Poor Communication & No Follow-Up from AutoTRADER.ca After Payment - Beware!
AutoTRADER.ca ain't no good, don't bother with them after you done paid for an ad. They have poor communication skills and won't get back to you. I'm telling you, I been waiting over a whole week and not one peep from them. They do send an automated reply with a case number, but then it's crickets from there. No one bothers to follow up or contact you, what's the point of even having a case number then? And don't bother calling them either, nobody answers or some of the numbers don't even work, can't receive no incoming calls, nothing. SAVE YOURSELF THE HASSLE AND STAY AWAY FROM AUTOTRADER.CA.
Negative Review: Do NOT use AutoTRADER.ca for uploading your ad
AutoTRADER.ca is not a good website to use if you’re trying to upload your ad. I personally had a bad experience with the site, where I tried to upload my ad, and it said I was offline. I tried to reload it, and got the standard “please wait 30 minutes” message, which was infuriating. The site doesn’t have any customer service number to call, which is a major red flag. Instead, they just tell you to fill out a form and send them an email, which they never respond to. It seems like they don’t care about you or your car, they just want you to buy more crap for your online ad. In conclusion, do NOT use AutoTRADER.ca.
AutoTRADER.ca - Spinning Wheel of Death and Zero Customer Service
I ain't one to complain much, but I've been trying to get my car listed on autoTRADER.ca for a hot minute now and I just can't seem to get past this dang spinning wheel of death. Ain't that just the pits? I've tried everything from different browsers to different devices, but every time it's the same thing. And I ain't heard a peep from anyone over at autoTRADER about how to fix it. It's like they just don't care about their customers. Can't even get no one on the phone. What kind of outfit is this anyway? I ain't gonna lie, I'm pretty steamed about the whole thing. And I'm telling y'all, don't waste your time with these folks. They don't deserve your business. Trust me on this one. And just to be clear, I know my way around the interwebs. I used to build websites and I'm an engineer, so this ain't me being web-illiterate or nothing. It's just a bad system with even worse service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Autotrader.ca's Instant Cash Offer: A Rip-Off?
So, I was checking out autotrader.ca to see how much I could get for my car. I filled out the form but was disappointed with the small amount they offered me. I mean, come on, they offered me $1,700 for my car, and that too was just the base offer. And even adding options just brought the offer up to $3,000. I know my car's worth more than that, at least $7,000 or more.
And if you think you'll get your car for less than $10,000 from a dealership, good luck with that. They'll probably ask for more.
I have to say, it's a rip-off and I do feel bad for those who fall for it and accept the instant cash offer. They're real chumps.
Overall, I'd say autotrader.ca isn't worth the time if you want to sell your car for a decent price.
Stay Away from Autotrader.ca's Trade-In Value - Inaccurate and Sketchy
Yo, so I just wanna say that I used autotrader.ca for their trade in value option and it was a freaking nightmare. I gave them all the deets about my 2012 Ram 1500 sport, including that it had been in a small accident that cost me about $1800 to fix up the headlight and grill. But I didn't tell them exactly what was damaged, you know? Then they sent me some report saying that the truck had frame damage, which is like, what the hell man? I didn't even give them my VIN for them to know something like that.
Honestly, autotrader.ca is a total joke. I tried to contact them by phone and email to sort it out, but no one would even talk to me about it. It's so sketchy. Like, I don't even know where they're getting their info from, but it's definitely not accurate.
My advice is to stay far away from this site if you're looking to trade in your vehicle. They don't even bother to double check their info and it could end up costing you big time.
My Frustrating Experience with Autotrader.ca as a Car Seller
My experience with autotrader.ca has not been pleasant as of late. I have had difficulty posting ads due to the website's regulations regarding scams. While it is understandable that websites need to protect their users, the process of verifying ownership of a vehicle through pictures of myself in the car seems excessive and invasive. How does autotrader.ca even know what I look like? I could send them any pictures I want. I found it difficult to take the website seriously after this experience.
Furthermore, I have recently attempted to post an ad and renew an ad, only to be met with messages stating that I was not successful due to potential scams. server errors also came up, causing additional frustration.
In my opinion, this website is not worth the time or hassle. If you are looking to buy or sell a car, I suggest seeking other avenues. Autotrader.ca seems to be more of a scam than a helpful resource for car enthusiasts.
Disappointing Experience with autoTRADER.ca Customer Service - Unable to Update Ad
I tried posting an ad on autoTRADER.ca (autotrader.ca) around 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, when I tried to upload some photos and edit the information in my ad, I received an error message and it wouldn't save. I did everything I could to get in touch with their customer support team, but to no avail.
I submitted my requests six times through their website's system, but I never got any sort of response. It was really frustrating. I decided to take it a step higher and called the head office. Unfortunately, I wasn't given any help there either. They wouldn't even talk to me about the problem I was experiencing.
I kept trying to get a hold of someone, so in desperation, I called their service area that specifically deals with commercial clients. Unfortunately, they told me they wouldn't be able to help me either. What's more, they confirmed that they had received 6 support requests from me already.
I am still stuck with my unresolved issue, and now the window that I was counting on for selling my boat on autoTRADER.ca (autotrader.ca) during the long weekend has passed me by. I have been getting a bunch of requests for information about my boat, but I can't provide any answers at this point.
It's really upsetting to me that I've missed out on so many potential buyers because of this technical issue on their website. I am also disappointed that their customer service team has not been available to help me. The questions I am being asked are related to the information I would have put in the ad, but now I can't update my listing.
I really hope that autoTRADER.ca (autotrader.ca) can rectify this issue and improve their customer service. I had high hopes for their platform, but unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory.
Disappointing Experience Selling on autoTRADER.ca: Lack of Customer Service and Dealer Dominance
I don't know about you, but I was pretty pumped to sell my car on autoTRADER.ca. I mean, who doesn't love making a little extra cash on the side? So, I figured I'd splurge on their Basic package which promised a "Priority Listing" for my sweet ride. I shelled out $29.95 and eagerly waited for the offers to roll in.
Well, let me tell you, the wait wasn't exactly a short one. My car was initially published on page 5 of the site (which has 25 vehicles per page), but just two days later, it had plummeted down to page 7. I was not a happy camper.
I decided to use their Contact Us form to voice my concerns and see if they could do something about my listing's demotion. I waited for 2 days, but no response came. So, I decided to give it another go and sent them another message, this time requesting a refund. But again, no response.
What kind of company doesn't have a basic customer service process? There's no phone number to call, and if you happen to contact their head office, they'll just tell you that only dealers can reach them through that channel. Seriously?
To add salt to the wound, the site is fully consumed by dealers. The 'private seller' ad just doesn't seem to have the same appeal, almost looking like a scammer. It's almost like a warning to buyers to stay away.
Overall, I was pretty darn disappointed with the experience on autoTRADER.ca. I hope one day they'll update their customer service procedures and treat us private sellers with a bit more respect.
My Experience with Autotrader.ca: Good but Not Great
I recently had an experience with autotrader.ca that I wanted to share with my fellow car enthusiasts out there. I decided to sell my camper van and thought it would be a great idea to post it on autotrader.ca, which is a website that is known for helping people sell their cars quickly and easily. I opted to pay over $57 for extra display instead of the free version, thinking that would help me get more leads and sell my car faster.
To my surprise, the first two days went by without a single lead. I was getting worried and decided to also post the ad on Kijiji for free. Suddenly, a lot of inquiries started coming in from Kijiji which gave me some hope. I told one of the interested parties that they could see more pictures on autotrader.ca if they had any questions. However, they informed me that 'error 404' popped up whenever they clicked on my ad. I was quite disappointed but decided to contact autotrader.ca through an online form since they did not display any telephone number.
Unfortunately, it took autotrader.ca five whole days to get back to me. When they did, they informed me that the problem was fixed and instead of giving me a refund for the extra display fee, they would extend my time for ad posting. Although I was not happy with their response, I was really impressed with the number of views I was getting on Kijiji. In total, I received over 1400 views and 100 inquiries from Kijiji but only about 6 inquiries from autotrader.ca through their French site.
All in all, I would say that autotrader.ca was good but not great. While I believe that I did get a decent number of views and inquiries for my ad on their website, I was disappointed with the technical glitch on my ad and the fact that it took them so long to respond to my request for help. I would recommend trying out autotrader.ca but also posting your ad on other websites to increase your chances of getting more leads.
Disappointing User Experience on autoTRADER.ca - A Hassle to Sell My Car
So I decided to sell my car on autoTRADER.ca and it was not easy, to say the least. Firstly, their double-blind email system did not allow me to respond to my potential buyers because my personal domain uses a mail-forward. This meant that if they did not provide me with a phone number, I had no way of answering their inquiries. What a hassle!
To make matters worse, the customer support I received to address the above issue was unsuccessful on the first try and did not respond to any of my subsequent requests. So, I decided to try to find a workaround and alter my email address. But when I tried to save the changes, it said that the form was invalid, yet another bug in the system.
Eventually, I was left with no choice but to create a whole new profile and pay for my ad again. To add to my disappointment, I requested a refund for my first ad, but received silence in return. It seems like autoTRADER.ca did not care about my user experience at all.
Despite struggling with autoTRADER.ca, I will admit that I did not end up selling my car on their platform. Instead, my Kijiji ad seemed to work better for me. However, even after unsubscribing to all unsolicited emails, I still receive unwanted emails. And to make things worse, there is no way to unsubscribe.
I hope autoTRADER.ca improves their system and support to make selling a car a more pleasant experience, or else they may lose more potential users like myself.

Autotrader Review: User-friendly platform with diverse car options, but beware scams
autotrader is actually pretty good if you're looking for a car. you can search by make and model and they've got tons of options to choose from. i found the site kind of confusing at first but once i got the hang of it it was super easy to use. the only downside is there are some scammy listings on there so you need to be careful and make sure you properly vet the seller before making any deals. overall though i'd recommend checking out autotrader if you're in the market for a new or used car.
Subpar Customer Service from Autotrader.ca - Frustration and Delays in Selling My Car
autotrader.ca needs to step up their customer service game. I was trying to post my ad, but the site kept blocking it. I reached out to the autotrader team and they asked me to send some pictures. I did what they asked, but it's been four days now and I still haven't heard back from them. This is frustrating and unacceptable. I need to sell my car and autotrader.ca is making it harder for me. They don't deserve even one star.
Disappointing Experience Trying to Contact Sellers on autoTRADER.ca
Yo, I gotta say, I ain't too impressed with the way autoTRADER.ca operates. I tried reaching out to some sellers through their website, but it's like my messages went straight to the abyss or something. Ain't nobody ever got back to me about anything. What a bummer, right?
I mean, I had high hopes for autoTRADER.ca, but now I'm starting to think it ain't worth the hassle. And it's not like there aren't any other options out there. I've had more success checking out Facebook Market Place. At least there, I can see when folks have read my messages, and they actually respond sometimes.
So yeah, I'm pretty disappointed overall. I'll probably keep using other apps and websites for my car shopping needs. Maybe autoTRADER.ca will improve in the future, but for now, I ain't holding my breath.

autotrader.ca Review: Navigating Hundreds of Car Ads Made Easy with Maximum Price Filter
autotrader.ca is the go-to app if you're looking for a reliable ride. However, like any app, there are some things that could be improved. One issue that users might run into is sorting through hundreds of ads for brand spanking new cars when they're actually hunting for a used ride. It can feel tough to narrow down the search and filter out the selection. It could make you feel like you're wasting your time scrolling through, especially if you're looking for a budget-friendly car.
But don't give up hope just yet! autotrader.ca has a setting that should help - the maximum price filter. You can set this to your estimated budget, and it will only show you cars that fit within that range. It seems like a no-brainer - just set your maximum price and you're good to go, right? Unfortunately, it's still not a perfect solution.
When you search for used cars, the app still shows you all the new listings first. It's like searching for a needle in a haystack, since you'll have to scroll through several pages to find used cars that meet your search criteria. But, upon closer inspection of the app, all isn't lost. Once you've set the filters to find used cars, you can manually adjust the sorting order to show the oldest cars first. This will show you the list of used cars that fit your budget.
Overall, autotrader.ca is an easy-to-use app that's full of listings for cars and rvs. It's helpful to use when you're in the market for a vehicle. However, there are some hiccups that you might come across when using the app. The main one being that you might have to play around with the filters and sorting features before you can start viewing cars that match your needs. It takes a bit of patience to get started but it's worth it in the end!
Autotrader.ca's Ad Posting Frustration: Unreliable & Poor Customer Service
I gotta tell ya, Autotrader.ca isn't exactly delivering the goods. I've been trying to get my vehicle ad posted up on their site no less than three goddamn times now and, what do you know, it's still not up yet! Every time I get a reply telling me it'll be up in "a few hours", but 30 whole hours later, still no dice. It's pretty frustrating, especially given that it's crickets from their customer service when I try to get in touch. C'mon guys, get it together.
Disappointing Experience with autoTRADER.ca Sales Department: Insufficient Backup Plan
First off, let me just tell you guys that I had a pretty frustrating experience with autoTRADER.ca. As a dealer who was looking to post some ads, I found out that their whole sales department was away at a conference until January 12th, 2015. I mean, seriously? If you're gonna be away at a conference for that long, at least have a backup team in place to handle incoming requests.
I received an email from them telling me to call back on Monday, January 12th, if I wanted to post any ads. And honestly, I was completely taken aback. I understand that people go on vacation or attend conferences, but this seemed like a pretty basic operation that should have had some sort of backup plan in place.
Anyway, I wanted to share my experience with others so they know what to expect from this company. I can only hope that they've made some changes since my interaction with them.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend autoTRADER.ca, at least not until they can better handle situations like the one I experienced. It's frustrating enough being a dealer and dealing with customers, let alone having to deal with issues like this from a company you're working with.
