Canadian Tire - One employee berating another in front of several of us customers.

Unbelievable!

Today I went to your the return desk. There I saw a woman named Susan, very nice and friendly. She had someone on hold & talking on the phone. She was busy & the only one there. All of a sudden an other employee named Darleen, @ the very far end of the counter started yelling at her. There were two other customers behind me as well. She was so loud & pointing fingers @ this employee. Apparently according to her, her customer had waited 40 minutes, getting his product etc & she felt he wasn’t being taken care of fast enough for his $2000 order. I didn’t make this up, she yelled this out in front of everyone! It shouldn’t matter if it was $5. Susan tried explaining to her the current situation that she was on the phone & she was. After her loud, berating, bullying antics she pushed his cart all the way to my end, moving me away from the counter to get a price check for her customer. Unreal! Couldn’t she have performed this task? After giving him a reduction in price he was on his way. I said to Darleen why are you being such a [censored] yes in front of everyone for I’m sure that is what they were there! She then went & hung out down @ the end of the counter. Susan apologized & I told her she shouldn’t be the one apologizing to all who were waiting. Susan handled it a lot better than I would have. I’m 75 & have never seen such berating!

Call me Dennis Cox Newmarket [protected].

Desired outcome: She needed to recognize her loud, berating [censored] additude can not be tolerated in your store and praise to Susan for her professionalism!

Canadian Tire - car repairs

Hello,

On March 1, 2019, battery and break lights came on at the same time and I decided to get my car checked at Canadian Tire in Newmarket. Romeo, mechanic, tested the battery and said it was in good condition. So he changed the alternator in my car. But in a few days, on March 5 my car stopped and would not start and I had to tow it from Toronto back to Canadian Tire in Newmarket. The same mechanic who told me a few days ago that the battery was in good condition now said the battery needed to be changed. So he changed the battery on March 5. Next day, on 6 March, my car stopped in Aurora and I had to tow it from Aurora to Canadian Tire in Newmarket. On March 7 the same mechanic told me there was a bad connection between alternator and battery. All invoices # [protected], [protected], [protected] enclosed. It is not clear what was bad - alternator, battery or there was simply a bad connection between them? Anyway, the above two tows in total costed me $497.20 (if needed I will provide invoices).

Under the Consumer Protection Act, the repair shop, i.e. Canadian Tire, Newmarket, has to reimburse towing costs involved because my vehicle broke down during the warranty period, because the repair was faulty.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Sincerely,
