Bristol Street Motors No parts for my warranty

Dacia Sandero VK71WHC, 21000 miles 14 months old.

Bristol street motors Renault Gloucester.

This car has been in your branch Since 14th January 2023 And I still do not have it back , last contact 10 days ago and still no part available. Brought the car under warranty as it states in the terms and conditions you would provide the part.

I believe this is not a reasonable time scale. I have already emailed Dacia and it’s the same response we can not get the part. How do you plan to resolve this with out me taking the matter further? Almost 3 months and no closer to it being resolved.

Desired outcome: I would like you to buy the car back at a fair price so I can put an end to the stress it is causing me

Bristol Street Motors Sales and aftercare/warranty

I purchased a used Ford focus and warranty from Bristol Street Shirley as I believed to be buying from a reputable company. However having owned the car for just over 1 month all sorts of problems arose.

Firstly it was just "tyre pressure" this warning came on each week and always the same tyre (note: this was also an issue the day I took possession of the car).

Back to Bristol street to be told it was the weather and they pumped said tyre up.

I was worried that this may be a slow puncture?

Secondly, the "oil change" warning came on. I again spoke to Bristol Street and was told this had been done at the last service.

Thirdly, the "engine management" warning came on with an urgent message: engine service needed.

Spoke again to Bristol street who finally got the service team to book my car in on 16/11/22.

I dropped the car off at 8.30am as told. Phone call from service on the afternoon to say that it was the "vaporizer" and I should not be driving it.

It then took the entire day and the nxt for warrenty to ok the work needed. At that point the parts were ordered.

The tyre problem was a leaky valve and for "good will" an oil and filter change would be done.

It's now Friday, 3 days without my car. I'm now being told that at the earliest my car should be done by late Monday 21/11/22.

Totalling 6 days without my car.

Add to this the fact that the warranty will not authorise a courtesy car as the job itself will only take 3 hours.

Now, if it was just myself I would not bother with a complaint, but I look after my elderly mother who relies on me and the car.

Also, how can Bristol street sell a used car with so many problems/faults?

I could understand if I had bought from some back street car sales, but I trusted Bristol Street.

I'm so very disappointed and let down by all this and would not buy from you again nor recommend.

Unhappily yours

MQ

Desired outcome: Ideally I would like my car fixed ASAP. Or be given a courtesy car.

Bristol Street Motors I was sold a car not roadworthy

In November 2020 I purchased a Ford fiesta MW66 YPU from the Redditch dealer.
This car had almost 12 months MOT and yet it was not fit to be on the road!
The driver's side tyre has had a different aspect ratio as the other tyres!
Needless to say the MOT this year has failed and I have been inconvenienced having to go back to the garage to get it fixed.
Quite honestly I am disgusted that you have sold me a car for a significant figure- over £9, 000 to be exact, and all this time it has been faulty!
I'd like to know what compensation you are able to give me with regards to this matter.

Bristol Street Motors purchasing car

I have purchased numerous cars from Bristol Street Motors in Sunderland, over many years, the last purchase I am not happy with, I was under the impression I was purchasing a ex demonstration, however after I had given the salesman my cheque and read paperwork it has been a fleet car, had I been told this I would not have purchased. The car interior on closer inspection there were animal hairs, I am a lady in her 70's they are well aware of my recent stroke and heart problems, I informed 3 members of staff within 24 hrs I was not happy with the car, 3 weeks later I am still waiting for a solution, I feel as if I have been conned out of £11000 pounds, I have been a Vauxhall owner for over 30 years and always been delighted with my cars, it also appears this car has been on the continent, and feel as though my vunrability has been severely abused

Bristol Street Motors total lack of help for the customer

I purchased a car from your Chesterfield, Chatsworth Road branch and collected the car on Friday, 28th Feb 2011. My car a Vauxhall Tigra reg When I agreed to purchase the car I was told by the salesman, the 2 bald front tyres would be replaced and the scratch on the door would be removed as well as a service and valet. This would all be done for when I picked it up. When I picked up the vehicle I was kept waiting for over hour as I was informed that it was having another valet.
As I was in a hurry to go to an appointment I got in the car and drove off when it was handed over to me. I noticed the car was filthy inside. I returned back to the branch. The next day and told them that it was filthy and the scratch was still on the door. i was informed that someone would collect it from my work that was just down the road from the branch. . On Wednesday 2nd March someone came and collected it later returning it clean, but the scratch was not repaired. I was told by Richard to take it back into the branch Friday, where their body shop would carry out the work.

On Friday 4th March, I returned the car to the garage at 8.15am and I collected it later that day. The scratch was finally done. A few days later I noticed the springs were coming through the seats into the legs of myself and the front passenger I also noticed t a burning smell coming from the front brakes. I checked the front pads and saw no material on the brake pads. The hand brake was not holding the car. I again contacted the branch, and was told to take the car back yet again on Thursday 17th March... I picked the car up later that day and new brake pads had been fitted on the front and the hand brake seemed to work ok but nothing had been done about the seats as the engineer said there was nothing wrong with them. The guy from behind the service counter came out with me to the car and I showed him and he said “I don’t know how they missed it, I will get new seats ordered as it’s still under manufacturers warranty and I was told I would be called tomorrow (Friday 18 March). Friday came and no call. Saturday 19th march came and still no call and I called the service department and asked what was going on and was told that they could do nothing as the person that had been dealing with this was not in till Monday. So off I went with a cushion on top of my seat so the spring did not come through onto my leg and waited till Monday. Monday the 21st March arrived and at 09.15 am I phoned the service department and spoke to the person who was dealing with this and he said he would have to speak to someone else and that he would ring me back later that day. I waited and waited and yet again no call. Tues 22nd March. I went into the branch and asked what was being done about my seats and who ever was behind the service desk said “yes they are covered under the manufacturers warranty and I arranged to take it in Friday 25th march. Well the morning came on the 25th march and I received a text message from Bristol Street Motors around 8am saying the seats for my car had not arrived. I then received a phone call telling me that the seats had not come the previous day to be fitted today so they waited to see if it was coming on today’s delivery and it did not and that it will take up to 2 weeks now to arrive. So off I went with cushions still on the seats. On Wed 6th April 12 days after being in last I called into the branch as there was a loud noise coming from the roof and they said the parts for my seats were in and arranged to take my car in the following day. Thursday the 7th April. I took the car into the branch for the loud noise from the roof and the new seats. When I picked the car up only the driver’s side had been done. They would have to order in the passenger one. After waiting nearly 5 weeks I had a message on Tuesday the 10th May saying the parts were now available and I arranged to take the car into Bristol street motors on Thursday the 12th May. I took the car into the branch on Thursday the 12th May and had the front passenger seat finally fixed.

Since the seats have been repaired, the front driver side upright has become loose and moves from side to side. The handbrake again is faulty, when car parked and handbrake fully on. The car rolls forward and a very loud groaning noise comes from the car.
I am totally disgusted by the way I have been treated by Bristol Street Motors

Terrible After Sales Service!
I purchased an Astra from Bristol Street Chesterfield in February 2014 and when I got home I noticed three of the roof rail covers were missing. I contacted Bristol Street switchboard who said they would send an e-mail to the Sales Manager. After two weeks hearing nothing I contacted them again and was told the same thing. When I have phoned direct I was told the person I need to speak to is not in and they would get them to call me back.
To date I have had no call back or e-mail so I have concluded that they aren't interested in customer satisfaction once you handed over your money and it's your own problem to sort out. I wouldn't recommend this dealer to anyone and if you are thinking of purchasing a car from them be very wary!
