Ive been using Young Living products on and off for many years. In the past they had always put the customer first and if I ever had a problem (which was rare) a viable solution was always quickly reached. Ive recently been very disappointed with a new process theyve implemented regarding monthly subscriptions. Im very busy lately and have little time to manage anything outside of my work and personal life. When a family member was sick I placed a very expensive order on a monthly subscription and changed the date as it was an emergency situation. I did not have time to go back and change my order before the new monthly order processed, meaning that the same products were ordered a second time on a different day than I had been used to. I received an email that the order was about to process again and did have a chance to go back and change it. I woke up this morning to an email stating that the order had been processed (not shipped) and contacted customer service right away to try and cancel/refund the order before it shipped out. While customer service remains very helpful and kind, they stated they could not stop the shipment (had not shipped yet and today is Sunday) and I would have to complete a return. This means that I have to wait two weeks to receive my product, put a return label on it, send it back, and will not be refunded until the product returns to them which could take nearly a month. This is neither logical nor customer friendly when they could simply take the product out of the box and put it back since it has not left their facility. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that the manager would not be allowed to prevent shipment of the product either. I asked why this was this case and if their shipment location had changed, and was informed that to the best of their knowledge there is no third party shipment facility and that Young Living is still shipping from their own facility. Perhaps the reason they have implemented this process is to stop mistakes like this from happening and bringing confusion to their manufacturing and shipping departments. I can understand why that would present several problems to their internal infrastructure. However, it is very possible to have someone pull a box from a pick line and put the product back. If the customer is truly important to the business then a process can be put in place to track this without preventing workflow efficiency. I will likely be canceling my monthly subscriptions and no longer recommending them to others as one mistake on my part means that Im short a healthy amount of money and have to wait nearly a month to get it back. Additionally because Im shorted I will have to wait to purchase the product I actually need. It will be close to two months before I can get it with how long it will take for the refund, processing of the new order and shipments to arrive.While the customer care department remains helpful and kind, Im highly disappointed with Young Living implementing a process like this. Ive been ordering these products for years but now Im strongly considering canceling the monthly order.

If the coat company had honored their warranty when I initially contacted them, I could have saved some money on the return and a lot of time and energy in trying to negotiate with them. This business claims to be reliable and has years of service in their ad, but their behavior is dishonest.
