen, and I ended up with a high interest rate of ***%. He also charged me $55,664.00 to lower the interest rate from ***% without telling me. And my total closing costs show $74,933.77 when we had to borrow $50,000 to give to the $137,000 or we would have lost the home. Each realtor received $29,500. My realtor was ***. My family and I had to hire movers with only three days' notice to leave, and we had to stay in a hotel for a week with our belongings in the garage of our new home. The worst part was when *** told me in an email that he tells me what to do with my money, not the other way around. It seemed like he wanted us to lose the home.
