This place is a total joke. They use fake pictures and words to trick you into buying their stuff. They're so mean and they just want your money. Don't even think about going here!

So, I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience at A&W's online auction. It's like they're just trying to get rid of all the stuff nobody else wants. I mean, most of the items were broken or damaged in some way. And then there were these boxes of junk that were just buried under other stuff. It was a real mess.

I wouldn't recommend buying anything from A&W's online auction. It's just not worth the hassle. I mean, sure, you might find something that's okay, but it's not worth sifting through all the junk just to find it. And even then, who knows if it's really going to work properly?

Overall, I was pretty disappointed with my experience at A&W's online auction. It's just not worth the time or effort. If you're looking for quality items, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

Listen up, folks! If you're thinking about buying from A & W (awsurplus.com), you better watch out. I've heard through the grapevine that a lot of the stuff they sell is actually returns or defective items that were supposed to be destroyed. And guess what? The guy who runs the show, Wayne, buys it all up for next to nothing. He gets it for pennies on the dollar, thanks to some shady deal with the manufacturer. And to top it all off, he's the one bidding against you online! Can you believe it? I know all this because, unfortunately, Wayne is my own flesh and blood. He's a real piece of work, let me tell you. So if you're thinking about buying from A & W, just be careful. You never know what you're going to get.

I recently had an experience with A&W Surplus Auction and I have to say, I was not impressed. I couldn't help but wonder why a business of this size would be running up prices. It just didn't make sense to me.

I decided to check out their warehouse and office during one of their auctions. To my surprise, the lady and guy running the day to day services were laughing and drinking alcohol while making fun of the bidders. I couldn't believe it!

I decided to question the office about this unprofessional behavior. However, I was told that my account was flagged and that I couldn't let them rob me. I was shocked and disappointed.

To make matters worse, I ended up buying a pallet of items that turned out to be broken and unusable. It seemed like they had covered up old stock with unsellable items. I was not happy with my purchase at all.

Overall, I would caution anyone considering doing business with A&W Surplus Auction. Buyer beware!

Most of the items that you bid on at A & W Surplus do not work or have been damaged. I was sold an external drive, and when I received it, it didn't even work. I contacted them only to run into an angry, grumpy old man. Poor customer service, I tell you. They are quick to charge you, but deliver poor products. They post crappy photos of their products, but want you to see them in person. That's what I did. I went in to see what I thought was a bag of 40lb dog food, but it was only 30lbs. I was sold a product that was not 40lbs. I even went in to see it on Wednesday, but the service was poor.

I also bought some detergent, and it was listed as a certain number of ounces, but it was only half full. It's not fair to charge someone for a full product when it's only half full. I was very disappointed with my experience at A & W Surplus. I would advise anyone to stay away and be careful of their terms of agreement. You'll get screwed over. With them taking a cut out of your purchase and plus taxes, it's not worth the savings.

Overall, I would not recommend A & W Surplus to anyone. The products are poor quality, the customer service is terrible, and the prices are not worth it. It's better to spend a little more money and get a product that actually works and is worth the price.

I buy a lot of stuff from A & W and I gotta say, I had a pretty bad experience with them recently. I was bidding on an auction and when I got my invoice the next day, there was an item on there that I didn't even bid on! So I emailed them right away at like 7:45 in the morning to get it fixed, but I never heard back from them. Instead, I got an email with my payment confirmation, so I called them up to make sure they got my email. I've emailed them before and they never respond, so I wanted to make sure they got it this time. But the lady who answered the phone, Ann, was super rude to me and said she would get to my email when she had time. I didn't hear back from her for over an hour and when I finally did, she just said that the bid was placed live. She didn't even address my issue or tell me if they were going to fix it or not. So I called back again and explained the situation again, but Ann was even more rude to me this time. She told me to shut up and then hung up on me! I couldn't believe it! I tried calling back a bunch of times, but my calls kept getting dropped. Finally, I called from a different phone and someone else answered. I explained the situation again and this lady told me I would have to consign the mattress. I've spent over $9k with this company in the last year and I know their policies, but I DID NOT BID ON THAT ITEM! It's basically fraud! And then they denied me access to my online account, which is just wrong. I will never buy anything from this company again and I urge you not to either. They are unethical, unprofessional, and just plain rude.

A & W Surplus and Auction Company is quite the experience. They have auctions on Proxibid and show a photo of the item you're bidding on, but that's not what you get. The three items I received were not what they claimed they were. Instead, I got broken, incomplete, smelly, dirty, insect-infested, missing parts, and not the items they showed in the auction photographs. When they bill you, they do it in two separate billings; one through Proxibid and the other through PayPal. They do this so that if you dispute the charge through PayPal, they escalate it to a claim. Since the dispute is regarding the quality or since you did receive something from them, PayPal automatically rules in their favor since it wasn't an eBay auction. It's a way to circumvent the system to their advantage.

I published a blog that shows the emails sent from them to me and vice versa, as well as photos showing what I was supposed to be bidding on and what I received instead. As far as they are concerned, the matter is closed. As far as I'm concerned, this is just the beginning. I am posting this to each and every place I can find and reporting it to each and every agency I can find. A scam is a scam.

UPDATE: I spoke with a representative from Proxibid, and they were very sorry about this incident and wanted to make amends. They offered to refund all of my expenses in this transaction and a sincere apology. They understood my frustration and dissatisfaction. This came from Proxibid, not A & W Surplus. A & W Surplus has yet to do anything about this, and I strongly suspect they won't. Crooked is as crooked does. I will continue to do business with Proxibid, but I advise everyone not to do business with A & W Surplus and Auctions.
