Customer Service was Amazing
This is a long overdue review but FedEx lost my package (a limited edition statue) and as a last resort, I called BigBadToyStore customer service to see what my options were. I knew there wasn't much that BigBadToyStore could do since FedEx was the one who lost the package but David (the person who picked up the call) was super amazing, suggested I waited a little more just incase FedEx suddenly finds the statue while putting a new statue on hold. He called FedEx himself to see what was going on AND even after the call with me, he made sure to call and email me back every week to check how the status was going. FedEx did eventually find the package after a month but I just wanted to note how personal BigBadToyStore's customer service was. Thank you so much David!

Great Website with great Features
I use this website frequently to purchase figures. You simply can't beat the $4 flat rate shipping. A lot of people writing these reviews complain about the $4 flat rate but I'm going to assume that none of these people are collectors and just cheap. Where else can you order $300+ worth of stuff, keep it on layaway and then get it all shipped for $4? NOWHERE!
The customer service I have also found to be personable and exceptional. I've had 1 or 2 issues with my orders but they always answer the phone and they always help until the issue is solved. I work in customer service so I see firsthand how for every negative person leaving a negative review there are over 1,000 super satisfied clients that never do. Don't let the few people on here fool you with their nagging and complaining. This is a great store with great customer service, cheap shipping, competitive pricing and exceptional quality.
I've been using BBTS for many, many years and they
I've been using BBTS for many, many years and they have been consistently terrific throughout. Only recently did I utilize their "Pile of Loot" feature. I say recently... but I've been building my pile for a year and a half! The store policies say they ship POLs after 6 months, so either someone there likes me or I was being quiet enough not to be noticed. Either way... it was pretty nifty coming home one day to find a box the size of a small refrigerator siting on my doorstep, packed with all kinds of wonderful things that I had squirreled away over the last 18 months. And I should mention the packaging - these guys must have degrees from Tetris University, cause they assembled my shipment into a near-perfect block w/ plenty of packing materials all around it to make sure nothing shifted or got crushed.
In summery, I will definitely continue using BBTS as long as I keep collecting cool things. They know their stuff and it shows!
I dig this store
I have been buying figures for 3 years now and I have used all the on-line stores (R.I.P. DorksideToys). BBTS web-site is by far the best and easiest to use and to the best photos possible. BBTS will hold your items (if you want) so you can consolidate more items and save on shipping cost. You can build a BBTS balance credit or receive a full refund (within 7 days) for cancelled items, super easy. BBTS ships within 72 hours and that is rare nowadays. EE waited 9 days to put a shipping label on my items and the items got to me 3 weeks after purchase, not acceptable. BBTS packages well and items come in near mint condition even when standard grade was what was paid for. BBTS Customer Support answers the phone immediately and handles business with no attitude. The prices for items are a couple of dollars higher than other places but you are paying for good service. BBTS is also starting to sell exclusives that are usually limited to places where the shipping experience is hell. With BBTS there is no stress, I highly recommend this store.
GREAT STORE!
I've ordered from BBTS a few times now and I've NEVER had an issue. Everything shows up in great condition and is packed extremely well. Yes, it can take a few days for them to ship at times, but I'm sure it's because they are busy and let's face it, no ones going to die because their package didnt get shipped out within 24 hrs lol. Pre-orders have been taking a while, but how can they ship what they dont have? They are waiting for the product the same as the rest of us. Rest assured, you WILL receive it as soon as possible. Honestly, The only bad reviews I'm seeing are from pretentious, impatient, and arrogant people who seem to think that only their time and money matter and that people should bow to their every whim. Look, I LOVE my action figures, but at the end of the day, they are just plastic and I'm not going to die because the store shipped them on a monday instead of Friday and took the weekend off. Plus, the pile of loot feature allows you to put as many items into it as possible, and will ship them ALL for only $4! That alone is pretty awesome. Especially when you have people on ebay who charge shipping that costs more than the item itself... long story short, trust BBTS, they are amazing!
Do buy here
I have bought from BBTS a few times in the past and been happy. Then I ordered two Transformers that were faulty. I complained and Customer Service was great. I asked for replacements but they said that I should keep the faulty ones and they would refund the money, then I could reorder if I wanted to. They refunded promptly and I re-ordered promptly. They took the money and then NOTHING happened. No money, no toys, no communication. I complained and got no response, I emailed again and got ignored again. I complained through PayPal and still no response. So I say: If you have been happy with BBTS then quit while you're ahead. If you're thinking of placing an order: don't take the chance. Big BAD Toy Store are well named, save your money.
THAT WAS MY ORIGINAL POST. Please read on, I would like to completely retract my original post. As I said above they did respond and it went straight to spam (heaven knows why as it never did before) and my computer decided that I didn't need to see the spam file. Luckily my phone showed the spam file. We have sorted everything out to my complete satisfaction. I an VERY HAPPY with BBTS and would strongly recommend them. The problem was, technically, mine as it was caused by my computer but once we actually communicated they bent over backwards to resolve everything. I look forward to doing business here again.
Great Service and Selection at BigBadToyStore!
BigBadToyStore is a great place to shop for toys! I've spent a lot of money there recently, and I couldn't be happier with the service. I had a package that got stuck in Osseo, MN for a while, but I called them a couple of times and they were really helpful. Eventually, the package arrived in perfect condition.
It's funny because I actually had three orders come in at once. The one that I ordered first with FedEx Smartpost (which is the cheapest but slowest option) came last. The other packages that I paid a little more for came really quickly.
I've seen some reviews that complain about slow shipping times, but I think if you choose the cheaper option, you have to expect that it will take longer. Overall, my experience with BigBadToyStore has been really good. I've contacted them a few times during the busy holiday season, and they've always been really helpful.
One thing that impressed me was that one of my packages arrived with a damaged box, but they had wrapped everything up so well on the inside that none of the toys were damaged. I'm sure that if you order outside of the holiday season, things will be even smoother. But considering that we're in the middle of a pandemic, I think they're doing a great job.
I'm really happy with this vendor, and I plan to keep shopping there for all of my toy needs!
Disappointing Experience with BigBadToyStore: Cancellation Mishap, Charge Dispute, and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, my experience with BigBadToyStore was not the best. I made a pre-order back in 2018, but the day after I placed it, I started feeling like maybe it wasn't such a good idea. So, I cancelled it and made sure to check that everything was all good and that I didn't have any items in any of the order sections on the site. But apparently, the cancellation didn't go through on their end, because a whole year later, I got a charge on my card and had no idea what it was for. I totally forgot about the pre-order since I had cancelled it, you know? So, I filed a dispute with my bank and the website got in touch with me about it. I told them that I had cancelled the pre-order, but they said I was wrong and that the item had already been sent. I was like, "Okay, no biggie. I'll just send it back and pay a couple of bucks for the shipping." And that's exactly what I did. I got the item and sent it back 30 minutes later. Then, I called my bank to reverse the dispute.
Before all this happened, I had been in contact with a manager through email. But once I put in the dispute, all contact stopped and my account was deactivated. So, I couldn't see what was going on with my return. I called multiple times, but the people on the other end kept saying that they couldn't see my profile and that the manager wasn't in. It was really frustrating, you know? I still haven't gotten my money back and I haven't had any contact with anyone from management other than the call center rep, Samantha. Honestly, she sounded like she had just woken up from a nap or something. It was pretty unprofessional. But I will say that there was one call center rep, Dave, who actually knew what he was doing and was really professional. So, kudos to him.
Overall, my experience with BigBadToyStore wasn't great. It was really frustrating to deal with all the back and forth and not being able to get in touch with anyone who could actually help me. I don't think I'll be using their services again anytime soon.
Slow Shipping and Lack of Communication: My Experience with BigBadToyStore
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience ordering from BigBadToyStore. Now, I gotta preface this by saying that all the items I ordered were preorders, so maybe my experience would have been different if I had ordered something that was already in stock. But still, I gotta wonder: what's the point of preordering something if you can't even get it when other retailers have it in stock both physically and online?
I ordered three items from BBTS: a Spyro the Dragon plush and two Spyro the Dragon NECA figures (one of which was a collector grade item). And let me tell you, it was a loooong wait. All three items arrived a full three weeks after other retailers had gotten them in their inventory. Now, I get that employees can't magically know when an item will arrive, but three weeks with no updates or helpful customer service? That's just not cool. Buyers are left with zero information until two days before the items arrive at the warehouse. Not exactly the best customer experience.
Now, I don't want to say that BBTS is a bad company. They're not. But when I see every other applicable retailer online and in physical stores with an item less than a week after it's released, I would expect BBTS to be a little more timely considering it's a major online toy retailer. And to add insult to injury, one of my NECA figures arrived with a paint smear on the box. Not exactly what I was hoping for.
All that being said, if you're a patient person, BBTS might not be a bad option for you. It's not like they're running off with your money or anything. But they're definitely not setting themselves apart from other online retailers in any meaningful way. I gave them three stars because they're not as good as Amazon or other major online retailers, but they're not so bad that you should avoid them altogether. They're just...slow.
Unprofessional and Disrespectful: My Experience with BigBadToyStore
I had a really bad experience with BigBadToyStore, or bbts as they like to call themselves. I ordered some items from them, but they messed up my order twice. It was really frustrating because I was given the wrong information about one of the items, and then it was taken off the site for two whole months. When it finally came back, I ordered two of them, but one was damaged when it arrived.
I tried to get in touch with someone at bbts to sort it out, but it was really difficult. I called them so many times, but no one ever answered the phone. I sent them loads of emails, but they were all ignored. I even have proof of 30 emails that were never answered! It was really pathetic.
Eventually, I managed to speak to someone called Rebekah. She was really rude to me and acted like she was in charge of everything. She cancelled my whole account, and even my wife and kids' accounts too! It was really unfair and disrespectful.
I'm so angry about the way I was treated by Rebekah and the other employees at bbts. They don't seem to care about customer satisfaction at all. It's like they only care about making money by scalping people on prices.
I'm actually considering taking legal action against them because of the way I was treated. I think Rebekah should be fired, and the owners of bbts should really think about how they're running their company. It's a sorry excuse for a business that's supposed to sell adult collectibles and kids' toys.
I did have some good experiences with Dave and Liz at bbts, but they were the only ones who were nice to me. Overall, I would not recommend this company to anyone. They're really unprofessional and don't seem to care about their customers.
BBTS's Shipping Service Has Gone Downhill - Beware of Asendia
I used to be a regular customer at BigBadToyStore and I gotta say, their shipping was always top-notch. I live in Canada and even with the slowest shipping option, I would receive my orders within a week or two. It was always so efficient and I never had to worry about anything because they dealt with Pitney Bowes.
However, things have changed and now they use a shipping company called Asendia and it's the absolute worst. I mean, seriously, it's terrible. You're left in the dark for a full week with no tracking information whatsoever. It's frustrating and there's nothing BBTS can do except tell you to wait for some kind of update. And the worst part? The wait can be almost a month or more. When I brought this up to their customer service agents, their solution was "you should have chosen the faster shipping". But let's be real, that's not always an easy option when you're ordering from a US website.
To make matters worse, the customer service agents are extremely arrogant and rude. They lie and try to cover up their mistakes. For example, I had a woman tell me they've always used Asendia, when I pointed out how inefficient that shipping service is. When I told her that I used to get my packages within 1-2 weeks with the slowest shipping option, she kept shutting me down saying that it's not possible. It's frustrating and it makes me not want to use BBTS again.
I purchased from them in December and it took the same amount of time, but I figured it was because of the holiday season. However, I took a chance in January since we are no longer in the holiday season, but to my surprise, it's the same issue. The holiday season was just a convenient excuse. It's disappointing because my sole reason for going to BBTS was the speed of their shipments.
If you live internationally and want to order from BBTS, be aware that you might be waiting forever for your package to arrive. It's a shame because they used to be so great, but now it's just not worth the hassle.
Poor Customer Service and Slow Order Processing at BigBadToyStore
This vendor is consistently slow in processing orders and lacks a sense of urgency in their work. My recent order took a whole week (7 days) to ship, which unfortunately is not an isolated incident. In fact, this has happened with previous orders as well. To make matters worse, three of my high-end orders arrived damaged. When I contacted customer service, I was told that I would have to come and pick up the items in person if I wanted a replacement. This is not the level of professionalism I expect from an online retailer.
The customer service department is managed by two unqualified employees, Rebbekah and Liz, who seem to be more interested in exacerbating customer complaints than resolving them. It's clear that they don't value their customers and lack the motivation to improve their business. This is not the kind of online retailer that you're used to dealing with. Instead, it's more like a mom and pop style retailer founded by two toy-loving brothers in the backwoods of Wisconsin.
To get a better understanding of the work ethic behind this company, just consider their business hours. They only operate from 7am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, and are closed on weekends. It's no wonder that orders take so long to process. They're more concerned about beating rush-hour traffic than fulfilling orders. This is not a sustainable business model and it's clear that they don't have the desire to improve.
It's disappointing that they act like they're doing you a favor by selling to you. As a retailer, they're dispensable and there are plenty of other options out there. I spend around $10k annually on toys and collectibles, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Enjoy your weekends off, BigBadToyStore.
BigBadToyStore Review: Great Service and $4 Flat Rate Shipping, but Room for Improvement
Been shopping at BigBadToyStore for a good ten years now and I gotta say, I'm pretty happy with their service. The $4 flat rate shipping is a real deal, no matter how much or how little you buy. And if you're a savvy shopper like me, you'll take advantage of their "Pile of Loot" feature where you can stockpile items for up to 90 days and then ship them all at once to maximize that $4 shipping. I've saved a ton of money on shipping this way, only spending $16 in total for thousands of dollars worth of merchandise over the course of a year.
Now, I do have a couple of complaints. Their customer service can be a bit slow to respond, but at least they do respond every time. Can't say the same for TFSource, who seem to pick and choose which inquiries they want to answer. I mean, come on, it's an online business, they should have someone available to answer questions 24/7, not just during business hours. And they could definitely do a better job of keeping their pre-order release dates up to date. It's frustrating when you're trying to budget for pre-orders and an item is listed to come out in December, but then it doesn't release until three months later. And then you miss out on something else you might have wanted because you were trying to stay within your budget. NECA is a prime example of this, with several items that were announced in 2016 with a 2016 release date, but are still on pre-order status in 2019. Thankfully, NECA now has a shipping calendar, so I can just check their website for release dates. But it would be nice if BBTS could do the same and update their own listings so that other people who aren't aware of NECA's shipping schedule can budget their pre-orders more easily. It's not always easy to find manufacturer release dates for companies other than NECA, so BBTS not keeping up with their listings can be a real pain.
Overall, though, I'm still a happy customer. The $4 flat rate shipping is just too good to pass up, and I've never had any major issues with their service. Sure, they could improve in a few areas, but what business couldn't? As long as they keep offering great deals and a wide selection of toys and collectibles, I'll keep coming back.
BBTS engages in price gouging and unethical business practices
I've been a loyal customer of BigBadToyStore for several years now, but unfortunately, my experience with them has taken a turn for the worse. Recently, I preordered multiple NECA action figures from them, as I often do for figures that I love. The price was listed at $29.99, with a slashed out price of $31.99, which I assumed was a discount for preordering. However, to my disappointment, BBTS canceled my order without any explanation. When I reached out to their customer service, I was simply told to reorder the figures. But when I went to do so, I noticed that the price had been increased to $37.99! This is not the first time I've noticed BBTS engaging in price gouging, and it's quite frustrating.
When I asked if they would honor the original price of my canceled order, they refused, claiming that the MSRP had changed. This seems like an unethical business practice, especially when their competitors are still offering the same figures at the original price. In fact, when I mentioned that I might order from Dorkside Toys instead, the BBTS customer service representative actually encouraged me to do so. He even made a condescending remark about my desire to order multiple figures, which I found quite rude.
I've decided to take my business elsewhere, as there are plenty of other toy companies that will appreciate my business and treat me with respect. It's disappointing to see BBTS engaging in these kinds of practices, especially when they used to be a company that I trusted and enjoyed doing business with. I hope that they will reconsider their policies and work to regain the trust of their customers.
Update: I recently learned that BBTS is now associated with Premium DNA, also known as Megalopolis Toys. This is concerning, as Megalopolis Toys has been sued by Entertainment Earth and has scammed many customers, including myself. It's disappointing to see BBTS aligning themselves with such a shady company, and it makes me even more hesitant to do business with them in the future.
BigBadToyStore's Gunpla Preorders: A Costly Mistake
I made a big mistake preordering 15 gundam model kits from BigBadToyStore based on a friend's recommendation. It's now mid-August 2022, and none of my preorders have been fulfilled. I've had to cancel most of them because I can find them easily from domestic retailers that know how to order from Bandai/Bluefin. I only have three preorders left, and I expect to cancel them once the kits get reprinted and become available from retailers that know what they're doing.
BigBadToyStore gives you an estimated delivery date, but it keeps getting pushed back. For example, an estimated February 2022 delivery becomes March 2022, April 2022, and so on. My preorders have an estimated delivery date of August 2022, but I don't expect them to arrive this month. On September 1st, the estimated delivery date will be September 2022, and I doubt they'll arrive then either.
BigBadToyStore's existing stock seems to have remained unchanged since I first visited in January 2022. All that's available are mostly decals and p-bandai kits that aren't moving. It was hard to tell how bad their process was because every place you could buy gunpla in the US in January 2022 was struggling stock-wise. I understand that shipping issues were normal for the last couple of years, but other gunpla sites are starting to pick back up again with inventory. BigBadToyStore clearly never got the memo. While they may be good for toys or whatever, they're just not good at all for gunpla. You're better off going to literally any other online store that sells these model kits.
The only positive thing I can say about BigBadToyStore is that they don't take payment on preorders. It's almost like they know they probably won't get any of these items in stock.
Mixed Feelings About BigBadToyStore: Inaccurate Arrival Dates, Flawed Grading System, and Slow Processing Time
BigBadToyStore is a website that I have mixed feelings about. While it's not the worst online store I've used, it's definitely not the best. One of my biggest issues with BBTS is that they always seem to get items in last. The "Estimated Arrival" dates are never accurate, and I've only seen a few occasions where items came out when they were supposed to on other online retailers. I understand that it's just an estimate, but it's frustrating when certain items never seem to come in, even though the company that disperses them shipped them out on time. I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt since COVID-19 has delayed many things, but it's still frustrating.
I placed a preorder for an item that was released in January, and it's currently July, but this item is still up for preorder even though the product itself was shipped out. I'm very frustrated with this, especially since it was supposed to be a birthday gift. The item just keeps getting pushed back more and more. Another issue is shipping. For some reason, it takes an unreasonable amount of time for the order itself to be processed. Once the item is shipped, there's no problem, but it takes way too long for any order to be actually processed and moved out the door.
I haven't dealt with their customer service enough to have a solid opinion of how that stands, but I have noticed that the grading system is severely flawed and is bordering on scam territory. I was happy when I saw that you could choose specific grades of the items that you want to purchase. You pay extra to ensure that a product is in A GRADE mint condition and get a discount on items that are damaged, right? Wrong! First of all, for some reason, there is no discount on damaged or substandard items. Why would anyone willingly buy a damaged item for the exact same price as a standard one that's in "good" condition? Secondly, I have ordered standard items that have come in a condition that fits more into the substandard or damaged range. The "Standard" grade does say that items can be subject to some minor imperfections, but after purchasing from them, I have found that this is just an excuse for them to move damaged product just because they have their collector's grade.
I have purchased a standard grade item and received it with a massive gouge in the side of the box. Now, finally, the collector's grade. This grade is basically to ensure that your package does not arrive damaged or is not damaged when shipped. You have to pay extra for this. So, you're basically paying extra for the bare minimum quality that you should be getting anyway. I have received far too many "Standards" that are damaged and "Collectors" that still have minor imperfections and are what you would normally see if you ordered from a website without a grading system. You're basically paying extra to ensure that your item is in acceptable condition. And like I said, why is there even a substandard or damaged grade if there is no discount on those products?
This is very disappointing because something like this could have been a great way to control the quality of the valuable items you buy that other retailers would not care to do. With that said, I have not had many glaring issues with the things I have purchased and received other than a few things as I stated. I've come to expect these things while shopping with them over the past 6 years, but I must say I'm just extremely dissatisfied and disappointed. This website is probably one of the most advertised, well-known, and most sponsored retailers of collectors. You will often see people repping their name in reviews, which makes hardly any sense considering some of the items they are reviewing haven't even come out on the website yet.
Recently, the company NECA announced that they will no longer be selling any Godzilla-related product. Almost immediately, I witnessed the prices of these items on BBTS increase a very considerable amount. These items are offered by other retailers cheaper and will be released far sooner. I find it disappointing that they are on top of price gouging these items, but they cannot seem to solve the mystery of items that have been floating in preorder land for months. Anyway, that's my two cents. Shop at your own risk. I'm not saying that you shouldn't shop here, but just be mindful of these things if you do.
BigBadToyStore Complaints 13
Don't preorder Gundam model kits here
I preordered about 15 gundam model kits around January 2022 from this website, based on a recommendation of a friend who buys collectibles here. Big mistake! As of mid-August 2022 0 of these preorders have been fulfilled, and I have been periodically cancelling these preorders because I am able to find them easily somewhere else, from domestic retailers that understand how to actually order product from Bandai/Bluefin. I currently now only have 3 gundam kits preordered here, and expect this to become 0 once these kits get reprinted in the next couple of months and are made available for online retailers that know what they are doing.
They give you an estimated delivery date (usually the current month), and when a new month rolls around, the estimated delivery date becomes the month you just entered. What once was an estimated February 2022 delivery becomes March 2022, April 2022, etc). My preorders have an estimated delivery date of August 2022, and I have zero expectation any of these will arrive this month, even if these kits are actually shipping to retailers this month. On September 1st the estimated delivery date on my remaining items will be September 2022, and *surprise!they won't be delivered then either.
All that is available are mostly decals and p-bandai kits that aren't moving; their existing stock seems to have remained wholly unchanged since I first visited on January 2022. It was hard to tell how bad their process was because *everyplace you could buy gunpla in the US in January 2022 was struggling stock-wise. Look, I totally understand that these kinds of shipping issues were very very normal for the last couple of years. It's what made me preorder here; the usual places I buy gundam kits were pretty dry. Production/shipping has since (slowly) ramped back up and while other gunpla sites are starting to pick back up again with inventory the last few months, this website clearly never got the memo. While they may be good for toys or whatever they are just not good at all for gunpla; you are better off going to literally any of the other online stores that sell these model kits. The only positive thing I can say about them is they are the only place I've seen that doesn't take payment on preorders. It's almost like they know that they probably aren't getting any of these items in stock.
BigBadToyStore Review: Huge Selection and Reasonable Prices, But Some Navigation and Inventory Issues
The BigBadToyStore website is a great place to find all sorts of toys and collectibles. However, there are a few things that could be improved. One issue is that the website doesn't always accurately reflect the availability of items. For example, when an item is sold out, the website will often list it as "pre-order" even if it's no longer being manufactured or sold. This can be frustrating for customers who think they're pre-ordering an item that will eventually be restocked, only to have their order cancelled later on.
Another issue is that the website can be a bit confusing to navigate. There are a lot of different categories and subcategories, and it can be hard to find what you're looking for. Additionally, some of the product descriptions are a bit vague, which can make it hard to know exactly what you're getting.
Despite these issues, there are a lot of things to like about BigBadToyStore. The selection is huge, and there are a lot of hard-to-find items that you won't be able to find anywhere else. The prices are also generally pretty reasonable, and the shipping is fast and reliable.
Overall, if you're a toy or collectible enthusiast, BigBadToyStore is definitely worth checking out. Just be aware that there may be some issues with inventory management and website navigation.
BBTS Shipping Times Have Become Unbearable: A Disappointing Experience
BBTS used to be a great place to buy toys and collectibles, but lately their shipping has been a real letdown. As a long-time customer, I've noticed that their processing and shipping times have become downright insane. Even though they offer $4 shipping, it's extremely slow and I've had to wait up to a month to receive my packages. It takes them two weeks just to ship my order, and then another two weeks for FedEx to send it on a US tour. It's frustrating to have to wait so long for my items to arrive.
What's even more frustrating is that there's no reason for it to take so long to process an order. I recently decided to pay for one of their "faster" shipping options, but it still took them a week to process my order and my package still hasn't arrived. I placed my order on June 14th, and today is already the 30th. I'm seriously considering not buying from them again.
If you try to contact BBTS for help, they're not very helpful at all. They always use the COVID excuse for everything, but other online stores I use have no problems shipping right now. Some of these stores are even mom and pop shops, yet they still manage to ship out extremely fast. It's frustrating to see BBTS fall behind like this, especially when they used to be so reliable.

Disappointing Order Processing and Delivery Times at BigBadToyStore
I recently placed an order on BigBadToyStore's website on a Wednesday, but it has been four days and my order has yet to ship. I was hoping to receive my items quickly, but at this rate, I could have ordered from Wish and received my products faster. I decided to try out BigBadToyStore to see how their process compares to other online retailers such as eBay, Amazon, and Walmart. Unfortunately, my experience with this store has been quite disappointing.
Their order processing and delivery times are not up to par with other online retailers. I would not recommend ordering from them if you are looking for a timely delivery. It seems like they take your money and then take their sweet time processing and shipping your order. If you are not patient and do not want your money tied up for an extended period of time, I suggest looking elsewhere.
I ordered only two items to test the waters, but I am already considering canceling my order if I do not receive a tracking number with an actual delivery in process by tomorrow. I am not talking about just a label being made, which could take another few days for them to drop off at the post office or with their chosen carrier. I want to see that my items are actually on their way to me.
Overall, I would not recommend BigBadToyStore unless you are willing to wait a few days or even a week or more for your order to be processed and shipped. The longer they take to ship my items, the less faith I have in this store. I hope they can improve their order processing and delivery times in the future to provide a better customer experience.
BigBadToyStore Review: Terrible Customer Service and Damaged Items
I have to say, my experience with BigBadToyStore (bigbadtoystore.com) was not great. Their so-called "customer service" left a lot to be desired. It's hard to even call it that, to be honest. I had a few issues with my order, and it took weeks for them to even process it. And that was for items that were supposed to be in stock!
If you're thinking about pre-ordering from them, be prepared to wait even longer than you would with other retailers. And when your items finally do arrive, don't be surprised if they're damaged. That's what happened to me.
Trying to return those damaged items was a nightmare. The whole process was just terrible. I don't know how they manage to stay in business with such poor management and rude customer service.
I did a little digging and found out that they source their inventory from EntertainmentEarth. That's why they're so slow - they have to wait for their allotment to ship to their warehouse. And their staff seems to be pretty lazy, too. They're only open until 3pm and closed on weekends, so you can expect long delays with processing your order.
Honestly, if you want quality service, just buy from EntertainmentEarth directly. That's what I'll be doing from now on.
Review: Griffin Legion from Lucifer Brand - My Experience with BigBadToyStore (BBTS)
I've been wanting to get my hands on the Griffin Legion from the Lucifer brand for months now, and it was a real challenge to find one that wasn't a pre-order. But finally, I stumbled upon BigBadToyStore (BBTS) and they had it in stock!
I was a bit worried though, because the only pictures available were professional ones and I had no idea what the actual product would look like. However, there were a few pictures of a "B-grade" version of the figure, which had some slight differences in pose, wings, ears, details, and colors. I was able to compare these pictures with the professional ones and see the differences for myself.
The shipping was pretty fast, considering it was coming all the way from the USA to Europe. Thankfully, nothing was broken during transit. However, I was a bit disappointed to find that the figure I received was actually the "B-grade" version, rather than the one in the professional pictures.
I had a feeling this might happen, as I had done a lot of research beforehand. I even contacted the store a few months prior to my purchase to ask for pictures of the actual product (not just the professional ones), but they refused to show me.
Despite my concerns, I decided to take the plunge and purchase the figure anyway, based on the many positive reviews I had read. And I'm happy to say that I'm not too disappointed with what I received. Sure, it's not exactly like the professional pictures, but it's not too far off either.
To help others who might be in the same boat as me, I've included some pictures of my figure alongside the professional ones. Hopefully this will give you a better idea of what to expect if you decide to purchase from BBTS.
Frustrating Experience with BigBadToyStore: Payment Issues and Poor Customer Service
So, I had a bit of a rough time with BigBadToyStore. I ordered a pre-order for my son's birthday present and was excited for it to arrive. However, when I got home, I saw an email saying that my payment couldn't be processed because my address didn't match their records. I was pretty upset about this, so I decided to give them a call.
I left a voicemail asking what was going on, but I don't think I was being too aggressive. I also sent an email saying that they had a time limit to respond because this was just ridiculous. Eventually, Derek called me back and told me that my financial institution had refused payment. I tried to explain that I didn't pay through my financial institution, but he just kept blaming my credit card company.
Then, he told me that he couldn't confirm what was on file for my address, which I thought was pretty ridiculous. I mean, how can you not confirm someone's address? When I tried to push back, he just hung up on me! Can you believe that?
After that, I got an email from Rebbekah, who was supposed to be a supervisor. But she didn't really help me out either. I've been trying to get in touch with them, but no one has responded to me yet. So, I decided to report them and let people know about my experience on Facebook.
But then, when I tried to deactivate my account, I found out that I'm now restricted from using it! I mean, come on, who's really in the wrong here? It's been a frustrating experience, to say the least.
BigBadToyStore's Negligent Payment Processing: A Frustrating Experience
So, I made an order with BigBadToyStore and they said they couldn't process it because of my billing address. I know for a fact that my billing address is correct, and I've used this card for other online purchases recently. I have plenty of credit available, too. I tried calling them, but I had to leave a message. Eventually, someone called me back and told me to resubmit payment through my account. But, when I went to my account, there was no option to resubmit payment. I called them back and the agent told me he couldn't reprocess the payment. As an attorney, I can say that they were negligent in processing the payment correctly. I spent all day trying to resolve this and even had to spend an hour on the phone with my credit card issuer to confirm that there was no reason the payment wouldn't go through. It's unbelievable that a business would turn away sales during this time. Their poor business practices are unacceptable and I plan on filing a complaint with the BBB.
Buyer Beware: My Frustrating Experience with BigBadToyStore's Return Policy
I recently had an experience with BigBadToyStore (bigbadtoystore.com) that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I attempted to return an item that I had ordered, but was met with resistance from the very beginning.
One thing to be aware of when ordering from BBTS is that they consider the plastic bags that manufacturers use to separate items when shipping 4 or 6 items to a case to be part of the packaging. If you remove the item from the plastic bag, it voids their Return Policy. In my case, I had removed the item from the plastic bag and slid the cardboard sleeve surrounding the item away so that I could see the figure. I had not played with the item or removed it from the packaging in any way. I simply had a change of heart upon seeing the figure in person.
However, BBTS treated the item as if it had been hermetically sealed and needed to be returned in such a manner. I was frustrated by their strict return policy, which left no room for exceptions or special circumstances. As a long-time customer of BBTS, I had never had any issues with their offerings, shipping methods, or customer service before this experience. But now, I am rethinking whether BBTS is a viable source for my collector needs.
It's important to note that BBTS is not like an Amazon store where returns are easy and hassle-free. Unless you are 100% sure that you want the item, you may be in for a "Let The Buyer Beware Moment" if you try to make a return. Overall, I was disappointed by my experience with BBTS and hope that they will reconsider their strict return policy in the future.
BigBadToyStore Preorder Frustration: A Warning to Collectors
I preordered a Deluxe Amaterasu Nendoroid from BigBadToyStore back in September of 2020. The release date was scheduled for November, so I was excited to get my hands on it. However, as time went on, I noticed that the estimated arrival date kept getting pushed back every time I checked the status. I tried contacting their tech support, but all they told me was that they were having technical difficulties due to Covid and that the shipping would be delayed. I understood the situation, but it was frustrating not to have any information about my preorder.
Months went by, and I kept waiting for my Nendoroid to arrive. However, by July 2021, I had given up. I canceled all my delayed preorders from BigBadToyStore. The problem was that it had been so long since the original release date that every other store that got Ammy had already fulfilled their preorders, and they were sold out of their regular stock. I was never able to get my Nendoroid, and I ended up ordering the Oki statue from a different store instead.
To this day, Ammy is still available for preorder, a full year after I preordered it originally. I learned my lesson and will never preorder from BigBadToyStore again. I have another preorder of Pop Up Parade Blake that is sold out and unavailable anywhere else, so I'm stuck with this preorder. Unfortunately, she's already been delayed for a month too, and I'm afraid it will keep happening.
In conclusion, I cannot speak to their non-preorder business, but I highly recommend that you never preorder from BigBadToyStore. It's just not worth the frustration and disappointment.
BBTS Pre-Order Frustration: Delayed Stock and Slow Shipping
I have been buying TBLeague / Phicen figures from various online hobby stores and eBay, but I have noticed that BigBadToyStore (bigbadtoystore.com) is always the last to receive their stock. Even after a month, they still have items on pre-order while other sellers have them in stock and ready to ship. It's frustrating because I want to get my hands on these figures as soon as possible.
For example, the TBLeague Queen of Vampires Narama Huntress of Men 1/6 Scale Figure is still in pre-order status on BBTS as of June 19, 2019. However, another online hobby store in California had this figure in stock and ready to ship on May 10, 2019. Even a few US sellers on eBay had this figure in stock as well. I ordered one and received it on May 15, 2019.
I have ordered a few figures that were already in stock from BBTS and chose their $4 flat rate shipping. It takes about 1.5 weeks to arrive from the order date, but it usually takes 3 or 4 business days from the day you order before they even ship out. I understand that it's the cheap flat rate, but the SLOW as molasses FEDEX Smartpost shipping was the method used.
In conclusion, I would suggest AVOIDING pre-orders from BBTS. Unless you want to be the last person on earth to receive the item, it's better to SKIP or NOT ORDER pre-orders. It's frustrating to see everyone else with the item while you're still waiting for it to arrive. Smh.
slow service!
I am so tired of waiting. I think I will leave a thousand negative reviews in order to finally get their response.
Eac process takes so long. I don't know if they are new in this business, at least they act that way. Slow processing, slow shipping, and delivery. All of these things take forever.
Horrible. It took 4 months to get my order. 4 months from the order placing to the delivery.
No way will I order from this website. It's awful.
I can't get money back
I bought Batman Dark Knight Toy from the website www.bigbadtoystore.com. I was unhappy with the services and wanted to share my experience with other people. I got the order and it turned out that the toy was broken. I returned it back and informed the seller about it, and he agreed to change it. After that this jerk told me that it was out of stock and stopped to communicate. I have no idea how to get money back. Maybe someone has any ideas how to return money back, please contact me then or leave a comment. Thanks.
