On 41924 I had an appointment at 10:40 in the morning with BioLife on East Bay drive in largo Florida I arrived at 9:45 a.m. and wait until my appropriate time. Your friend yes provided all of my information, was asked "have you eaten this morning"? I responded "yes, I ate a bowl of healthy cereal (Kellogg's)".

Was told at that point that I've only serial would not be enough. I stated I have been donating for three and a half years at a different center in a different location as I have moved from one city to another and was looking for a place later closer to home. The representative proceeded to tell me that they needed to be sure that I had the right protein and carbs intake before they can let me on the floor. I explained "I never knew carbs was measured in the screening". I then proceeded to tell her again I have been donating for three and a half years I've never had a problem with my protein or my iron the carbs were never mentioned at most three and a half years. She gave me an Ensure with 19 g of protein and a beef jerky steak with 7 to 10 grams of protein making it an additional 22 to 25 g of protein from that morning as I read the cereal box knowing I was going to donate and so the amount of both iron and protein have they tested me before I drink the ensure and the beef jerky mistake that I ate I would have passed with no problem but that took my protein over the 9.0. needless to say I was not very happy more like pissed. (Not to mention TWO phlebotomists did a vein check on me on the 19th my veins were fine.

They told me on 4/19 I could come back 4:20 in the morning I show up at 4:20 this morning on time for my appointment do everything they told me to do. Passed screening and physical, proceeded to the floor where they perform another vein check and denied me because I only had one good vein stating I needed 2.

I am 50 years old I have been donating at octapharma plasma in St Petersburg Florida for three and a half years they have been using the same vein ever since. Not once did they go searching around for multiple veins.

My point is why did two people tell me that it's okay the day before and then I turn around and arrange my day to come back the next morning like their staff told me to do to be told that I can't donate I have the same veins that I had at birth I can't throw another vein overnight so don't tell me to come back the next day that's retarded.

Claimed loss: Yes my time

Desired outcome: I refuse to do business with them I do want some kind of compensation for the three and a half hours I spent yesterday and the two and a half hours I spent today
