Don't Buy Anything From This Company
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY! I bought a complete mini split system they sell under the name Blue Ridge. They are complete junk! They are made by Midea from China and are actually an inferior version of Midea's usual units which are mediocre at best. I have owned and installed hundreds of Minisplit units mostly Fujitsu and Mitsubishi but supply was low on those units due to COVID and I thought I would take a chance with these. BIG MISTAKE. They never worked properly and when they did work at all they sounded like a freight train outside of my house. I had to sue them in CT Superior court to get my money back. They claimed, in official court filings, that I agreed to the sales contract (YOUR RECEIPT THEY MAKE YOU SIGN) in very small print that their goods are sold " AS IS"! They don't need to work! Can you imagine buying good for 10's of thousands of dollars of equipment from a company you know nothing about and they slip that into you sales receipt? They then claimed in official court documents that if you want to sue them you agreed in the sales contract(AGAIN YOUR RECEIPT) that you had to do do in the State of Illinois! Neither argument stood up in court and they lost, but then they agreed to settle for half of what I was owed. I agreed just because I was busy. I junked the equipment thinking we had settled and the time period to withdraw the settlement was over and then the withdrew the settlement which the judge through out and ordered them to pay they, are appealing that Decision. I think everyone should be aware of what a POS company this is. You can find the CT legal case by Googling State of CT JUD and search by party name. Their parent company is the Todd Arthurs Company INC, Todd Arthurs Company Inc DBA Alpine Home Air. AGAIN AVOID THESE UNITS NO MATTER HOW CHEAP THEY ARE. I would not be slightly surprised if the positive reviews are fake and paid for by them.
Recommendation: STAY AWAY!
Disappointing Experience with Alpine Home Air: Lack of Communication and Transparency on Order Status
I recently made a purchase on Alpine Home Air's website for two air conditioner filters. The website indicated that the filters were in stock, so I went ahead and placed my order. I received an email confirming that my order had been received, and I patiently waited for my filters to arrive. However, after three weeks had passed without any updates, I decided to reach out to customer service to inquire about the status of my order.
When I called, I provided my order number and was informed that my order had been received, but they were unsure of what had happened to it. I was then transferred to the products department, but unfortunately, no one answered the phone. Frustrated, I hung up and tried again the next day.
To my surprise, I received a call from the products department the following day. The representative informed me that the filters were actually out of stock and that they had no plans to restock them. When I asked what had happened, the representative simply replied, "I don't know. Someone dropped the ball. I'm just helping out by making this call." I was shocked and disappointed that no one seemed to have any answers or solutions for me.
Feeling frustrated and helpless, I requested a refund for my purchase. I asked if it could be processed sooner rather than later, as I had already been waiting for three weeks. The representative informed me that they would process the refund next week, but I couldn't help but feel annoyed that no one seemed to have any idea what was going on.
Overall, my experience with Alpine Home Air was disappointing. While I understand that COVID has caused delays and disruptions in many industries, I was frustrated by the lack of communication and transparency regarding my order. I hope that in the future, Alpine Home Air can improve their customer service and communication to avoid similar situations.
Disappointed with Alpine Home Air's Shipping Costs
I gotta say, I'm not too thrilled about the shipping costs over at Alpine Home Air. I was browsing around their website and found a part that I needed for my HVAC system. When I added it to my cart, the shipping cost was only about $10, which seemed reasonable enough. But then I thought, hey, why not order a few more just to have some spares on hand? So I added three more to my cart, bringing the total to four.
But then, to my surprise, the shipping cost jumped up to a whopping $40! I mean, come on, it's not like these parts are huge or anything. It doesn't make sense that shipping would cost so much more just because I ordered a few extra. So I decided to scale back my order to just two parts, which is all I really needed anyway.
But even then, the shipping cost was still pretty steep at $20. And to make matters worse, when I went to check out, the shipping cost mysteriously went up to $30! What gives? It feels like they're intentionally trying to gouge me on shipping costs.
Honestly, I'm pretty ticked off about the whole thing. I don't appreciate feeling like I'm being taken advantage of. I'll definitely be looking elsewhere for my HVAC needs in the future.
Poor Warranty Service and Hidden Costs from Alpine Home Air
I gotta say, I'm not too impressed with Alpine Home Air. We had a warranty claim and they made us jump through all sorts of hoops just to get it taken care of. First off, they wanted us to ship the broken part back to them at our own expense - that's $200 right there. And then, once they finally got around to sending us a replacement, they wanted us to pay another $300 just to get it shipped to us. That's a total of $500 just to get a part that's supposed to be covered under warranty. And don't even get me started on the fact that they don't cover any labor costs - we had to pay for that out of pocket too!
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying from Alpine Home Air. They've got a whole bunch of complaints on the Better Business Bureau website - 22 of 'em, to be exact - and we're about to add another one to the pile. It's just ridiculous that they wouldn't let our contractor pick up the replacement part from a nearby warehouse. Come on, Alpine Home - get it together!
Impressive Heat BTU Estimating Tool and Great Customer Service: My Review of Alpine Home Air
I gotta say, Alpine Home Air is the real deal! Their heat BTU estimating tool is the best one out there, hands down. It's the ONLY one I found that takes into account the number of floors, level of insulation, if there's a basement, and indoor temperature. I mean, come on, that's pretty impressive! If they could add outside temperature or change the number to outside to inside temperature difference, that would be even better.
And let's talk about pricing. It's good, plain and simple. They don't try to rip you off like some other companies out there. Plus, they have all the PDFs for manuals, which is super helpful. I also appreciate seeing all the options for the furnace I ordered. It's nice to have choices, you know?
But what really sets Alpine Home Air apart is their customer service. They let you know that someone will contact you with technical assistance if you need it. That's a huge relief, especially if you're not super handy with this kind of stuff. And I gotta say, I really appreciate the liftgate and flat return fee option. It makes pushing the submit button a bit easier, just in case I realize or find later that I ordered the wrong unit.
Overall, I'm really impressed with Alpine Home Air. They seem like a company that cares about their customers and wants to make sure they're happy. I'm presuming their customer support is as good as everything else, but I haven't had to use it yet. Keep up the good work, Alpine Home Air!
Alpine Home Air Review: Helpful Quote, Great Equipment, But No Military Discount or Free Shipping
The quote I got from Alpine Home Air was really helpful in figuring out what I needed for my equipment. We bought our equipment from them on eBay in the spring and just bought some line sets and wires today. The shipping cost was pretty high, which was a bummer. I was hoping for free shipping since we spent almost a thousand dollars before tax on our 5 zone system here.
One thing that I noticed is that Alpine Home Air doesn't offer any military or veteran discounts. This is a bit disappointing for me since my husband is a disabled veteran, and I have a brother, 2 uncles, and 2 nephews who are veterans as well. I really appreciate businesses that offer a small thank you to our military active duty and veterans. After all, freedom is a priceless privilege that we enjoy at the cost of many good men and women.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with my experience with Alpine Home Air. The quote was really helpful, and the equipment we got from them has been working great so far. I just wish they offered some kind of discount for veterans or free shipping for larger purchases.
Impressive Quality and Customer Service from Alpine Home Air
I gotta say, I've been using Alpine Home Air for a while now and I'm pretty impressed. I've installed about 10 of these units over the last few years and they've been nothing but wonderful! The customer service is super helpful and easy to work with. They're always able to help me out with any problems or questions I have.
The product itself is really well built and easy to install. I definitely recommend having a professional like myself install these bad boys though. You gotta use a vacuum pump, micrometer, and torque wrench to make sure the warranty stays valid. And trust me, you don't wanna mess with that warranty!
One thing I've learned is that it's always best to cut and flare all the piping yourself. I've tried using the factory flares before and they always end up leaking. It's a quick task and it saves so much time in the long run when you're trying to track down a leak.
But let's talk about the price and quality of these units. You really can't beat it! They're affordable and the quality is top-notch. Thank you, Alpine, for providing such a wonderful product. I'll definitely be using you guys again in the future!
Poor Customer Service and Product Damage: My Experience with Alpine Home Air
I recently made a purchase on Alpine Home Air's website for a Goodman furnace that cost me $950. When the product arrived at my doorstep, I was excited to install it and get it up and running. However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that there was severe concealed damage on one of the sides. I was disappointed and frustrated, as I wasn't sure if the damage was caused during the shipping process or if it was a factory defect.
I immediately contacted Alpine Home Air to report the issue and seek a solution. They advised me to file a complaint with the carrier, but when I did, the carrier told me that Alpine Home Air should file the claim. I was caught in a frustrating cycle of being bounced back and forth between the two companies, with no resolution in sight.
To make matters worse, Alpine Home Air repeatedly told me that I was at fault for the product damage, even though I received the product in a broken state and didn't even sign the shipper acceptance guide. I was at my wit's end and didn't know what to do.
Finally, I decided to file a claim through Paypal, and only then did Alpine Home Air agree to initiate a return and refund. However, I lost two weeks of my time without a working furnace, which was a huge inconvenience for me and my family.
Overall, I would not recommend Alpine Home Air to anyone. Their customer service was lacking, and the entire experience was frustrating and time-consuming. I hope that they can improve their processes and provide better support to their customers in the future.
Unpleasant Experience with Alpine Home Air: Keep a Paper Trail and a Strong Credit Card
I recently had an experience with Alpine Home Air and I must say, it was not a pleasant one. If you plan on doing business with this company, I highly recommend keeping a paper trail and having a credit card that will fight for you.
Initially, they provided me with a list of contractors who were supposed to do the work, but none of them wanted to because it wasn't their product. I called them back and they sent me another list, but it was the same exact list they had sent before. After calling them a third time, the list came back empty.
I decided to call the warehouse to stop the product from coming to my house, but now they want me to pay the shipment fee. That's not happening. They promised to send me a contractor, but it never happened. They also claimed that my product had reached my home and if I opened it, I would be responsible for it. However, it never even reached my home and their contractor was just a list they got off the internet.
I'm still fighting this issue and I refuse to be responsible for any shipment costs. Overall, my experience with Alpine Home Air was frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend doing business with them unless you're prepared to deal with these types of issues.
BTU's: Overhyped and Underperforming - A Disappointing Experience
BTU's are a bunch of baloney! Don't believe the hype! The outside unit ain't rated for the total BTU's of the 4 zones. And let me tell you, the installation book is a joke. It's got at least 5 mistakes in it. And when I called for help, the guy on the phone was a real jerk. He talked down to me and told me to ignore the book. Can you believe that? And to top it off, the heat never works for more than an hour. The unit gets covered in ice because the defrost mode is busted. I tried to get it fixed by two different companies, but no dice. And don't even get me started on the remote controls. They only work half the time, and I have to press the button three times just to turn it on or off. And guess what? Nothing is ever their fault. It's always the installation. But I've had two different companies work on it four times in two years, and it still doesn't cool very well. My home has R38 insulation in the walls and roof, which is way more than most homes, but it still can't keep up. The only good thing about this unit is the price. It was super cheap (made in China), and it's also really quiet. But that's about it. I didn't submit any photos or proof of sale because I wasn't ready, and I couldn't figure out how to attach the email from them to this site. But I might need parts, so I'll have to figure that out later. I was actually looking for a good unit to buy when I saw their ad and left this review. Maybe I'll find one eventually.
Mixed Experience with Alpine Home Air: Good Sales, Poor Technical Support and Warranty Policy
I recently purchased a new furnace for my rental property from Alpine Home Air. The woman I spoke with was very thorough and asked me a lot of good questions to make sure she understood my needs. However, I found her to be unhelpful because I didn't understand all of the technical jargon she was using. I called back and gave her more information about my existing system and wiring, and she was able to recommend a unit that would work for me. The furnace arrived quickly and I was able to install it in less than four hours.
Unfortunately, when I tried to turn it on, it didn't work. After reading the instructions, I realized that the unit she sold me didn't match my wiring. I called technical support on Monday and they told me I needed an adaptor for the wiring. I was frustrated that the salesperson had sold me the wrong unit, but the technical support team didn't seem to care. They sent me back to sales, but the guy I spoke with knew nothing about the part I needed and asked me for a part number. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who promised to look into it. A day later, I received a voicemail saying that the part was available from the manufacturer and that I would have to pay for it. They said it would take a couple of weeks to arrive.
Meanwhile, the temperatures in Oregon were dropping to 25 degrees at night. I couldn't wait that long, so I went online and found the part I needed for just $20. It was readily available from multiple suppliers, so I had it delivered the next day.
One thing that really bothered me was that Alpine Home Air won't warranty anything that doesn't work unless you pay a licensed contractor to evaluate and confirm the problem. I understand that they want to make sure that the problem isn't caused by something the customer did, but it seems like an unnecessary expense.
Overall, I was satisfied with the furnace I purchased from Alpine Home Air, but I was disappointed with the customer service I received when I had a problem. I would recommend them to others, but with the caveat that they should be prepared to deal with some frustration if something goes wrong.
Alpine Home Air Complaints 10
Disappointing Experience with Alpine Home Air: Only 2 out of 9 Units Functioning
I recently purchased 9 units from Alpine Home Air and unfortunately, only 2 of them are currently functioning. Each unit has a unique error code and despite my attempts to fix them, I have been unsuccessful. I have reached out to customer service multiple times and they have suggested that I hire a professional to fix them. Even with the help of an AC company, we were unable to resolve the issues. The units seem to work for a short period of time before breaking down again. I live in Las Vegas and it appears that these units are not suitable for this climate. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company or their products.
Review of Alpine Home Air: Helpful Resources, but Disappointing Customer Service Follow-Through
I recently gave Alpine Home Air a call to inquire about the size of compressor I needed for my home. I found their sizing selector to be a helpful guide, but I had a specific concern about my lines being 65 feet long and wanted to confirm the appropriate compressor size for my situation.
When I spoke with a tech rep, I unfortunately didn't catch his name. He was unable to answer my question at the time, but assured me that I would receive an email and phone call with the information I needed. However, I was disappointed to find that neither of these follow-ups actually happened, despite my phone number and email being confirmed during the call.
Overall, I appreciate the effort that Alpine Home Air puts into providing helpful resources for their customers, but I was disappointed with the lack of follow-through on their promise to get back to me with the information I needed. I hope that in the future, they will be able to provide more consistent and reliable customer service.
Mixed Experience with Alpine Home Air: Great Receptionists, Frustrating Phone System
I gotta say, the software for purchasing from Alpine Home Air is just okay. It can be a bit of a hassle to navigate, but it gets the job done. However, the receptionists are top-notch! They're always friendly and helpful, which is a breath of fresh air in today's world.
Now, here's where things get a little frustrating. Once you're put on hold, it can take a loooong time to get a product specialist on the line. I mean, come on, Alpine Home Air! Do you want people to buy from you or not? It's almost like they want you to give up and go somewhere else.
I actually gave up after waiting for over 30 minutes. That's just not acceptable. Luckily, I knew exactly what I needed and was able to order it online. But still, it's not a great experience.
All in all, Alpine Home Air has some great products, but their phone system needs some serious work. If they can improve that, they'll be a top-notch company.

Alpine Home Air Review: Order Processing Needs Improvement, Long Wait Times
I had a bit of trouble getting in touch with Alpine Home Air. The wait times on the phone were pretty long, and their call back system didn't seem to be working. When I finally did get through, I found that the order processing system could use some improvement. For example, there wasn't enough space to include two different "ship to" names, like a business name and an attention line. I also had to make some changes to my order, and when I received the email confirmation, it looked like some items were duplicated or even tripled. I'm guessing that these items were still in the system from previous orders that I had deleted.
Despite these issues, I'm still hopeful that my order will arrive soon and that everything will be in good condition. I want to give a shoutout to Frank, who was able to answer some of my questions and provide some assistance. I'll update my review once I receive my items and have a chance to evaluate them.
Alpine Home Air Review: Poor Customer Service and High Return Fees
I wouldn't recommend using Alpine Home Air (alpinehomeair.com) for your HVAC needs. It's better to shop locally or with a business that values customer service over making a quick buck.
My experience with Alpine Home Air was not a pleasant one. I had to return a product that was misadvertised and misrepresented. To my surprise, they charged me $200 for return shipping, which was almost one-third of the product's cost. I was also forced to use R&L carriers, which turned out to be a terrible experience. The shippers were incompetent and looked like they were on meth. They had only two teeth in their mouth, which made me question their ability to handle my package with care.
I understand that businesses need to make a profit, but not at the cost of customer satisfaction. Alpine Home Air seems to be more interested in scraping up every dime than providing quality service to their customers. I would advise you to avoid them and shop locally or with a business that values your patronage.
Alpine Home Air Review: Poor Quality Flares and Inaccurate Pressure Specs Cause Frustration for Customers
Alpine Home Air is a company that sells line sets that are pre-flared. However, the flares are terrible and not up to par. The pressure specs in the manual are inaccurate, which can cause problems when trying to check the pressure. The manual says to check with nitrogen to 250, but after the heating mode blows, the pressure needs to be checked to 500 psi. This is a big problem and can cause a lot of frustration for customers.
Another issue with Alpine Home Air is that there are missing codes in the code key in the manual. This is a big problem because it can cause confusion and make it difficult to troubleshoot problems. This is not acceptable and needs to be addressed by the company.
Overall, Alpine Home Air needs to be held accountable for their poor quality products and lack of attention to detail. Customers should not have to deal with these issues and should be able to trust that the products they purchase are of high quality and accurate. If you are considering purchasing from Alpine Home Air, be aware of these issues and proceed with caution.
Unreliable Blue Ridge Mini Split from Alpine Home Air: A Frustrating Experience
Bought a mini split from Alpine Home Air, but had some issues with it. The fan motor stopped working right away, so I had to replace the whole head unit. They didn't cover the recharge, which was a bummer. Now, less than a year later, it's leaking and I've had to call in other HVAC companies to try and find the problem. It's been a real headache, especially since it's just outside of warranty. I wouldn't recommend buying the Blue Ridge products from Alpine Home Air. It seems like they're just relabeled and not very reliable. If you're looking for a better experience, I suggest spending a little more and going with a local company that has higher quality products and better warranties.
Disappointing Experience with Alpine Home Air: Backordered AC Unit and Poor Customer Service
I recently had an experience with Alpine Home Air that left me feeling quite frustrated. I decided to order an air conditioner over the phone on March 15th, and was told that it would be delivered within five business days. I was charged over $3,000 on my credit card, and eagerly awaited the arrival of my new unit.
However, on Friday the 19th, I decided to call and get an update on the shipping status. To my dismay, I was informed that the unit was backordered and would not arrive until sometime in May! I couldn't believe it - why hadn't they told me this when I placed my order? The customer service representative I spoke with admitted that they should have informed me of the backorder at the time of purchase.
Now, I'm left waiting for a refund and feeling extremely frustrated. I live in Florida, and going without air conditioning for two months is simply not an option. I'm disappointed in the poor customer service I received from Alpine Home Air, and would caution others to be wary of ordering from them.
Mixed Experience with Alpine Home Air: Glitchy Website but Great Customer Service
I gotta say, I really dig Alpine Home Air! But, I gotta be real with y'all, I ran into a bit of a snag when I was trying to check out on the site. There was some kinda glitch or somethin' that kept me from completing my order. I was tryin' to snag an AC unit that was recommended for me, but it turns out there were some issues with my order that I wasn't made aware of. I needed a unit that was good for California, and it turns out I needed the 071 instead of the 061. But, when I went to buy the 071, it wasn't on the list of recommended units that I could purchase. So, needless to say, I was pretty darn frustrated. Don't get me wrong, I still think Alpine Home Air is the bee's knees, but next time I think I'll just talk to one of their helpful folks instead of tryin' to navigate the website. Unless they fix that glitch, of course!
Confused about shipping charges for additional items on Alpine Home Air website order
So, I was browsing the Alpine Home Air website and decided to purchase some 20 x 20 4" filters. As I was checking out, a message popped up saying that I could add additional items with no extra shipping charges. I thought, "Great! I need some 16 x 20 4" filters too!" However, when I added the additional filters to my order, the shipping cost doubled. I'm not sure if the message only applies to equipment purchases, but I was a bit confused as to why the cost wouldn't cover shipping for two boxes. I mean, $47.64 seems like it should be enough to cover the expenses needed to ship two boxes, especially since the popup filters indicated cheaper shipping prices. Can someone please clarify why I'm paying the same cost as if I only ordered the standard filters that come in a 4" thick box? I would really appreciate some feedback on this. Thanks!
