Canadian Tire - Automotive parts

At the beginning of January 2024. I called the parts counter in prince gorge bc. To see if I could get a replacement key for my car and to see if I could get the farb programmed. We went through the make of my car the year the brand etc. and even to the point of me emailing a picture of my key to make sure they could do it I was on the phone for about 30 mins going through everything. So yes I could get my key cut and yes they could program it, so we ordered the key and then I waited for a phone call which I got. On the 19 th of January. So I also forgot to mention I live an hour and half away from prince which was the reason I sent a pic of my key. So I got to the store on the 26th and paid for my key and then I stood there for about 20 mins for the guy that was helping me in the parts section then told me they could program this key they didn’t have the right tool. Which at that point I was annoyed because I just spent 80 dollars driving there to get this done which the guy before said it could be done. So anyway I got a refund and the spoke to the woman behide the desk cause I wanted to put in a complaint and after I explained what had happen and that the service guy on the phone at the beginning should have looked at all of what needed to be done I wouldn’t have wasted most of my day and money for something that could easily been avoided and her answer to me was that you for your input. Not one person apologized for what had happened or has been compassionate for what had happened. I wasn’t asking for anything other than a apology which no one could give. I am a single mom that works everyday and I do not have the spare money for this kinda stuff especially with the economy right now and to be brush of the way I was, was not acceptable especially when it doesn’t cost a thing to apologize or have compassion for the situation.

Claimed loss: 80 dollar’s and my time.

Canadian Tire - Customer service

March 28, 2021, I will not go into detail because I am sick of talking and nothing gets done. The best thing to do is close down Prince George store. When you complain about anything even the general manager does not follow up to solve an issue. I bought a pair of Stanley steel toe work boots. After about 4 months they slit open. I returned to the store with them and was told to bad only 60 day warranty. I paid close to a hundred bucks and expect better.
