I purchased a Blackhawk Network gift card in the amount of $105.00 and had an unfortunate experience with my gift card purchase. Upon activating the card, I discovered that it only had a balance of one penny and upon further investigation the card oddly showed a fraudulent transaction on the day of activation. I immediately contacted customer service and followed all required steps and a replacement card was sent only to have the same problem with the replacement card. Upon activation, the replacement card had only one penny on it.
Despite numerous attempts to rectify the situation with the card network, I have encountered prolonged excuses, additional requirements, delays and difficulties.
After numerous calls to them, emails and submitting the requested documents of proof, it has become evident that the gift card company has failed to deliver the expected value, and left me without a resolution. Regrettably, the process of obtaining a refund through the card network has proven to be unsuccessful, leading to a financial loss.
It is disheartening to acknowledge that despite my best efforts, the company and Cardholder Dispute Services seems unresponsive to rectifying this issue, and I feel compelled to share this experience.
Desired outcome: Refund or Replacement card that works
