Canter Power Systems, LLC is a pretty good company overall. They do have a few little hiccups here and there, but that's to be expected when you're dealing with a bunch of different Independent Contractors. It's not a big deal though, just some small issues that come up from time to time. Other than that, they're pretty solid.

Canter Power Systems, LLC could use some improvement in their customer service after selling the generators. It took me quite a few phone calls to different 800 numbers just to get in touch with them. They don't bother returning messages. They sent me an email stating that the maintenance charge for servicing the unit would be $319. Now, I'm having trouble reaching them to discuss the charge. The generator itself works really well, but their customer service after the sale could definitely be better.

I recently had my generator installed and paid the maintenance fee. They assured me that someone would reach out to service the generator. However, it has been almost 90 days and despite my numerous calls and messages, I have received no response. I have also sent emails but have not received any replies. I am extremely frustrated as I am unable to get a refund because no one answers the phone. Dealing with this company has been a terrible experience and I find it hard to believe that ComplaintsBoard.com rates them an A+. In my opinion, they deserve an F rating.

Service was terrible. I ain't had no A/C 'cause the connection to my A/C unit and the phone bypass from a rep didn't work. I've been tryin' to reach a rep for the past 5 days with no luck. I paid $299 in November and either the service guy didn't actually do anythin' or he messed up and now my unit ain't workin'. I'm waitin' for a fix and it's makin' me real mad. So disappointed.

I was reading some of the comments from previous customers and I have to say, I think I'm one of their success stories! Everything went according to plan. The delivery was on time and the crew was great. The gas installation went smoothly as well. The only hiccup was the electrical installation, which got delayed because of Hurricane Ian down in FL (they had to send their technicians to help out). I had to wait for about a week, but it was for a good reason. After the electrical installation was done and I got some minor instructions on how to operate it, I feel prepared for any power outage.

All the people I dealt with, from the sales team to the final electrical installation crew, were polite, efficient, and did a great job in their respective areas. The administrative side of things was also top-notch, keeping me informed about the timing of each service every step of the way.

The price of the generator was in line with what I expected, but all the other costs were way higher than I anticipated. I read an article in Consumer Reports about generators in July that said installation costs were around $2,000, but that was nowhere near the actual costs. Not even close!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to having peace of mind during power outages and I know I'll be able to recoup the costs later when I sell my home.

I bought a Generac Power System from Canter Power Systems without doing any research. I thought it was a good idea, but since September 1, 2022, I regret my decision (at least from Canter). This company is terrible. They rushed me to pay, but their service is awful. I'm still waiting for the system to be completed. I won't even mention their customer service. I spoke to someone named Eric who said he would call me back with an update on the project's completion. I have the generator connected, but they say they're waiting for the gas permit. Why don't they communicate with me? This company is terrible. They took my money and didn't finish the job, and it wasn't a small amount of money either. Someone called me during the first storm and said they would pay for a hotel up to $150.00 per night if there was an outage. Luckily, that didn't happen, but a week or two later, my lights went out and I had to ask my neighbor for help. I spent too much money to not have my service working. My next step is to file a complaint with consumer affairs.
