I purchased a Toy Fox Terrier puppy from this breeder and the dog was advertised on PuppyFind and stated that all he dogs are socialized. This dog was 10 months old when I bought it and had it shipped to Atlanta. The puppy arrived safely but was not socialized at all...it would only cower in its bed, would not come to anyone.

I hired a trainer who could do nothing with the dog and then I sent it to a local kennel for two weeks and he seemed to begin coming to the ladies that worked there but no the men.

I contacted the breeder, she did not want the puppy returned and agreed to allow the kennel to find a home for it with a female owner. The breeder agreed to refund my purchase price of $350 but not the shipping cost of $260 and I agreed. Unfortunately after 3 months of attempting to get my money she returned only $150.

I would suggest you do not do business with the dog breeder.

Bill, first off, I told you up front that Trent was more timid around people he did not know, I suggested another puppy that would be better suited for you, but you insisted you wanted him. I even offered you a younger puppy, which you declined. I told you he might take a little more time to get used to you as he was only handled by me. Instead you take him to a "trainer" in less then 2 weeks time. You then surrendered Trent to the kennel and THEN contacted me to tell me that I could probably get him back if I wanted him. The first call should have been to me...not the kennel if you were wanting to surrender him. I contacted the kennel and told them I was more then happy to take him back, but they thought they had a home lined up for him, so I chose to let that take place rather then ship him all over the place again. They were told if this did not work to let me know and I would fly him back to me. I've spoken with the kennel there on more then one occasion and it does not sound like they had the problems you are stating here. They agreed he was timid to start out with, but they all got along fine with him and him and his new owner get along great. (I have been keeping in touch with them) I agreed to refund you until you started to threaten me with legal action and placing reviews such as this on the social media. I paid you half of what you paid for Trent which is more then most breeders would have done considering you surrendered him to another facility instead of letting me know and asking me to take him back. By the way, you paid $245.00 for the shipping and I covered the rest...so at least get your facts straight if you want to try to make someone look bad. Next time if you have a problem with something like this, maybe the breeder should be the first one contacted and given the choice of taking it back or not...not taken to another kennel and then expect a full refund on the puppy.
