The Brick - Extended warranty - 90 days store credit claim.

This is chris newman and I am full deaf.

I want to let you know that I am not happy with the brick's response and service.

I bought fridge for $595 it come with 1 year mafuctaer warranty. The brick salesperson offer me (that person is try fishing me and my wife to buy extended warranty for 4 years) and that saleperson is scammed me to buy your warranty extended for 4 years.

He told me $129.99 for 4 years extended warranty. If 1 year and 4 extended year (5 year) expired. So we can claim anything we want in store for store credit at $129.99

Look at caps (I want show you clear) saleperson said $129.99 (mentioned 3 times) because he try to fish hook like fool us to buy it. So we did bought $129.99 then warranty ended. We go back to store to buy stuff for $129.99 store credit.

However. We did not know about $400 minimum purchase to claim $129.99 store credit.

I said salesperson never mention about $400 5 years go.

I want you or brick or the salesperson to pay the different of $400.

Because we was not told about $400.

Look — > if we know about $400 minimum purchase with store credit... We will walk away and will not buy $129.99.

Let me say loud again - we will not not not not not buy $129.99 warranty and walk away.

Why we are punished for $400. They never told me.

We wasted $129.99. We are scammed.

Remember I sad - if we know $400 mentioned in writing - we will walk away. Right.. Mean I will not - I repeat "not" buy $129.99 4-year extended warranty. - that main point!

We will leave and walk away will not buy it.

Desired outcome: I am ask Brick to pay the difference between me and Brick and Store Credit and $400.$400 - $198 = $202 - Brick Pay... I will pay $68.01 (Coffee table is $198 - store Credit $129.99 = $68.01) because $400 was NO Mentioned in Writing.

The Brick General Manager reviewed my case and agree to my case. You can see his quote (I copied and paste to here) Richard Middleton Sun, Sep 10, 2:20 PM (3 days ago) to me Good day, We have decided to refund your warranty. To your point, if you had known of the $400 minimum purchase you would not have purchased the warranty in the first place. So, we are going to refund the warranty as if you never purchased it. Because it was so long ago, the only way of refunding is to send you a cheque. Can you please verify your home mailing address. The total will be $146.89 (129.99 plus tax). You can expect the cheque within 3-6 weeks of verifying the address with us. Often it may be quicker, but I cannot promise by a certain time. The Brick - Defective piece

I have bought Love Seat and Sofa Together from Brick in Jan 2023. When I got delivery I came to know that Love Seat is defective and at same time I called Brick for the same. Told them to return it or exchange it but they replied that do not have replacement and they can not return. Then they have given me two options, CAD 200 for compensation or our technician will visit you with in 72 hours to repair this. Today two weeks left but nobody cares about things. First they have sent defective piece and then they will send technician. Nice service. But till now I did not get any response from them.

The Brick - Kitchen aid fridge

The Fridge suddenly stopped cooling. I have an extended warranty for 5 years that ends on August 18, 2020. Called the Brick, they asked me to call King and State and e-mail them. I did e-mail King and state...No response despite the urgency of the matter because all the food in the fridge will be spoiled. I called their toll-free number more than once. Every time they let me wait on the phone for almost 30 minutes because of the unusual volume of callers and then hang-up. Will never buy anything from the Brick, again. The fridge was almost $5000, which includes $350 for five-year warranty! What a rip-off.
