Party City

Hello, I am writing to place a complaint on party city located in Richmond Hill, Toronto at Yonge and Weldrick. This complaint is about the manager whose name is Eran if I got it right. On Thursdays Feb 9/2023 I have done some shopping for a friend of mine who is on a vacation and plans on having a party for her daughter next week. Because I needed to make sure if the items are what my friend wants, so I confirmed at the register 3 time if the 3 plastic gold bowls and 2 trays are refundable and she confirmed that they are. I insist I asked three times about return policy. The next morning I went back to get more trays and the guy who said he is the manager (Eran) Was at the cash and I asked about their return policy again, he said they are final sale!

So I explained that just last night I bought the items and the girl at the cash confirmed I can return them. He started being loud in a disrespectful way and saying I need to read the receipt and the sales person, whose ID is on the receipt, is new and did not know what she said! I replied that it can not be my concern that their staff is new, when I confirm with the cashier, I don’t go back and read the receipt right there also there are cameras in the store so I asked him to go and check what happened last night at cash registrar and how my conversation was about with the cashier.

Finally with the loud insulting voice that he was talking to me and attitudes, he said if I bring the items back right now, he’ll take it otherwise he won’t, again I said I can’t drive all the way to Newmarket to bring the items back today but I said I will bring them back the next day, feb11/2023 by noon & I did. So there I am, Saturday by 12:05 or 12:10, line up for register, here comes my turn, the other owner, a woman there but Eran reached out to me, touches the stuff, he goes : these are used, oily, we are not a rental shop, you can’t use items and bring them back!

He is shouting, disrespectful and insulting, making me a liar with having lots of people in line for how much money? Guess what? $25 or $26! I took the items, left the store having all customers looking at us! What kind of customer service is that? How does he allow himself to talk to a customer, a woman all in all, like that?! I do not stand what he’s done and the way he behaved, cameras should be in the store, the corporation must look into this.

I’ll let everybody know what has happened there, would never shop there again
