I got my coverage from the marketplace for a time when I didn't have coverage. But now, even after I cancelled it from both the marketplace and Ambetter's website, I still get bills auto-drafted from my account every month. I talked to reps on the phone many times, but still, the amount gets autodrafted. I am waiting on hold for my case to be "elevated" for an hour now, and this is my second call today. They auto-draft bills, but refunds are only issued by check, and only after you talk to them on the phone. It seems like a bad business practice.

My kid's been on Ambetter From Absolute Total Care for her whole life, and it's been fine until this year. They don't wanna pay for her prescription anymore, even though she's been on it since October and it's been working great. They want her to try two other things before they'll even think about covering her current meds. Kids ain't lab rats, man. They shouldn't be used as test subjects for some company. The drugs they will cover are both fancy name brands, while the one my daughter's on is just a generic. And one of the drugs they'll cover, my kid can't even take 'cause she can't swallow pills, but they don't care. This company should be shut down and investigated for taking kickbacks from drug companies, 'cause they only wanna cover two drugs, both of which are fancy name brands.

This health insurance ain't giving me no doctors in my hood. Every doc I call says they don't take this insurance. Me and my boy got Ambetter and we need to see some specialists. My son got cerebral palsy and needs a chiropractor for his tight muscles. I been searching for over 2 months and can't find no providers within a half hour drive. I done emailed and called for help but ain't nobody helping me out. They just give me names of doctors I already called or ones that are 2 hours away. Me and my boy got jobs and school, we can't be wasting our whole day going to see a doctor. They getting over $1,300 from me and the government every month, they need to provide the services they getting paid for. They can't just ignore my requests for help finding doctors in my area. It don't matter if it's subsidized, they still getting paid for nothing.

I just joined Ambetter and it's already a big mistake. I've been trying for two weeks to get my shot with the meds I need to keep my immune system in check. With the pandemic going on, it's a big concern for me. Envolve, who handles the pharmacy side of Ambetter, can't seem to confirm my coverage. I've tried everything - their website, their automated system, and even waited for more than 45 minutes to talk to a low-level employee who confirmed that payment has been made. I've also opened two "escalation" tickets, IXXXXXXXX and IXXXXXXXX, and talked to Natha, Rebecca, Mary Grace, Leslie, Michelle, and Isabelle. Today, I insisted on being put on hold until the "escalation team" could pick up. After an hour and 10 minutes, the original girl came back and said she had to free up the line but promised someone would get back to me. What am I supposed to do without my medication? As a breast cancer survivor, this medicine is crucial to regulating my immune system that was damaged by radiation. It needs to be administered consistently, but I'm already two weeks overdue. They have my premium, I'm stuck with them until open enrollment, and I can't afford to pay for my medication (it costs thousands of dollars).

This plan is a disaster. They outsourced their support to India and changed their phone number, website, and domain without telling anyone. I had to Google everything to find the new info. Even though I paid my balance in full, they denied all my medical claims. I call them every day, but no one answers. They won't even talk to my doctor's billing department. They keep promising to fix it, but they never do. I'm still paying out of pocket for everything. Their website is useless for finding in-network providers. They don't update it anymore and their solution is to mail you a packet of doctors that may or may not be accurate. This company is a sham and they don't care about their members. I paid in and I want my benefits.
