In December of 2022 I downloaded the new Boost Mobile One App which claims you can “earn free wireless” by logging in, watching videos, completing offers and spinning a wheel once a day. All of which reward you with “boost coins” you can pay redeem to go towards your monthly bill. About a week after downloading the app I spun the wheel and it landed on 5000 boost coins. I was ecstatic! I thought “ wow ! They were right! I just won enough coins to cover my bill for a month! But almost as soon as it landed on 5000 the app froze and then shut down. When I opened the app back up I saw that it had only awarded me 10 boost coins instead of the 5000 I just won. This was in late December mind you. It’s now March and I have yet to get this issue resolved. I’ve chatted with their customer service over a dozen times. Each time the agents blatantly lie to me and tell me they’ve submitted a claim and all I need to do is wait 24-48 hours and the coins will be in my account. But after waiting nothing happens. I’ve asked to speak to a supervisor but am denied. I’ve called and tried to get help but to no avail. They act like they have no idea what I’m even talking about when I call. And the phone reps also deny my requests to speak to a supervisor. I can’t get anyone to help me with this and I know it’s a common problem because in the App Store they have several, several complaints regarding people not getting the coins when they spin the wheel and it lands on a substantial amount. We’ll get the coins if we win 5, 10, or so, but anything big and the coins are never awarded. And we get zero help from customer service. I’m looking into a law suit for falsely advertising and I’m switching carriers. I’ve been with boost for several years and have always loved their service, but they know this is a problem and they refuse to even acknowledge it, let alone fix it. It’s beyond frustrating!
Desired outcome: Initially all I wanted was the 5000 coins I won added to my account. But now after hours on the phone being lied to and given the run around I think I want compensated for my time and frustration, too.
You are not the first this has happened to! The Boost Coin Promo is a total Joke. No one at Boost monitors the program. Nor is there anyone at Boost who will help! The Program is run by a group called TapJoy. Recently they were fined for not doing as advertised! Also some other underhanded things. I reported TapJoy and Boost to FCC for investigation, we will see how that goes. Basically the offers do not pay, the 5000 freezes, the vendors who are advertising mega coins, don't pay. Total waste of time, you may be lucky enough to earn $5 if monthly bill by login and spins. Other than that, to get TapJoy to pay vendor coins, not going to happen!
I have the same problem with Boost and my missing Boost coins.
If you file a lawsuit, make sure it's a class action lawsuit. I'M ONBOARD !
This problem with spinning, and app freeze has happened to me also. Basically I feel the coin reward program is a huge scam! I have downloaded and played games, earned coins, never received coins. The company responsible for program, TapJoy,
won't answer emails, when they do they repeatedly ask for same info over and over again. Just a stall game. Tapjoy has also been in trouble with the Feds, had to pay fines, due to questionable business practices, however, even after that, they still are offering fake reward coins for fake offers! The Boost coin rewards program is not monitored by anyone, Boost has no idea how to answer questions about program. Tapjoy ignores questions. Don't waste your time, aside from the daily spins, for minimal coins, the rest of the program is a scam!
The Boost one app doesn't work.Always have to reset the password and can't login.
