So, I had booked a ride with CalCabz (calcabz.com) for an Innova 7 seater. The minimum kilometers per day was 250. However, after waiting for a few hours, I did not receive any confirmation for my cab booking. So, I decided to call them up to check the status of my booking. To my surprise, I was informed that the Innova 7 seater was not available at the moment. Instead, they offered me a Tavera with a minimum of 300 kilometers per day. Although the per kilometer rate was less for Tavera, I ended up paying more because of the higher minimum kilometers. I felt that this was not fair at all.

Moreover, I expected them to call me proactively and inform me about the unavailability of the Innova 7 seater. But, unfortunately, they did not do so. I had to call them up myself to know the status of my booking. This was quite disappointing for me.

To add to my disappointment, the vehicle that I got was not in the best of conditions. It was not well-maintained, and I could feel that while traveling.

Without Driver Vasanth Raj, it would have been difficult to manage and complete Darshan on time at Horanadu, Sringeri, Kollur, Udupi (day 1, with Agumbe view), and Udupi (again Morning Seva, Darshan), Kateel, Kukke Subramanya, Belur, and reach Bangalore on Sunday night. But with his help, we were able to execute our travel plan perfectly, covering 1058 Kms in just 2.5 days.

It was one of our best memorable experiences of great Darshan and enjoying the western ghats section's scenery and nature. The kids just loved it.
