I meant to enter this complaint just after it happened but didn't get around to it. I would say this happened on or about August 10. I went to use the washroom at the Walmart at Hillside Mall in Victoria BC. A woman came out ahead of me and she said "there's a mess in there". Well, there certainly was. The toilet seat was covered with urine and there was no toilet paper, at least none that I could access easily. There was a mess on the floor too. I decided not to use the washroom and went elsewhere in the mall. It was not late in the day - it was the middle of the day. This could have been a problem for someone that was in a desperate way. This was the first time I've tried to use the washroom there so it may just be a one time thing. I have to say I am impressed with this Walmart for other things - I placed a grocery order last night and received my order today and was completely satisfied. I just thought this was something I should mention so it doesn't continue to happen that the washrooms are not clean. Thank you!
Desired outcome: That the washrooms are cleaned regularly
The washrooms are probably cleaned regularly, but some of the people who shop at Walmart or gas stations do not know how to flush aim or wipe. Thought in your case it could be due to a lack of toilet paper. It just shows what kind of people live in that town and makes you wonder what their home is like. With the amount of people, there, they get dirty fast. They would have to clean every 15 minutes. Sadly they probably have other things to do and some adults are not taught basic toilet etiquette as kids, so what chance do they have as adults? However, they have signs saying if the washroom was cleaned every hour. You can check that and see when the last time the washroom was cleaned. Same thing at Subway stations. Just face it, some places you can clean and in five minutes it is a disaster. This speaks volumes of the people living nearby, more than the staff.
