After months of trying byte aligners, I couldn’t handle the pain from the aligners cutting into my gums and that they were causing my gums to recede. I went to my dentist and she confirmed they were not working for my teeth and that they were damaging my gums. She wrote me a letter of recommendation to stop treatment immediately. I filed that letter with Byte and they agreed to give me a refund. The refund was processed 3/14/23. It is now 5/17/23 and I finally received a check in the mail however the check is not valid to be cashed. I’ve tried calling Westlake portfolio, Bytes partner that handles the financial and they will not connect me with anyone, they transfer me when I tell them my name but my call never gets answered after it’s transferred. I’ve even ask for Managers and the corporate number. A customer service rep gave me a number that she said was corporates number but when I called it, I found out it was just another customer service number. I’ve never had such a terrible experience with a company before. I don’t know if I will ever get my real refund. First they said it would take 14 business days and it would be issued to my card then said it would take 30 business days and would be issued via check. Do not ever do business with Byte or Westlake Portfolio!

Desired outcome: REFUND!
