So I decided to give BlogaRama a try cause I heard it could be a good place to get some exposure for my blog, right? I went ahead and paid for their service, expecting to get the chance to include multiple links back to my site. But guess what, they only let me put in one single link. I felt like this was pure cheating, honestly. I tried reaching out to them, sent a couple of emails to see if maybe it was a mistake or something, but nope, no response at all. It's like once they got my money, they just didn't care anymore. I'm starting to think it's just a scam, they're only interested in taking your money and not providing the service they promised. It's really frustrating when you're trying to grow your blog and you come across stuff like this. I'd say be careful with BlogaRama, they might not be what they seem.

I've had a pretty frustrating experience with BlogaRama, to be honest. I decided to delete my sites from their platform, but even after doing that, I noticed they kept charging my credit card. What's more, they saved my credit card details without giving me a heads up about it, which I'm not cool with at all.

I reached out to them, sent an email asking them to remove my payment information, but I got no response. It's been four months now, and I'm still waiting for them to get back to me. It's like my request just vanished into thin air, and I'm left hanging not knowing what's going on. It's really not what I expected from a professional service, and it's left a sour taste in my mouth. If you're thinking about using their services, I'd say proceed with caution because the customer support seems to be lacking, at least from my experience.

I remember when I initialy got my blog listed on BlogaRama, it seemed like a good move at the time. The site promised to boost my blog's visibility and for a while, it looked like it was doing just that. But as time went on, I started to notice that the benefits were fading away. The exposure that I was supposed to be getting just wasn't there anymore, and the traffic to my blog started to drop off.

I reached out to their support team a bunch of times hoping to get some answers or at least some kind of improvement, but it was like talking to a wall. I never got any response back, which was really frustrating. It's like they didn't care at all once they had my money. And when I would post new content on my blog, it would take forever to show up on their site. I'm talking a really long time, which pretty much defeats the purpose of timely updates.

Honestly, I ended up feeling like I threw my money down the drain. I invested in their service expecting to see a decent return, but that just didn't happen. It's a shame, really, because you'd think a service like this would be on top of things and provide the exposure they claim to offer. But in my experience, it's just not worth it. I wouldn't suggest using BlogaRama to other bloggers out there. It's a lot of cash that could be better spent on other marketing efforts that actually work.

So I decided to go ahead and shell out 99 bucks for a year-long subscription to BlogaRama, cause I thought it would be a good investment for my work. I needed to get an invoice for it so I could submit the expense to my company and get reimbursed. I figured it wouldn't be a big deal, but boy was I wrong. I must've sent like 20 emails over the course of two weeks, asking them to send me a receipt, but it was like talking to a brick wall. Not a single one of my emails got a response.

Now I'm stuck in a tough spot cause my company's got a policy where they need an invoice to process any reimbursements. Without that, they won't give me my money back, and it looks like BlogaRama just doesn't care. It's like they took my money and ran. I'm out 99 dollars and there's nothing I can do about it.

What really gets me is the complete lack of customer service. It's non-existent. If you're lucky enough to not have any issues after you pay, then great, but if you run into any kind of problem, don't expect to find anyone from BlogaRama to help you out. They're just not there. So yeah, that's my experience. Not great, to say the least.

So I've been using BlogaRama for a while now, and at first, I thought it was a pretty decent service. They offer to put your site in their directory for a fee, which seemed fair enough. But then I started noticing something a bit off. After you pay for their services, it seems like they have a tendency to "forget" to actually provide the service you paid for. What's worse is that they set up a subscription through your PayPal, so you keep getting charged regularly.

At first, I didn't catch on because the amounts were small. But then it hit me – they were charging me, but my blog wasn't being advertised anymore. It's like they just stopped caring once they had my money. And the thing is, they charge so little for their service that it almost doesn't seem worth the hassle to complain about it. I mean, who's gonna go through the trouble of disputing a $5 or $10 charge with PayPal, right? It's almost like they count on that, which is pretty sneaky if you ask me.

Trying to get in touch with them is a whole other story. I've sent emails trying to sort this out, but it's like sending messages into a black hole – no response whatsoever. It's incredibly frustrating. The only way I found to possibly get my money back for the service I never received was to file a complaint directly with PayPal.

Honestly, I think it's important for people to know about this. We need to spread the word and warn others. I'm not the only one who's had this experience, and if we all start sharing our stories, maybe we can put a stop to their shady practices. So let's get the word out there. Write up your own experiences and share them on blogs, forums, and review sites. Call them out for what they are – scammers and cheaters. It's not right what they're doing, and we shouldn't let them get away with it.

I recently had a pretty frustrating experience with BlogaRama, which I had hoped would be a great platform for promoting our online journal, The BookBlast Diary. We went ahead and paid the annual fee of 99 bucks on April 6th, thinking it would renew our listing and keep our advertising up to date with them. But here's the kicker – the last post they featured from our journal is all the way back from February 2018. That's like, ages ago in the internet world, right?

So, I sent them an email to find out what's going on, and their response was kinda baffling. They said, "I still cannot understand anything, please don't write us about translators, writers etc. that's not our business. In simple words - what do you want from us?" I mean, I thought I made it pretty clear, but okay.

I tried to explain again that The BookBlast Diary blog is all about books & literature, which should be right up their alley since it's one of the sectors on the blogarama site. Plus, I made sure to clarify that our blog is totally separate from the editing and translating services we offer through BookBlast Ltd.

Another thing that bugged me was finding out that some blogger was using the BOOKBLAST trademark without permission on their site. That's a no-go, especially since BookBlast? is a registered trademark in both the UK and the USA. You'd think a site like Blogarama would be on top of respecting intellectual property rights, considering they deal with authors, small businesses, and other members who value their rights just as much.

It's a real shame because it seems like BlogaRama used to be a decent service back in the day, but now it's just gone downhill. We're out here trying to get our subscription fee back since they didn't hold up their end of the deal, but it's looking pretty grim. They're not even answering emails, and the phone number they gave us, ***806, doesn't even work. It's like they've just vanished into thin air.

So yeah, that's the scoop on our not-so-great adventure with BlogaRama. It's been a bit of a letdown, and I'm just putting it out there so others might avoid the same headache we've had to deal with.

Back in the day, like a decade ago before social media really took off, us bloggers would often sign up for blog directories to give our blogs a bit of a boost in visibility. Blogarama was one of these directories, and back then, it was pretty decent, but as time went on, it kinda lost its spark. Membership and money weren't flowing like they used to, so about a year back, the site got sold off.

I myself was pretty involved with Blogarama to get some eyes on my food blog. But after a while, I let my account there go inactive and started looking for other ways to draw traffic. Fast forward to last April, I moved my blog over to Wordpress and started using the usual social media spots to promote it. Then, like six weeks ago, I found out Blogarama had gone and taken my RSS feed without asking me. They even went as far as to make a Chef Kevin Ashton page, making it look like I was the one who set it up.

I wasn't having any of that, so I reached out to them to get my copyrighted content off their site. Their response? A big fat no. They tried to tell me that by using my RSS feed, they'd be sending more traffic my way, but that was a bunch of baloney.

Digging a bit deeper, I saw that Blogarama wasn't just linking to my stuff – they were posting my full articles and recipes. So why would anyone need to click through to my blog? And then, to rub salt in the wound, Blogarama had the nerve to offer to cut down my content to just a snippet on their site – but only if I coughed up $9 a month.

That's when I decided to really take action. I sent them a DMCA takedown notice and started talking about this whole copyright mess on my other blog, Grumpy Old Men. Once I put it out there, turns out I wasn't the only one they'd done dirty; other folks started sharing their stories too.

After Blogarama got new owners, they got all sneaky, hiding their ownership behind Whoisguard.Inc and covering their hosting tracks with CloudFlare.

Now, if you do a quick search for Blogarama, you might stumble on some old, positive reviews. But if you dig a little, you'll find plenty of stories like mine. They've got a ton of content which they're using to sell ads, but the way they're getting that content? It's straight-up plagiarism. And then trying to charge us $9 on top of that? Smells like extortion to me.

So, here's a heads-up to all you blog owners: do yourself a favor and search for your name plus Blogarama. See if they've pulled the same stunt on you. It's worth checking out, trust me.
