AllMusic AllMusic: The Ultimate Resource for Music Lovers

AllMusic is a fantastic website for music lovers! The reviews are really well-written and give a lot of detail about the music being discussed. I especially love the links to similar music styles because they've introduced me to so many new artists that I might not have found otherwise.

I do think that the site has become a bit more complicated to navigate over the years, but it's still worth it to me because I trust the reviews and recommendations. I often use AllMusic to figure out which albums are a band's best, and which ones I might want to skip.

Overall, I think AllMusic is the best review site out there for music. It's a great resource for anyone who loves music and wants to discover new artists and albums.

AllMusic AllMusic Review: A Once-Great Site Now Full of Ads and Altered Reviews

AllMusic (allmusic.com) used to be a great website. It was easy to use, and the reviews were honest and professional. However, things have changed. The website is now full of ads, and some of them are dangerous. For example, there was a pop-up that launched a fake alarm and froze Firefox. What the heck?

To make matters worse, the site is now full of altered versions of older reviews. This means that the truth has been replaced with marketing hype. It's a shame, really. Stephen Thomas Erlewine used to be a beautiful man, but now he's just another marketer.

Despite these issues, AllMusic is still a useful resource for music lovers. You can still find reviews of albums and artists, and there are still some honest reviews out there. However, you have to be careful and take everything with a grain of salt.

Overall, AllMusic is still worth checking out if you're a music fan. Just be aware of the ads and the altered reviews. And Stephen Thomas Erlewine, if you're reading this, please go back to being beautiful.

AllMusic AllMusic: The Ultimate Music Resource for Accurate and Detailed Information

AllMusic is a website that I always turn to when I need to find information about music. It's been around for a long time and is well-known in my country, even though it's not from here. There are other websites that try to copy it, but they can't compare. AllMusic is the best.

As a professional reviewer, I need to have access to accurate and detailed information about albums and artists. AllMusic is the only website that I trust to give me what I need. The album reviews are always on point, and the artist profiles are comprehensive and informative. Of course, there are sometimes small errors, but that's to be expected. Nobody's perfect.

One thing that does concern me, though, is that AllMusic seems to have a bias towards American music. They don't always cover European artists, especially those who don't sing in English. I think that's a shame, because there are so many great musicians out there who deserve to be recognized. For example, I was disappointed to see that there was no entry for the Polish band Breakout. They were a really important part of the music scene in their country, and I think they deserve to be acknowledged on AllMusic.

Overall, though, I think that AllMusic is an amazing resource for anyone who loves music. It's easy to use, and the information is always reliable. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about their favorite artists or discover new ones.

AllMusic AllMusic Review: Valuable Information, Frustrating User Experience

AllMusic is a website that has a lot of valuable information about music. However, it can be a real pain in the butt to use. The servers are very slow and the site crashes frequently. It's frustrating when you're trying to find information about a particular artist or album and the site won't load.

One thing that really annoys me about AllMusic is their "roll over" ads. These ads pop up when you drag your mouse over a certain area of the screen, and they can be really distracting. It's hard to focus on the information you're trying to read when there are ads popping up all over the place.

Another issue with AllMusic is that there is a lot of music that isn't available on the site. You can often find more information about a particular artist or album on other websites. This is especially frustrating when you're trying to research a more obscure artist or genre.

Overall, I think AllMusic used to be a lot better than it is today. It seems like they've gone commercial and are more focused on making money than providing a good user experience. It's a shame, because there used to be a lot of great information on the site.

If you're looking for information about music, I would recommend checking out other websites before resorting to AllMusic. There are plenty of other resources out there that are easier to use and have more comprehensive information.

AllMusic AllMusic Review: A Comprehensive Music Database with Some Flaws

AllMusic is a website that provides a vast collection of music reviews, biographies, and discographies. It's free to use, but it's not without its flaws. The ads can be a bit annoying, and they pop up every time you refresh the screen. It can be frustrating to navigate through the site when you have to wait for the ads to load.

The reviews on AllMusic are written by a mix of professional critics and fanboys. Some of the reviews are well-written and informative, while others go on and on and on. The resident lead critic, Stephen Thomas Erlewine, is a professional and his reviews are worth reading. However, some of the other reviewers can be a bit biased and give high ratings to albums that don't deserve them.

One issue with AllMusic is that the release information is not always accurate. They often use the rerelease as the master, which can be confusing for people who are looking for the original release. If you're looking for accurate release information, Discogs is a better site to use.

Despite its flaws, AllMusic is still a good source for a quick guideline to music. It's a great place to discover new artists and albums, and the site has a vast collection of music biographies and discographies. If you're looking for a quick overview of an album or artist, AllMusic is a good place to start. Just be prepared to navigate through the ads and biased reviews.

AllMusic Discover New Music with AllMusic: A Review of the Best Music Website on the Internet

AllMusic (allmusic.com) is the best place on the internet to spend hours browsing about music. It's got a lot of cool features that make it stand out from other music websites. One of the best features is the "influenced / influenced by" and "similar acts" sections. These sections allow you to discover new artists in the genre by starting with a single source. It's almost like a ripple effect that takes you on a journey to find new music. It's also fun to disagree with whether the acts mentioned really are that similar.

However, AllMusic is weak in some areas when it comes to coverage. For example, world music has better sites to explore. But for an all-round music overview with some nifty features, and great "starter portraits" of thousands of bands, it's hard to beat.

All in all, AllMusic is a great website for music lovers. It's easy to use and has a lot of information about different artists and genres. The website is also visually appealing, making it a pleasure to browse. If you're looking for a new artist to listen to or just want to learn more about your favorite band, AllMusic is the place to go.

AllMusic AllMusic Review: The Ultimate Music Resource for Discovering New Artists and Organizing Your Library

AllMusic (allmusic.com) is the most comprehensive site out there, hands down. It's essential for tagging, release dates and versions, album art, and so much more. I find it more usable than discogs, which can be overwhelming at times. What I really like about AllMusic is the genres & influences section, which is super helpful when you're trying to discover new music. The music focused bios are also a great feature, as they provide a lot of context and background information about the artists. And the ability to traverse from one artist to another in multiple places (hyperlinks in biographies, member names, influences) is a game changer. It's so easy to get lost in the rabbit hole of music history on this site.

I do have to say that AllMusic is not as extensive ex-US unless acts make it to at least medium sized international labels. But that's to be expected, I suppose. And while I wouldn't use it to listen to clips, I do appreciate that they have that feature. I use streaming sites to actually listen to things, but it's nice to have the option.

Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: the horrible pop up ads and commercialization. Yes, they're annoying. But honestly, I don't know how AllMusic could stay free otherwise. It's a small price to pay for such a valuable resource. And let's be real, we're all used to dealing with ads on the internet by now.

Overall, I highly recommend AllMusic to anyone who loves music. It's an invaluable tool for discovering new artists, learning about music history, and keeping your music library organized. Sure, it has its flaws, but what website doesn't? All in all, it's a must-have for any music lover.

AllMusic AllMusic: Great Reviews, But Ads Ruin User Experience in 2020

I used to go to AllMusic a lot back in the day, from 2003 to 2010. It was a great place to find out about new music and read reviews. The site was easy to use, and it had a lot of information. But now, in 2020, the site is a mess. There are ads all over the place, and they cover almost half of the screen. There's a big banner at the top, another one at the bottom, and ads that pop up on the right side of the screen. It's really annoying, and it makes it hard to use the site. I know that ads are important, but this is just too much. It's a shame, because the site still has good reviews and music criticism. But it's hard to enjoy them when you're constantly being bombarded with ads. I wish they would go back to the way things were before.

AllMusic Allmusic: A Shadow of Its Former Self - A Disappointing Decline in Quality and User Experience

As someone who is a big fan of music and also a musician, I have been reading record reviews for as long as I can remember. I know what makes a good music critic and what doesn't. That's why I've been following Allmusic since it first came on the web in 1995. I even have one of their pre-internet reference books. Back then, they were really good. However, over the course of the 2000s, it seems like a bunch of bad decisions must have been made, because the quality of the reviews has gone way, way down.

What's worse is that I've actually witnessed several instances of reviews changing for the very same album, to a much less qualified and informed review. It's almost like they don't care about the quality of their content anymore. And to make matters worse, the website itself has gone from being fast, simple, and user-friendly to very sluggish and annoying. It's almost like they're trying to drive people away.

As a result, I now avoid Allmusic altogether and go to sites like discogs.com and wikipedia for information. They may not be perfect, but at least they're reliable and consistent. Allmusic used to be a great resource for music fans, but now it's just a shadow of its former self. It's a shame, really.

AllMusic Allmusic.com: A Reliable Resource for Music Lovers

I still be using allmusic.com, ya know? I ain't sure if anyone else be using it, but it be my go-to when I wanna make sure I got every single album by my favorite bands. Ain't nothin' worse than thinkin' you got 'em all and then findin' out you missed one. Plus, when I'm feelin' like organizin' my music, Allmusic be a great guide for genres and styles.

Sometimes I'll read the little blurbs about artists too, but I gotta admit, I get distracted by all the other band names they be highlightin' in the text. I mean, come on, I just wanna read about this one artist, why I gotta click on "read more" to get the full scoop? It don't make no sense to me.

Allmusic also got a section where they recommend similar artists, influences, and followers. It's cool and all, but it ain't really necessary in this day and age. We got last.fm, pandora, and grooveshark that let us listen to those similar artists right then and there. So, while it's nice to have, it ain't really a game-changer.

Overall, Allmusic be a solid resource for any music lover. It may not be the fanciest or most high-tech, but it gets the job done. And ain't that all that really matters?

AllMusic AllMusic: From Gem to Disappointment - A Review

AllMusic used to be a real gem for finding out about your favorite bands and artists. They had tons of info, like who played what instrument and who produced the album. But now, it's not so great. The site is covered in ads that pop up all over the place, which is super annoying. And the info they do have is pretty basic. I mean, you could just go to Wikipedia and get the same stuff. It's a shame, really. AllMusic used to be so good.

AllMusic AllMusic.com: A Comprehensive Resource for Music Lovers Despite Some Hiccups

So, I went to check out AllMusic.com, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a bumpy ride. As soon as I opened the site, I was hit with a pop-up warning that my computer was infected and that it was a warning from Microsoft. Now, I know that AllMusic isn't responsible for that ad, but it still made me a bit uneasy. I tried to close my browser, but it wouldn't budge. I had to reboot my computer just to get rid of it.

Despite that little hiccup, I decided to give AllMusic a fair chance. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of information available on the site. They have a huge database of artists, albums, and songs, and you can find just about anything you're looking for. I was able to find some of my favorite bands and read up on their history, discography, and even some reviews.

One thing I did notice, though, was that the site could be a bit overwhelming at times. There's just so much information to sift through, and it can be hard to know where to start. But if you take your time and explore a bit, you'll find some real gems.

Overall, I think AllMusic is a great resource for music lovers. Sure, there may be some sketchy ads on the site, but that's unfortunately just par for the course these days. As long as you're careful and don't click on anything suspicious, you should be fine. And with all the information available on AllMusic, you're sure to find something new and exciting to listen to.
