In August 2013 I had Direct TV and AT&T both connected. Direct TV for television and AT&T for internet and home phone. I had a one year contract with Direct TV. I was told at that time that I would receive one bill and would get a discount for combining services. Ten months later (after several phone calls of complaining that I was getting 2 separate bills every month with no discount) I decided to disconnect Direct TV and go with AT&T U Verse. Put a black woman in place of the white woman and hang her from strings - we would hear plenty of complaints. But, the woman in this commercial is white, blonde and made to look dumb as shit. I had Direct TV since 2001. They charged me a
deposit of $250 back then. Yesterday I called to cancel Direct TV. They
said I'd be charged a cancellation fee, but I only had a 2 year contract
in 2001. Also, I said I wanted my $250 Deposit back.
They said no, it went towards equipment. They said I have to send in my
equipment, I said not until I get my $250 back. They said they would
withdrawal from my bank then. I said I don't allow you to do that, but
they said they can. How can they get way with this? Who can I call to get refunded...

Apparently someone used part of my personal information to open an account with Direct TV. I have never had an account with Direct TV and I have lived at the same address for over 27 years.


These two collection agencies are on my credit report because someone fraudulently
opened an account without my permission.

I was on the phone for over an hour today with a very nice Direct TV Rep. to get an estimate for new bundle service at my home. (TV, Internet and land line) I was told that an email with the estimate of the monthly payment with the details would be sent so I could analyze the estimate with my current provider. I was overcharged for equipment. I had a receiver in a second bedroom which I had not used in months. I decided to cancel the receiver and was told that particular receiver had already been deactivated in 2011. I did not deactivate it and it was still on my invoice. They had me paying for a receiver which they deactivated but had not removed from my invoice for over two years!!!. Direct TV installed a NFL Package without our consent and charged us for us because
"we did not cancel it". We spent an hour on the phone so far with no attempt by Direct TV to
adjust these charges. This is a total rip off. We never requested the NFL Package, never even knew we had it.

Do not do business with Direct TV. They are a big rip off....

Called Direct TV and had conversation re: tv and internet bundling. Prices quoted included both. My father agreed to prices and packages which included "mediacom" internet. Installation dates for both set. TV installed 3-6-14. Appointment for Mediacom internet installation was set for 3-12-14. Mediacom did not show or call. Called Mediacom and they had no record of "bundling" and stated they did not bundle with Direct Tv. Call to direct TV and they said they DO bundle with Mediacom. But the TV rep said "her computer did not show that the internet part was ever order"....

I made a payment on my credit card in January 9 2014 to Direct TV for my billing amount. I received a e-mail from Direct TV that my bill is late. So I called to find out they claiming they have not received the payment. I called the credit card company to find out that the payment has been made. I called Direct TV back only to find out that I have to make a complaint before I can get any results about my payment. I have a copy of the payment from my credit card. We are landlords and two of the renters in the tri-plex signed up for Direct TV. They were not given the form for the landlord to sign giving permission for installation of dish (problem #1)
First tenant has dish installed. It is in the driveway, near where the other tenant parks. (#2) It is over the sewer line. Instead of using existing holes in the walls, he drills in more holes and cracks the siding. (#3) The black wires run up the street side of the house and are ugly to look at (#4)
Second tenant has dish installed. Same problem-holes in siding, black wires running on steps (#5-6)

Today I viewed a television commercial that was inappropriate and distasteful.
The commercial depicts a city in turmoil with panic and pandemonium in the streets, a real free for all depicting an elderly man falling victim to a rioters sucker punch to the stomach! Listen, we all too often we hear about our elderly population falling victim to assaults by young hoodlums often with fatal consequences’ This, I guess was humorous to the ad executives, a twisted humor that somehow glamorizes or normalizes assaults on the elderly. My sister in law's credit card was used for the initial set up of the account #58399155 and it was made clear to Direct tv representative that my sister in law's credit card information was only to be used the one time. Since then her card has been charged three times for payments on my account which has caused she and my brother serious financial distress. I would like for the funds taken in both November and December 2013 to be returned to her card immediately....
