I purchased a pair of glasses went back 2 days later to have adjusted and employee broke frames. The employee removed a sample pair of frames from wall and installed lenses, it has been 2 months and my glasses are still not correct. The employee refused to order new frames for which I paid $ 217.00 . Also Sears will not do anything about the issue because they don't own or operate Sears Optical space is operated by Luxottica. They should have this posted in the store so consumers are aware they are not dealing with Sears....

Ordered and paid $$452.98 for eyeglasses on 6/18/12 at 3400 Gateway Blvd. in Prescott, AZ 86303; 928-777-7700. After three weeks I was told frames were not available at lab, mailing ones from store to lab. A week later told had to come in to store and order different frames; (Chris, Optical Mgr.) offered 20% discount. On July 9 told the new frames had to be shipped from store to lab and they would do that day. On July 16 Chris told me the frames had not yet been shipped but would do today.

On July 16 (almost 30 days after the original order) I told Optical manager I was cancelling...

I went to sears optical because they accept and offer discounts to aarp members. By the time I was done I waked out of there with a 350.00 purchase. When I got home I discovered that 1- I was not offered a cheaper lens alternative, 2-I was charged an "accessory fee" at 29.99 and not told about it(for a service that I was lead to believe at the end of the sale was free) They say they gave me a 30% discount for aarp(which would have made the sale 105.00 more) which aarp said was supposed to be a 40 % discount. This was supposed to be a noline bifocal 2 pr for 99.00 sale. Needless to say,...

I needed a new pair of bifocals, since my other pair had broken. I knew they were expensive. My vision plan is only available at some stores and Sears happened to be one of them. I had my eye exam and then checked out the glasses. I had reservations after I had visited with the salesperson. She seemed rather lazy, but I blew it off. After I ordered my glasses I waited about a week and they finally came in. I was excited until I put them on when I got home. Their customer service was appalling, both for the quality of their eye exams and their complete lack of customer service. I learned the hard way that "you get what you pay for" when you opt for a discount eye exam. To start with the optometrist incorrectly diagnosed my vision leading me to end up having to pay for another exam with a different (absolutely wonderful!) optometrist at an independent eye doctor. On 1/27/11 I had an eye exam and picked out both daily prescription glasses and also prescription sunglasses. I paid for both pair in the amount of $479.00. I was told that it would be approximated around two weeks and that they would contact me when they received them back from the lab.

I have contact Heidi (store mgr) and also Jennifer on a weekly basis since that appointment and have been told that they have not come back. Sears Optical - California, San Mateo - lens coating gets blurry patches

Bought glasses with scratch resistance, glare resistance and now there are several blurry patches in the coating on the inside of the glasses.

Sears optical blamed me for causing scratches, but there are obviously no scratches. They offer no refund or replacement.
Better go to a different shop next time....

Had purchased glasses from Sear Optical about 6 months ago. Paid for scratch resistance, glare resistance and the polorazied lenses. Glasses have clear smudge marks on them. Called Sears Optical department and spoke to someone that thought I was an Idiot!!! I was informed that the heat from cooking or splattering of grease from cooking will do that, or I cleaned them without wetting them, or my eye lashes were to long and scratching them when I blink. I purchased transition lens glasses in November 2008. I returned them in March because the coating on the lenses smeared with white spots that could not be removed. They replaced them and now I have the exact same problem with the lenses. I cannot use the glasses because the coating is again smudged with white spots. I took them back today and the person in the optical dept afffirmed that the coating has once again failed. She offered me a 50% discount-because they are only guaranteed for 90 days. Obviously, after 4 months the glasses fail. So, 50% is worthless to me-since they will probably fail...

Ive ordered glasses from this organization months ago.The eye prescription has been wrong from the beginning.This is the 4th time that the glasses have been returned to be corrected..they say, next wednesday they will be here.That wednesday never comes.then the guy that works there said Im busy, cant look it up.Attitude.Still no glasses.
Summary.they are the worst, the armpits of the optical business.they have a nit wit that gives eye exams that last about 20 seconds.they are as bad as Americas best.anothe beaut.If you have any brains, you will not go to Sears Optical.Also the price changed....

October 2007 I used my Sears card at Sears Optical to purchase a pair of glasses on a really good sale. I was reminded repeatedly how much I was saving. Ok, great. Now it's almost September 2008 and I still don't have what I asked for almost a year ago. I hope no one has ever gone through this kind of ordeal, because it is ridiculous.

I did get my glasses after about a month, only to find that they didn't contain the transition I asked for. I came back and new lenses were ordered. I was having major surgery in December so I didn't bother to call to ask about them...

I ordered 4 pair of glasses from Sears Optical during their "complete pair of glasses for $99" special which ended 6/28/08. This was on 6/23/08 in the evening. Less than a week later, I called in to find that my 2 pair of clear lenses had come in already but not the computer glasses or the sunglasses. I waited until I returned from vacation and called in on either 7/5 or 7/6 only to be told my computer glasses were in, but not the sunglasses. On 7/7, I was called by Terry, the store manager of the Optical department and informed that my glasses were shipped and should be here by Friday...

I purchased progressive lenses at Sears. Returned three times because could not see with them. I was told the prescription was correct and to go back to my opthalmologic. The website says "Satisfaction Guaranteed with No Questions Asked." DO NOT BELIEVE SEARS OR THEIR OPTICAL PROVIDER, U.S. OPTICAL. It has been one year and I am still fighting to return glasses I cannot wear. They told me I must return within 90 days - I did try!! In April of 2007 I purchased a pair of drillmount glasses from the Sears Optical store in Logansport, Indiana. By the time all the bells and whistles were added, I paid $600 for this pair of glasses. No warranty info was given to me at ANY time.
About 6 months later as I was cleaning them, they broke out where the lens joins the frame at the nose piece. I got online to see about contact info and that is when I discovered that I had a one year warranty on the glasses.

I went to the Sears Optical office located in Manchester, NH on August 1st, 2007 for a routine contact lens examination. I had a horrible experience and it has proved to follow me even after my departure. I was more that early for my scheduled appointment and yet I was a half hour late in starting my exam. At the end of August 2006, I purchased no line trifocals from Sears Optical at Southlake. The glasses, with discount, cost $215.00 and from the first time I put them on, I wasn't sure if they were right. The distance seemed off and the reading was blurry.... She told me to try them for the day and "get used to them" that my eyes needed to adjust to the new prescription.
