We just changed from optimum to verizon and i HATE it. Everybody says verizon is better but it SUCKS. The wifi is slow. There are no channels I like. It won't let me go on anything. I hope verizon shuts down....

Approached by Fios rep at a Walmart store in Hamilton NJ offering packages to switch from cable. Asked what services I currently had and offered a package that matched plus one additional premium channel for a couple of dollars more. Was supposed to include a free 7 inch tablet and $300 gift card. Was told I would receive voucher in the mail for tablet and would just go to the wireless store to pick up. Rep was working from a tablet at showed me details we agreed to prior my signing up. Email confirmation of order did not include gift card offer and tablet required 2 yr contract with Verizon wireless....

Verizon - New Jersey, MOUNT HOLLY - Internet changed to slower speed

I renewed my contract with verizon wiith a slower dsl speed they said I would not notice,

Well I do notice, I can't do anything. I check my speed and it is less than .5MPS - I have tried everything to upgrade and am told I can't.
Why am I paying for something I can not use. $20 a month times 2 years $1200.00 and then after my two year contract they
will increase my speed so I can use the internet and lock me in again?? I don't think so. All I wanted to do was an upgrade on my speed which would be more money in their pocket

Verizon - Hidden Fees

We bought a Samsung cell phone. Our "bill" from that showed zero balance for activation and upgrade fees. We then received our Verizon bill with fees for activation and upgrade. When I called and asked why my original bill did not show such fees, I was told that I had gone to an Verizon outlet store. I never heard of a Verizon Outlet store. The explanation given was ludicrous...cannot wait for this contract to expire so we can get out...wish the FCC would monitor...Verizon is scamming their consumers....

Due to the large unannounced increase in our monthly bill, I had reduced our services earlier in the summer. On September 2, 2014 I called Verizon to sign up for the "Red Zone". I was told that the package I currently had would not allow for the "Red Zone". When the rep quoted me the price I would have to pay for the premium service, I said no. Instead of leaving it alone, he told me that he could give me a great discount if I locked into a two year contract. Verizon - Early termnation of service

I cancelled Verizon service effective Monday September 8th - and verified that. They cut off my service on Friday September 5th and subsequently validated that I should have been cut off as agreed on Monday Sept 8th. My wife and I know of 4 separate incidents in our building in the past 12 months where either the cut off date was "mistaken" early - never late, or somehow the cabling to the unit was severely messed up for the next provider to deal with - Dirty tricks. For nearly a year now, Verizon has been charging us each month for a number of National Directory Assistance (NDA) calls at a billing rate of either $1.99 (last year) or $2.49 per call (this year). Most months, there's at least two calls billed to our account. However, there have been months where the number of billed calls has been as high as 12 calls! But I would say the average number of NDA calls per month would be approximately 4.

On 4/13/2014 I placed an order on Verizon's website and at the end it had me enter social, and date of birth generally I consider this for the credit review. After all was finished I received a confirmation for my order and printed this, on the bottom it stated est delivery date 4/16/2014. I just spoke with Verizon to obtain a tracking number for the order and after being switched 5 times I was finally told that I would need a deposit of $1200.00 to complete my order. Verizon - Business card order for 250 cards

On 3 occasions I have ordered the 250 free business cards Verizon advertises on line. You sre sposed to get the card for free 250 you pay the postage. When I did not get the cards in a timely manner I wrote several letters which were ignored. Whe I called the Verizon customer service on the phone I was treated VERY rude given a big run around and hung up on. Now I have NO cards an I am out my shipping money. I called and talked to Verizon representative in 2012 I told her I wanted to close my account . She informed me I needed to pay 77.70 and account would be closed . I asked her if there would be any further charges and she said " If you pay the 77.70 today your account will be closed and nothing else would be owed " the call was recorded . On may 5, 2012 I paid Verizon 77.70 with my Visa card ending in 6785. Several months later they said I owe them 153.00 I told them exactly what happen and what their Rep told me to do in order to close my account which I did and advised them to listen...

Verizon - No Dialtone/Static/Noise on Landlines Phone (Copper) & DSL Interference

For some weird reason whenever it rains we lose our land line (copper) residential phone service. When we contact Verizon the fix is temporary at best. There is heavy static on the phone and then we lose the dialtone.

I am really fed up with this & hope it is corrected ASAP and not for a short time....

I figured out that Verizon only can figure out late payments. I have a college degree and I can estimate the amont. Verizon does not value it's customers. I have had verizon for over 15 years. Recently, when I went in to upgrade my phone, I was told that I was going to have to give up my data plan unless I want to buy my new phone outright. I do not think it it fair that verizon expects me to pay the same price for 2g of data that I am paying for unlimited. Is this how you reward people for loyalty?
