AdvisoryCloud I know this review is going to go against the grain

I know this review is going to go against the grain. Maybe this company was bought out and the have a new management team. Or I just worked with someone new who has a better idea. I don't know but the experience I had in getting a refund was exceptional. Also, I am NOT BEING PAID to leave this review this was an actual "I was not happy" when I called. I hade been charged $295.00 on my debit card (note to self NEVER put your CC information in a form until you are sure this is what you want to buy). I didn't even hit the purchase button. Immediately when I saw the charge and stated getting "confirmation" emails I was livid. I called and Erika called me back. Great voice, great composure, quickly understood my situation. Provided me with a verbal commitment for a refund followed than up canceling my trial period and set me said documentation. Great experience! If you have an issue FIND

The companies / startups listed are all defunct, have been there for 7/8+ years in many cases and there's very little info about these companies on the web e.g. capital raise, credibility of founders, list of their customers. I think in many cases these companies are nothing more than websites with the founders graveyard of entrepreneurial imagination behind it and nothing more than that.I hope these sites were not just built out by AdvisoryCloud themselves. Look point is... this business model exists bcos some wanna be founders have set up a website and think advisor can help so they got in touch with Advisory Cloud for their service. On the other hand there are people trying to build their brand as advisors on LinkedIn and this is their easy route to do so. Anything that comes easy should be questioned.Ask two questions and THINK! - Why would they charge you $95 just to even view their list of companies? Why cant you still retain advisory position in the companies after you have cancelled your advisory cloud membership?I feel bad for their customer service people who have to take the heat on this but had complied with my demands for cancellation and refund.

My startup required very talented, experienced advisors from a variety of professions. Advisory Cloud (AC) introduced me to seasoned veterans in high tech, business, finance , and the military. I would recommend AC to any startup seeking invaluable support and direction to ensure its success.*** Founder

Big waste of money ($900). The site does not show my current and former positions on the public profile. It uses a title from 5 years ago on my public profile. I spent a lot of time responding to the board questions only to have them disappear. Most of the boards are just looking for help to raise funds ...

Mostly out of curiosity, I completed the first few steps of their application process before discovering that they were charging money for their "service", and which point I moved on. But unfortunately, I had already given then my email address and mobile phone number. The very next morning, not only did I get a marketing phone call from the company itself, but I started getting a discernably new flavor of phishing and spam emails along with similar text messages (at all hours) from a variety of dubious "businesses". Coincidence? I think not... These guys are bad news. Don't unwittingly feed the beast like I did.

AdvisoryCloud This is all to lure you into a registration with a purpose to have your one time fee of at least USD58

This is all to lure you into a registration with a purpose to have your one time fee of at least USD58. Their terms of service say you have to pay if there is less than 15 days to the date of next payment. Whereas the free trial is 14 days - that trick is not disclosed in advance and you cannot make your mind over it. The company does not serve for any purpose of earning by advisors which info becomes known only AFTER registration and after them getting your card details. By registering you oblige yourself to pay and cannot opt out from a 'service' which suddenly tells you that your clients do not pay! Yes, they state it explicitly after registration. They literally say that companies where the advisors serve on the board - do not pay to advisors! You are not going to find any client here unless you are going to work for free. That is, of course, you choice, however, you have to have a chance to make up your mind.

I run a small software development company and believe there would be value in the platform by looking for potential advisory board opportunities. The platform requires a good deal of commitment to actually see some value. That is ok, as long as you have a couple hours a week to work on connecting with potential boards. My biggest concern is their billing practices, they are predatory and will automatically renew your subscription without emails, notice. Even after you had explicitly stated you wanted your account paused. The cancellation process requires you to jump through hoops and it is simply put shady.Be very cautious, of this company. I do not recommend to use this platform.

I should have definitely done my homework on this one. AdvisoryCloud is a waste of money, I would not recommend at all. Hard to cancel and you will never get someone on the phone to address your concerns. This is really not a professional organization that produces the results they promise.

AdvisoryCloud This company seemed a little shady at first

This company seemed a little shady at first. But I have advised for other digital consultant agencies before with success so I figured I would give them a try. The sales rep missed our scheduled call and was unapologetic. I spent 15 minutes with the sales rep, after hearing what sounds like a good platform he explained there cost. To be fair, if what they are saying is true 1,000 is not a lager annual cost. However, when I pressed for any marketing data, what companies, how many, what industries, etc...the rep began top talk over me with a precrafted pressure sales close. Then again tried to deflect. I told him I'd be glad to sign up once I saw some marketing data. He said I'd never see it. Bottom line, seems like a scam or a start up over inflating their current value. The platform idea is solid but they currently offer nothing LinkedIn doesn't offer with metrics to back their claims. Sales rep was obviously agitated.

I just had a wonderful experience with the Customer Service department of Advisory Cloud. Specifically, *** and her colleagues were extremely professional and also helpful in accommodating my special circumstances. I appreciate that very much. I do look forward to finding connections with executives from a variety of companies to which Advisory Cloud exposes its clients. I can only say THANK YOU.

I read an ad for AdvisoryCloud and called. I signed up. Almost immediately, I figured out that AdvisoryCloud was not what it purported to be; there was not much there. I canceled my "membership." Months later, I noticed a charge on my AMEX card. I called AdvisoryCloud to tell them that they had charged me in error. They stated that I had not been charged in error as I had never canceled the subscription. As I had canceled the subscription, and AdvisoryCloud denied that I had done so, I disputed the charge with AMEX, which immediately credited me with the amount of the debit put through by Advisory Cloud. AMEX reached out to AdvisoryCloud -- who denied that I had canceled. The charge was reapplied to my account. I have placed the longest block (4 years) that AMEX can place on my account. I hope that AdvisoryCloud ceases to try to continue to charge me for a "service" that I canceled. My concern is that a company that has demonstrated its particular, problematic take on business ethics will try to charge me again using a different merchant number.

I signed up for quarterly payments, and did not realize that their policy is that you must cancel 15 days prior to the payment. Which is complete highway robbery. No one tracks those things that closely. I saw the charge on my card and immediately submitted a request to cancel, since I got ZERO value from the first 3 months. I did not use any of their services during the second 3 months, but they are denying my refund request. I think that is a very POOR policy and want everyone looking into Advisory Cloud to understand this practice. Now for the services themselves. I registered and got a few introductory ideas, and then nothing for the rest of the 3 months. It is a complete waste of time! Do NOT sign up!

AdvisoryCloud Please read the comments and complaints as my experience is very similar

Please read the comments and complaints as my experience is very similar. Many promises and lack of production. Expensive. They state that they sent e-mails to notify me of a charge on my credit card. I reached out the next business day after getting charged nearly $2K and asked for a refund. They stated that they "can't" refund. If they are charging for an annual membership for future use and the were truly reputable, an agreement could be made. Maybe convert me to a monthly membership and refund 11 months. Maybe understand that issues happen. However, the strict adherence to Terms and Conditions (which are meant to protect the company, not the consumer) shows that this is a pure cash grab. They made and offer that I could get 6 additional months and 3 more board placements as an alternative to a refund, but after 12 months and no board placements, how is that equitable? Stay away. There are other services that run a reputable business.

AdvisoryCloud gives executives a great way to share their knowledge. You are able to join Digital Advisory Boards, share your experience with companies that need your help. You are also given a personal link to your own web page, you are able to use that page for marketing yourself as an advisor. AdvisoryCloud gives to access to companies and other executives that you wouldn't find anywhere else. What an exciting way to pay it forward to companies and people that need it advice.

All you wrote was an ad copy for the website. Your review isn't a review in the most minute sense of the word. Either you've been paid by the company to write this comment (I refuse to continue calling it a review) or you scanned their site for a few moments and wrote this utter nonsense for no reason at all.

Looking at your comment vs real reviews from people who actually used their service and paid for it, your comment needs to be flagged and removed as it's obvious you have no real experience with the platform, and your "real customer" badge probably is from you just giving them your email address and never actually used or paid for their services.

AdvisoryCloud I should have looked at the reviews sooner and i should have known better

I should have looked at the reviews sooner and i should have known better. I signed up, went through orientation, and paid for help with the profile. I've emails to the boarding team complaining but no answer (sent on Monday). i also responded to their survey and no response. The heart of the problem, their business model is a lie. Companies are not engaging with the advisories. The two "boards " i joined gave no information and asked questions that a first year business student would ask for more information before answering. I asked in my email, are the so-called boards sharing in revenue with AdvisoryCloud. That is the only way i can see why they are on the service. The Boards are not getting any benefit from their inane questions and pretend advisory engagements. Their business model relies on one-time revenue and services and fining new gullible people. I'll be cancelling, but i was stupid enough to sign up for a year. People, don't make same mistake i made. Stay away from AdvisoryCloud.

AdvisoryCloud Please DO NOT PURCHASE this service

Please DO NOT PURCHASE this service. This service over promises, under deliver, and have NO REFUND policy, and a *** 15 days policy for cancellation. They promise to help get consulting jobs, but they are basically a blog because that's the only help that you get from them to build your "consulting business". I understand that this service is not for everybody, that's ok, what's is unbearable and really annoying is the over-complicated *** path that they give you to cancel the subscription. First, there is no way on your profile to do that, to reach the option you need to dig in their web page, it is hidden with the intention of you having a hard time finding it. After you find it, they present to you 3 confirmation screens with a *** design that gets you in another one-click subscription. If you manage to go over those 3 screens they hit you with a 2-day reply and a 15 notice cancelation policy. Please do not hire this company, anyone who takes all that trouble to keep you unwillingly paying if shows that there are in for the money, and that the service is a smoke bomb.

AdvisoryCloud I wish I could give this zero stars

I wish I could give this zero stars. The free trial period does not afford you any opportunity to try out the platform. You can apply to be on some boards, but that's the only thing you get to do. When you go to try and enter the "boardroom" after being approved, it prompts you to subscribe. Additionally, in the list of boards to join, a majority of the companies did not exist. I get that some are startups that may not have a big presence yet, but I tried to research them separate from the website and found a lot of them were not (or no longer) real entities. Others seem to be related to one another. I don't want to list them here, as it is likely proprietary information, but I counted at least 5 that were not real. There was one or two more but they don't show up under available opportunities any longer to validate compared to my first few days of logging in. They hard sell you on the benefits but unless you have $300 to blow, I'd recommend staying away. I canceled during the free trial period after realizing I wouldn't get further without giving them money I would most certainly not be able to recover.

AdvisoryCloud Advisorycloud may be of use to some folks

Advisorycloud may be of use to some folks. It was of zero use for me. When I tried to cancel, they convinced me to pause my membership and to follow up with me 6 months later before resuming. That should have been my clue to get out. They did not follow up and quietly began charging my credit card. It's a busy card unfortunately and the amount was small enough ($195/mon) that it took 8 month before it triggered a filter on my account for 'unknown purchase'. I'm sure they were within their rights according to the agreement I had originally signed, but 'legal' and 'honest' are not always synonymous. They knew exactly what they were doing. Just try and cancel your account once you've created it. 1. You can no longer reach a person via any published numbers unless you pretend to be someone who wants to sign up. 2. Voicemail instruction on how to cancel are not accurate. 3. Clearly, my account was in some sort of 'suspended' state as attempts to access my profile were met with 'please renew your premium membership to continue'. 4. After finally finding a mechanism to cancel, there were no less than 5 attempts to dissuade me from cancelling my account (but no attempt to interact with me on a personal level.) Sorry I ever got involved and will warn all of my C-suite buddies to provide AdvisoryCloud a wide berth.

AdvisoryCloud If I could give a 0, I would

If I could give a 0, I would. Total waste of money-I should have read the Complaintsboard.com reviews before signing up. I signed up for 3 months and not a single inquiry-all they do is give you a URL link of your profile to post on your Linkedin or email signature. People can contact you already via Linkedin for free so what's the point of that? Everything is non refundable no matter what the case so buyer be warned. I hit the button to have a call to set up my profile then within literally 5 minutes, decided to cancel it because I read the Complaintsboard.com reviews and the all said they did a poor job of setting up the profile. Reviewers all said you might as well do it yourself. Of course that was charged anyway and there was no reasoning with them-they offered to have the call anyway (after I was charged of course and after I already completed my profile-total waste of time and money). They are very unprofessional and use high pressure sales tactics. The original guy I was scheduled with no showed and I had to follow up with him-should have been my first sign. The second lady was all high pressure sale sand wanted to sell me a full year of course. I opted for the least expensive version to try them out of 3 months. The "board advisory positions" they describe as 3-5 questions from business to you as an advisor to answer. Well it was a heck of a lot more than that-more like dissertations and required a lot of time to complete for absolutely no value add to you. Basically they're looking for free expert advise-again total waste of time. Save your money people-no return value from this investment in time or money.

AdvisoryCloud I wish I would have seen these reviews before giving them a try wow

I wish I would have seen these reviews before giving them a try wow. Regardless I had a similar experience it seems like. So I joined this group expecting to have actual active companies. It seems like a bad dating site, they have all these pretty options but they are all fake or non active entities. The ones that are active do not have the ability or concept of how to even utilize advisors. This service felt like the user (me) pays for access to a bunch of potential work that does not exist or is very poorly represented to exist and the company of AC doesn't do much to facilitate any real match ups. I think its a terrible value, poorly executed, and borderline ***. Good for all those who had positive experiences but I would not waste the $285 for this service. Also when I went to cancel the phone number doesn't send you to any live human beings. So you need internet to cancel and I was in an area with poor connection so when i went thru the 9 prompts to cancel, yes 9 prompts, I kept disconnectng and had to start over. This resulted in me taking an extra couple of days to cancel (i did forget to continue when I got home) and I got charde another $285 for another useless 3 months. They also so far have refused to pro rate refund me (which I get is probably something they spell out in the Terms of Service but that is a disappointing thing to experience in a world of much better customer service). I'm also pretty sure they are fabricating reviews on Google, no evidence other than they have too many 5 stars reviews saying "yay they are great" vs all of the 1 stars are small novels like mine. I'd give this a zero if I could.

AdvisoryCloud I signed up for Advisory Cloud after seeing an ad in LinkedIn

I signed up for Advisory Cloud after seeing an ad in LinkedIn. I am a Canadian, based in Canada. I thought the service looked intriguing, so I decided to give it a try. The pricing only became visible once I clicked through my decision to purchase - I felt $285 was a bit steep to effectively try out a service, but I proceeded with the purchase. Two days later I checked my credit card statement only to discover I was charged in $USD, so it came to just over $385. I did not even realize this was a US business, as it was promoted to me through my (Canadian) LinkedIn profile. I then did more research on the company and felt the service is much more geared towards Americans, so I felt it may not have much value for me as a Canadian (particularly for $100 more than I was expecting). I also double checked that I didn't miss any info suggesting I would be charged in $US, and there was none - I had no way of knowing. I contacted the company to explain this and request a refund, and the very polite woman at Advisory Cloud informed me that there were no refunds. She offered to escalate, then emailed me less than an hour later reiterating that no refund would be offered. Instead I had to get my credit card company to reimburse me, which they did quickly as they agreed it is false advertising (which is illegal) to promote to Canadians without making it clear charges would be in $US. AC held firm to "no refunds" after my call to them, and when I re-escalated via email they took 9 days to reply, and at that point informed me they would not help me on account of my opening up a (then unresolved) credit card dispute. I think Advisory Cloud could use my help on their board - I could enlighten them on proper customer service!

AdvisoryCloud Sorry to say that investing in ExecRanks/AdvisoryCloud was a complete waste of money

Sorry to say that investing in ExecRanks/AdvisoryCloud was a complete waste of money. I paid for their service after hearing that lots of companies would be interested in my expertise, went through the process of having them create a profile description for me (which wasn't very good), participated in a few panels as they suggested, and applied to some positions which looked interesting. Nothing came my way except the monthly bill. Could I have done more to "enhance" my profile? Maybe. Would it have mattered? Probably not. Admittedly I reached out a while back and said this wasn't working for me and they offered 3 free months. they didn't really offer to help get me noticed, and it seems clear they don't actually care if anyone gets noticed - they want monthly membership fees. When I logged in now, there doesn't even seem to be a customer service number to call. Enough. I don't recommend them and wish I had never signed up for this. For the few who get positions I'm sure this can be helpful. For the rest of us who are sold into the promise of lucrative gigs, this is a waste. Save your money, friends. I wasted a lot on this, and they really didn't care when I spoke to them. How nice of their website to let me know I can deduct their fees as marketing expenses. How generous of them to offer an extra six months to those who sign up and pay the full rate in the middle of a pandemic. If they really want to be an ethical company, make it free to post a profile and then charge people only when they get hired. I'd like a refund of what I've paid. This has done me no good and preying on people's hopes is not something to be a part of any longer. If anyone from AdvisoryCloud wants to reach out to me to resolve this, they are welcome to do so. Otherwise, I shall remain an extremely dissatisfied customer.

AdvisoryCloud BEWARE OF BEING SADDLED WITH HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS OF UNWANTED CHARGES that are unfair and from your perspective, completely unauthorized

BEWARE OF BEING SADDLED WITH HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS OF UNWANTED CHARGES that are unfair and from your perspective, completely unauthorized. I enrolled in the service in the hope it would raise my profile as an expert consultant, and widen opportunity. It did not, but so be it: that is not the reason I am taking the time to write this review. I would have been happy to simply declare the experiment (payment for an initial period of service, and waiting for the results to unfold) to be unsuccessful at the end of the initial term, and walk away. However, AdvisoryCloud's business model does not permit such an amicable parting: instead, their practice, based on what I have just experienced, is (a) to "auto renew" without your affirmative permission, unless you have "read the fine print" of "terms and conditions" to which they will cite, and have had the foresight to notify them days in advance that you do not wish to renew, and (b) to refuse a subsequent request (that you make once you see a new, unexpected charge) to cancel immediately, i.e., refuse to honor a request that you not be charged for an additional service period that you do not want and for which you did not grant permission to charge. In other words, pointing to "fine print" of "terms and conditions," they will refuse to refund your money and insist your (renewed) service, and the associated financial obligation reflected in their charge to your credit card, be extended into the upcoming months of no interest to you. Their customer service response is to refuse to budge, preferring retention of hundreds of dollars of your money for continued service you do not want over leaving you with the sense they do business fairly and with a sense of integrity. I have entered in a dispute resolution with the credit card issue, and when the card company's representative called (with me on the line) to attempt informal resolution, she was astonished at how the AdvisoryCloud representative behaved (she hung up on us!).

Advisory Cloud is a *** pseudo-company who have neither the ability nor the intent to link any person with a meaningful advisory position with any real corporation that can or will ever develop into any career advancement or paid consulting. Their website depicts logos and names of household name Fortune 500 corps. Most of their sad roster of pseudo-companies you can see after paying a fee are some idiot's start up based in a spare bedroom, if that. Some are noted as LLCs, meaning probably one person operations; I suspect some of these might be side projects of Advisory Cloud staff. In my case a salesperson lied to me directly when I inquired about their relationships with European corporations as I am planning a relocation to Europe. I was told they have a large and growing roster of European firms with which they work. I saw zero after logging in. I sent emails and made a phone call to their "customer service" person who basically lied her face off about not being sure how many corps in Europe they have on their roster. She wouldn't give a direct answer to the Q "Is the number larger than zero?" She also sounded like she thought my accusations of federal crime via fraud were funny. In my case because I noted that I gave card info to a salesman on the phone based in his knowing misrepresentations before ever encountering their online terms and conditions - in fact in order to receive a log in password even to see that - and because I made it clear I was bringing multiple levels of law enforcement attention on them with an eye toward charging them with fraud, they agreed to refund my money. Before they did, my chargeback through the card was approved, so I can't say if they ever were planning on following through and actually refunding my money without the chargeback. None of the legal depts of the Fortune 500 corps whose logos they are displaying on their website have any awareness thus far of any relationship with them nor any arrangement they've made to allow them use of said logos. AdvisoryCloud I was approached by a company claiming to connect you to advisory board positions

I was approached by a company claiming to connect you to advisory board positions. I paid for the service and an additional fee for someone to help me set up the account. I scheduled a call to have this setup done. This call was canceled on me less than 24 hours before I was scheduled to be seen. Each time I tried to reschedule, they canceled. Each time I tried to contact the company, I was never contacted back. I sent an email to receive a full refund and was told they wouldn't refund it. They have not provided any services. I would like this company to refund the total amount and give a formal apology. If that does not happen I will continue to escalate this. They are a scam company and should not be allowed to continue doing this to people.

My husband *** died suddenly of a heart attack. I am trying to cancel his membership with Advisorycloud.com. I have been unable to do so because I don't know his username or password. I have been unable to contact them by phone. The recording at *** says to cancel I must go to advisoryboard.com/deactivate but I have to enter username and password. There is no option to speak with customer service. I am going to contest the charge of $285.00 on my AmEx bill dated 07/06/22. Can you help to resolve this?

AdvisoryCloud I signed up for a 14 day trial membership (scheduled to end on 8/16) and had to give my credit card info

I signed up for a 14 day trial membership (scheduled to end on 8/16) and had to give my credit card info. I cancelled the membership either the same day or just a few days later, but never received a confirmation. I found a credit card charge today (8/17) for the first month's membership in the amount of $295.00. When I contacted them, I was told they never received my cancellation, and they couldn't email me because I opted out of email. It is apparent I never used their service and immediately contact them when I received the charge. They have slimy business practices and I would like your assistance in getting a refund. By the way, I filed a cancellation again today and did not get a confirmation, but I have a screen print of my cancellation.

I signed up for a free trial for a service that is clearly a scam. I immediately canceled the service. They used the darkest techniques in order to try and trick you in to not not canceling... You literally have to click a "yes, I want to cancel" button 5 times in a row. After doing all of this. I didn't get emails anymore from them. 2 weeks later, they charged my card 950$. I immediately contacted them about this and they suggested I never canceled my account. I have the screenshots to prove it. Still they refused to refund my money. After lookin around here at Complaintsboard.com and other sources, it's clear this is just a big scam https://thedataist.com/fraud-alert-***-execranks-advisorycloud/https://www.yelp.com/biz/***-***-2

I received an email saying my payment of $285 filed to process. I replied to let the company know that I did not intend to utilize their services. I received a follow-up mail from the company indicating that I did not cancel within the proper time limit and therefore owed the $285. I honestly was not aware that I had signed up for a trial period that would lead to a contract. I have not used their service.

Advisory Cloud started billing me $95.00 per month on October 6, and continued monthly through August 6, 2022, for a total of $1,045.00. I don't ever remember signing up for any service with Advisory Cloud that would cost a monthly fee as such.. During this time I never received any communication from them on anything - not how to proceed, not any billing statements. In fact, the digital site shows absolutely ZERO contacts from AdvisoryCloud to me and no references to any possible advisory or board positions.Apparently all this company is doing is getting as much monthly *** by doing some website postings without any personal services, which is their claim to fame.I want my money back. That's all.

AdvisoryCloud I was lured into a scam with Advisory Cloud which claimed to offer services to connect executives with startups for board guidance / mentorship

I was lured into a scam with Advisory Cloud which claimed to offer services to connect executives with startups for board guidance / mentorship. After discussing options for services, the sales rep I spoke with convinced me to upgrade membership with a $1,495 fee on Sept 16th, 2021. Advisory Cloud offered ZERO service and ZERO assistance to help connect me with other startups. Advisory Cloud completely set false expectations on what they would provide and how connections work. I have attempted many times to speak with them, it is nearly impossible to actually speak with a human after the initial introductory consultation is over.I have had ZERO connection or interaction to any startups. No service has been provided whatsoever.I am requesting a full refund of $1,495.

I signed up for a free trial with these folks and advised them prior to the 14 days that I wanted to cancel via the phone. They even attempted to charge my card multiple times until it finally cleared for them. I never used the service and requested to cancel. I was then told I would not get a refund at all the customer service rep stopped responding to my emails

AdvisoryCloud says that its a digital platform for placing executives on boards of companies. I was approached by one of their sales rep *** around June . They have aggressive selling tactics - that should have been a red flag - however I signed up for a 1 year membership for $850 that they said is necessary for me to get placed with boards. I signed up joined last year - applied for Board Seats to 3 companies . Nothing happened.Once I signed the contract *** the sales rep disappeared. Two months ago one of the companies sent an email saying that they have hired a CEO.Then on Jul 1 this year Advisory Cloud charged $950 on my credit card renewing my membership without my authorization. The worst part is that they dont even send you an email saying your membership is coming up for renewal so that one has a chance to cancel. The way I came to know that my membership has been renewed is that I got a call from my credit card company suspecting a fraudulent transaction.I cancelled and they still charged me the full payment even though I cancelled the membership. Apparently their cancellation policy is that if you cancel they will charge you for 1 year .This is a total scam.I have called their office repeatedly and they are refusing to refund me $950 even though I have cancelled the membership.Whats more they are blaming me saying I turned off notifications for receiving renewals - I didnt. They are trying to make me buy a premium membership which for now is " complimentary" and costs $2900.This company is a complete scam. There are multiple reviews about them in Trustpilot - about the exact same thing.I have attached screenshots of my profile on their website - which shows that I am " Active" even though I cancelled on Jul 2 and have cancellation acceptance notices I want a refund of $950.Please help me.

AdvisoryCloud I signed up for the AdvisoryCloud trial with the understanding that I would be notified in advance of any charges

I signed up for the AdvisoryCloud trial with the understanding that I would be notified in advance of any charges. I also noticed the company claims on the Complaintsboard.com site in answer to another complaint as follows:"In an effort to ensure all members are full aware of when their free trial will automatically conclude, we send a receipt with the specific day and time the member will be charged at the end of their 14 day free trial. We then send a reminder 48 hours prior to the charging the card on file."I never received an email, either in my regular inbox nor in my spam. I have been charged $665 to date. In order to correct this error by AdvisoryCloud, I requested that they please refund the $665 to my card. I sent them my complaint and the refund request to their email, as the phone does not get answered.

AdvisoryCloud Saw an add on LinkedIn for this service and was curious as to what it was

Saw an add on LinkedIn for this service and was curious as to what it was. Decided to try their "free 30 day trial." After speaking to one of their representatives, I decided I was not interested in pursuing further. At the end of the 30 day trial, they charged my credit card for one year's membership ($950!), which I did not authorize. At no point, was it made clear to me that this would happen. I reached out to this company the same day the charge was made and was told "Sorry, that's our policy. We sent you an e-mail letting you know that your trial was coming to an end." Only then did I discover that the e-mail they referenced was in my "SPAM" folder. This company preys on the ignorant in the hopes people will not realize what happens at the end of the "free trial period" and are unwavering on not providing refunds to people who made an honest mistake and do not wish to use their service.

AdvisoryCloud I was hounded for a year plus by a salesman to buy Advisory Cloud

I was hounded for a year plus by a salesman to buy Advisory Cloud. He showed me a platform that was robust with job opportunities for me to apply to and submit my resume for. He claimed that on average users see 10x return on their investment and that I would likely be hired for advisory work in the first month. I bought the membership and logged into the platform and I must have been in staging or a demo accounts for the demo I had because there are ZERO jobs for me to apply to. Whats more, every single time I email someone from the company, I NEVER hear back. I have spent the last two months trying to get a hold of someone and my emails have gone unresponded to. To date, there are NO jobs available, I have posted my resume and done all sorts of self marketing to no avail. The platform provides ZERO benefit to me and the ROI promised was not proven to be truthful. I was lied to up and down by this company.

AdvisoryCloud I joined Advisory cloud and have not had any real success or found that it is a good fit for me

I joined Advisory cloud and have not had any real success or found that it is a good fit for me. Honestly it does fell like a scam. $1200 for the year and there's no activity besides joining and setting up an account. I tried to cancel but have not been able to get them to let me. I cancelled my credit card so that I would not be charged and they have now notified me that they have a past due balance and are continuing to bill me as a late account. They have now threatened to report this to my credit history. I am enduring a hardship and I am a unemployed single parent. I cannot afford to be a member and they will not let me quit the service. I wish there were a way to get this kind of billing to stop. If I had known they had rules on not being able to quit the service when you sign up, I would have never joined. I have no other recourse than to try to get legal help with my problem and see if I can *** them to stop the billing and let me out of my contract.

AdvisoryCloud First and foremost, my wife nor I provided authorization to Advisory Cloud to debit my wife's checking account for membership renewal

First and foremost, my wife nor I provided authorization to Advisory Cloud to debit my wife's checking account for membership renewal. All past renewals came from my business account. That business is no longer active. I am a senior 67 years of age, and my sole income source is my social security check. My wife has health issues and needs to find different work. I have been a member of Advisory Cloud for over two years and have never received an opportunity to serve on any board. Advisory Cloud debited my wife's checking account for $350 for a 3-month renewal of membership. I did not receive a renewal notice. Only after Advisory Cloud debited the money from my wife's account did I request an immediate cancelation of my membership and refund of the $350 dues. I pleaded financial hardship. Those pleadings fell on deaf ears; Advisory Cloud told me they do not issue refunds. I ask for a full refund of the $350 and complete the cancelation of my membership immediately.

AdvisoryCloud Hello, I have been hounded by Advisorycloud for a months and decided to join

Hello, I have been hounded by Advisorycloud for a months and decided to join. I joined for the first month and paid my $350 as a subscription and have tried to work with the companies. There were no responses from any of them, and when receiving emails from the leadership I would reach out to them on linkedin and they would not even be aware that they were on the advisorycloud platform. The complaint stems from the fact that I have been trying to cancel my subscription but the website's url for canceling the subscription has been down for nigh a month. I have not been able to cancel, and I have not been able to click on the "Contact Us" page either. As such, when the time came to renew the quarterly subscription they charged me, and I could not cancel. When reaching out to the customer service team they said they are not allowed to provide refunds as per their terms of service agreement. The terms of service agreement also promises a functioning product, and I cannot cancel.

AdvisoryCloud Sales representative *** contacted me on June 29th via phone to buy his service, which gets *** positions

Sales representative *** contacted me on June 29th via phone to buy his service, which gets *** positions. I said I would do it if I could get a refund should they not be able to get me prominent board positions (i.e., non-startup, larger companies) - later they told me they don't provide refunds, so *** lied. Initial cost was $350, and *** recommended a $295 which would get me set up on the platform, including creation of profile. They failed to set up this initial appointment several times. Upon attending the session, I learned that Advisory Cloud did not provide prominent board positions because "approximately 200 Advisors" could be selected per company, and the work was done through discussion lists, not live board meetings with company officers. They reluctantly refunded the $350, which is acknowledgement that they did not deliver what was promised. They will not refund the $295, which is ridiculous if I am not going to use the platform. Scam...

AdvisoryCloud I believe *** Advisory is a MAJOR SCAM

I believe *** Advisory is a MAJOR SCAM.I received a free 14 trial offer to subscribe to their services. After 14 days they will charge $1,950 for an annual membership.I tried their services, created an account only to find out that the board services they were offering were not what I was looking for. I was looking for a *** of Directors position, they had mostly *** of *** and almost all I saw were non paid. Having been burned in the past by similar organizations, I decided to cancel my subscription. On May 13, a day before my trial would expire, I called their number *** to cancel. There was a recorded message that the only way to cancel was online. I went online and cancelled. During the cancellation process, a screen popped up offering me to pay only $500 for the same service they were charging $1,950. I STILL DECLINED THAT AND THE ORIGINAL OFFER. To my greatest dismay, Advisory Cloud went ahead and charged my account for $1,950 on May 14, 2022, completely ignoring my request for cancellation.I WANT THIS REVERSED ASAP. I DID NOT USE THEIR SERVICEsS BEYOND THE *** PERIOD OF MAY 1 thru MAY 14. I cancelled on May 13th.

AdvisoryCloud Advisory Cloud recently made changes to its membership model

Advisory Cloud recently made changes to its membership model. What those really are nobody knows since they have not been transparent. Their website does not include a 'my account' page on user profiles so nobody has control over their own membership without contacting the company.I joined Advisory Cloud on Sept 30, 2020, and chose not to renew after one year. This should have been the end of all contact.Earlier this year my account was reactivated as if it had been made free access with no explanation. Then on March 30th, I received an email stating 'Payment failed please update your membership information.' They were trying to charge my card for $950. My card had been canceled and replaced and no longer works thankfully but this should never have happened. They have sent seven emails since reminding me to update my billing information. No effort to ASK if I want to be a member or if I want to pay yearly or monthly. The billing update page is also setup to authorize an auto-renewing payment?I do not think I am the only person this has happened to. I commented on a comment on LinkedIn yesterday from someone who got charged the same during a trial period and was refused a refund. I suspect they charged every card they had in their system.

Hello - I joined Advisory Cloud after talking with representative *** in April -- I was hesitant to pay the $950 (Invoice #***), but *** assured me Advisory Cloud would reach out to me prior to assessing next year's fee. In the beginning, I logged in as a customer and agreed to join a couple of boards, but no one from those organizations ever contacted me after their initial "welcome" email. I stopped logging in to Advisory Cloud in July , effectively discontinuing this service. During my initial call with ***, I was told Advisory Cloud would reach out to me prior to assessing the annual renewal. That did not happen. I was just charged a 'renewal' subscription fee of $950! Upon noticing the charge, I contacted customer service and asked to cancel and asked for a refund -- they told me to submit a form online to discontinue, with no option for a refund. I was given the run-around stating that I accepted the 'terms and conditions' despite my not even using the service for 9 months. No notice of renewal was provided to me and I am continually stone walled by customer service citing 'policy' and terms and conditions. I'm very disappointed - simply want my refund for a product I barely and initially used, added no value. I feel like Advisory Cloud used predatory practices to charge me nearly $1,000 - twice!

- I was sent an email from the company on October 17th that my yearly renewal was about to come up on 11/1 ($950 charge)- It provided a link that I could click through to cancel on my account page, which I did on that date - After I cancelled, I could no longer log into/access my account - On 11/1 I was charged $950 - I called the company on 11/2 when I saw the charge to note it was a mistake since I had cancelled in October - On this call, I told them I could no longer access my account and asked for a refund - They said they do not offer refunds and that my account was available until 11/1/2022 - I explained that I did not want the service, I had cancelled through their platform in October and surely since I was calling the day after the charge (and the fact that I could no longer access my account) that they would honor the refund - I was told they would not give the refund - I called back again to speak to a manager, but no manager was available - Although I could not access my account when I was trying to confirm the cancellation, I was suddenly able to access it (though I could not update my profile) after they sent me an email saying they would refund me 50% and offer me more services (what a joke after I told them I do not want to use their services)- I'm shocked that a company that bills themselves for professional services would not honor a refund for someone calling the day after the charge and what is clearly and issue with their platform, this tells me they are either predatory or it's a scam - I want a full, 100% refund

AdvisoryCloud Advisory Cloud offers a service to connect executives with startups to provide mentorship I am disputing their charge for $950 for a membership

Advisory Cloud offers a service to connect executives with startups to provide mentorship I am disputing their charge for $950 for a membership for service that 1)I did not receive any services 2)They did not provide adequate notification of renewal per *** law 3)I contacted them 18 days (and multiple times after) prior via their phone number to cancel and they did not return my call until after they had charged my card The last time I used this was December, I have since not been provided any connection with startups or any correspondence whatsoever. They do not provide any service. On November 18 I emailed their customer service letting them know I did not authorize renewal.I have been calling their phone number since Nov 1st. I call their main corporate number *** They have not provided me any service. After calling multiple times for weeks on end nobody answers and I left a voicemail requesting cancellation of their service on their phone line since from an iPhone browser there is no option to cancel. Nor does it exist on a tablet.I have left messages and only after they charged me and I disputed it did they contact me and they sent an email confirming they cancelled my account yet are still disputing I owe them $950 to renew a service I requested cancellation of and for which they do not answer their phone In exchange for my complaint they offered to change my subscription to monthly and charge me $95 and then cancel me - why would I pay $95 for a service I did not receive or agree to. Calling the customer service number results in voice mail every time except once. This business is scamming me and other executives and you can see I am not the only one
