We have had Direct TV service for one year. It included local channels, which, when we signed up for Direct TV, would be the Toledo, Ohio, channels. We needed these local channels because of it being the area in which my husband drives for work. We were assured we would have those local channels. Today, without notice, our local channels were switched to an entirely different city. When we called Direct TV, we were told that was just the way it was. That the FCC determines what local channels we could get. What happened in one day to switch us from one city to another!? We were told we could not...

I called an ordered a package deal with Internet for 66 dollars a month. I waited for the equipment for almost 2 weeks. The Installers came to the house Sunday to install the equipment. I Found out that we are not getting the Internet. I called customer service and was told I did not order Internet. I told him the confirmation number and he told me had the wrong number. I feel that direct tv has done false advertising. I was told that I have to pay 63 dollars a month just for direct tv. Internet will be 49 dollars more and only can use 20gbtyes. 0n 08/17/2014 i called my debit card to find out i didnt have the money i put on my card in my account.i called my bank to find out direct t.v was the one that took my money out of my account with out my permission. i never had an account with direct t.v nore do i plane to get service from direct t.v.if this what you have to look foward to direct t.v taken money out your account with out permission.no thank you..i have never had this peoblem with money beening taken from my account with out my knowlage.i dont know how they did it when i dont have direct t.v.and you have to go through hell and hot...

Over 5yrs ago i lost my job and was going through a divorce. The house had to be sold and i was working on a job that was paying any benefits. I contacted direct tv to explaine to them the problem. Now i had been with this company over 6yrs. I was told when i find a place to live they would come and hook up. In August 2013 I had Direct TV and AT&T both connected. Direct TV for television and AT&T for internet and home phone. I had a one year contract with Direct TV. I was told at that time that I would receive one bill and would get a discount for combining services. Ten months later (after several phone calls of complaining that I was getting 2 separate bills every month with no discount) I decided to disconnect Direct TV and go with AT&T U Verse. Direct TV - Can't watch shows online

abc.com allows you to watch shows 7 days after airing and if you have an account with a tv provider you can log in and watch the newest shows the next day. Direct TV, the only provider not available to be able to sign in and watch through the network, only allows shows after 14 days and you must log in to the direct tv website. This is the worst company to sign a contract with. Can't wait until my contract is up....

I had Direct TV since 2001. They charged me a
deposit of $250 back then. Yesterday I called to cancel Direct TV. They
said I'd be charged a cancellation fee, but I only had a 2 year contract
in 2001. Also, I said I wanted my $250 Deposit back.
They said no, it went towards equipment. They said I have to send in my
equipment, I said not until I get my $250 back. They said they would
withdrawal from my bank then. I said I don't allow you to do that, but
they said they can. How can they get way with this? Who can I call to get refunded...

Apparently someone used part of my personal information to open an account with Direct TV. I have never had an account with Direct TV and I have lived at the same address for over 27 years.


These two collection agencies are on my credit report because someone fraudulently
opened an account without my permission.

I was on the phone for over an hour today with a very nice Direct TV Rep. to get an estimate for new bundle service at my home. (TV, Internet and land line) I was told that an email with the estimate of the monthly payment with the details would be sent so I could analyze the estimate with my current provider. I was overcharged for equipment. I had a receiver in a second bedroom which I had not used in months. I decided to cancel the receiver and was told that particular receiver had already been deactivated in 2011. I did not deactivate it and it was still on my invoice. Direct TV installed a NFL Package without our consent and charged us for us because
"we did not cancel it". We spent an hour on the phone so far with no attempt by Direct TV to
adjust these charges. This is a total rip off. We never requested the NFL Package, never even knew we had it.

Called Direct TV and had conversation re: tv and internet bundling. Prices quoted included both. My father agreed to prices and packages which included "mediacom" internet. Installation dates for both set. TV installed 3-6-14. Appointment for Mediacom internet installation was set for 3-12-14. Mediacom did not show or call. Called Mediacom and they had no record of "bundling" and stated they did not bundle with Direct Tv. Call to direct TV and they said they DO bundle with Mediacom. But the TV rep said "her computer did not show that the internet part was ever order"....

I made a payment on my credit card in January 9 2014 to Direct TV for my billing amount. I received a e-mail from Direct TV that my bill is late. So I called to find out they claiming they have not received the payment. I called the credit card company to find out that the payment has been made. I called Direct TV back only to find out that I have to make a complaint before I can get any results about my payment. I have a copy of the payment from my credit card.
