Viagogo Dishonest service, refusal to issue a refund

I purchased a ticket for a concert through Viagogo just a few hours before the event, expecting it to take place in the evening. However, the ticket was delivered 25 minutes after the concert had already started, making it completely unusable. The platform failed to warn that the tickets being sold were for an event that was already in progress.

As a result, I was forced to buy a new ticket at the venue, incurring additional expenses. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, Viagogo refused to issue a refund, relying solely on internal system records that do not reflect the actual situation.

I have also filed an official complaint with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) due to the company’s misleading business practices. I am leaving this review to warn other users. Be very cautious when purchasing tickets from this platform, especially on the day of the event.

Recommendation: Never use this service

Viagogo Easy and convenient way to get tickets

My son is a big soccer (football) fan. We planned a trip to Spain for his spring break. In January, I bought 3 tickets via Viagogo to watch the Real Madrid vs. Levante on March 15th. It was easy to purchase the tickets online and I immediately got a confirmation email from Viagogo. A month later, I received another email confirming the date/time of the game. Then a couple of days before the game, I received a third email with detailed instructions on how and where to pickup the tickets. On the day of the match, we followed the instructions, got the tickets (the pickup location is about 10 minutes walk from the stadium), and went to the game. We thoroughly enjoyed the game and it was one of the highlights of the trip. I will definitely use Viagogo again in the future.

Viagogo Order [protected]

It concerned order *** purchase of tickets for the Porto match. I sincerely advise against it, it is not the official ticket distributor of the Porto club and the club confirmed that it is "fake" and nothing to do with VIAGOGO. Tickets arrived in Lisbon on the day of the event at 14.30 and the match was of course in Porto, despite many contacts that tickets do not exist and should be delivered 3 days before the event or we asked for electronic tickets, they were promised that they would be sent, but they were not sent by the start time. I do not understand such behavior of this company and of course a refund for tickets was written to us that it is not possible. HJ I advise everyone against this VIAGOGO company and I recommend platforms that have contracts for the distribution of events in a given country. This company is a hoot.

Viagogo THIS WAS SO PERFECT THAT I PROBABLY WONT DO IT AGAIN BECAUSE IT CAN ONLY GO DOWNHILL FROM HERE

Bought 2 really cheap tickets for champions league (Bayern - Shakhtar) 2 months before the match... they were for business class seats...

Tickets were sent a week after the purchase, and i got them 2 days after sending...

So that means i have had tickets for my match 2 months before the game... i was over the moon... because i have read all the bad comments here so i thought that i wont get it until 5 days before the game... then i thought that they might be fake... because its too good to be true...

Not just that i have bought them for really good price, got them 2 months ahead, i even got upgraded to even better seats!

When i got to Allianz Arena i was so afraid that i was fooled and that the tickets were fake... and when i got in... i was so happy...

This was the best thing in my life so far... i had the time of my life...

Thank you viagogo, thank you mr. Patrick!

Viagogo Frustrated. Read below. But overall, delivered

I ordered tickets in April for the WWC in France. Left the US to go to Spain before arriving in Le Havre for the game on June 20 (arrived the 19th). I had my tickets delivered to the Le Havre hotel and arranged to have someone sign. On first delivery attempt, the tickets were so badly damaged that the receptionist declined to sign. They were returned. As of June -8th Viagogo was replying to my frustrated communications with emails saying they were working on the situation but they wouldn't be responsible if I didn't receive them. You can imagine my frustration. I had already booked a hotel, flight and promised my two children they would see our home nation play in the WWC. I was beyond frustrated. Needless to say Viagogo just kept reassuring me they would get me the tickets. Ultimately, despite the anxiety and frustration, they delivered the tickets as promised and the seats were exactly right. Good job viagogo

Viagogo Great service

I bought tickets to see the Swedish metal band Sabaton for their concert in Chicago on October 26. When I bought the tickets I started to see all the negative reviews about how it's a scam and I shouldn't buy from them. About a week or two before the concert I got and email saying the tickets I got earlier were fakes, and they sent me 2 new copies of the tickets. I was anxious from the time I got in my car all the way until they scanned my tickets. The tickets scanned, my friend and I got in and we had a great night. From my experience Viagogo is a good company with some people who try to scam buyers using the site. This review won't bring any money back that may have been lost but it should give some confidence to anyone who is trying to buy from them that their are good sellers out there. Thanks to Viagogo for being so quick to resolve the issue with the tickets and gave me a great night. While I personally won't be using the site again due to all the bad reviews, I will say that their service and support is greatly appreciated.

Viagogo This Seller Satisfied

I recently sold tickets I had purchased for an event that occurred in Russia this year. I was unable to attend at the last minute due to a family emergency.

I was able to set my own price based on Viagogo's recommendation and sold tickets for five of the seven matches I had tickets for. By way of comparison I listed tickets on Stub Hub International for one match and never heard back from Stub Hub and could not even find my listing on line.

Viagogo notified me when the sale was about to take place, confirmed I still wanted to sell my tickets, thereby giving me the option to back out if with no penalty.

I confirmed I still wanted to sell the tickets, I then got an email from Viagogo with a FEDEX Label attached to it. I printed out the label, put the tickets in the FEDEX envelope pressed a button to schedule FEDEX to pick up my tickets and the FEDEX driver came and picked them up within the requested time period.

One day before the match I received a notice that the person that bought my tickets had received them. One day after the match I received a notice that my payment would be processed in 5-7 business days.

Exactly 5 business days later the funds were deposited in my account.

Viagogo Viagogo - Great Service, too many Whingers

I personally have been more than happy with the Service as a Seller. I've not been well and therefore unable to attend some venues and have been able to Utilise the Services of Viagago to move on my tickets which i am unable to use. I have read many reviews criticizing hidden charges but have proceeded to checkout the purchase as if i was going to buy tickets to see how you are advised on costs. It is very clear throughout the checkout process what charges are going to be applied at final payment. People are slating Viagago including the Government and MPs, why is the same level of criticism not being applied to GETMEIN part of Ticketmaster Companies which operate very much in the same way which have also used also? Ticketmaster Group are no better than any reselling companies as they Sell face value tickets but then happy to promote GETMEIN on their Ticketmaster Website when Venue Tickets have sold out as a Second Lifesaving option... The bottom line is that people buy from Ticket Reselling sites as they have not been to get tickets for various reasons at the initial point of Sale including not realising tickets were on Sale by their favourite Artists and upon realising want a Second chance of being able to buy often 6 - 12 Months later after the initial tickets are offered on Sale but now sold out. Two Words - Buyers Remorse, we've all experienced it I'm sure, we've bought something in life but then had second thoughts about our purchase. Like anything in life whether it's a new car, House Purchase, your favourite chocolate, but like all products and Services, the true cost and Value of them is only decided by the Purchaser themselves on how they value what they're spending their money on. Therefore if you don't think some tickets are of true value to you it's simple... Don't buy them as buyers remorse is likely to creep in real quick,,,,, there will be someone else just around the corner that believes they are of personal value to them. Viagago offer the same services as GETMEIN and other similar Companies, we all have the option to say yes or no, so make your choices and stop whinging!

Viagogo ONLY MIIDEL MEN 100%+++ inflated cost for tickets!! DONT USE!!

In their own words" viagogo is a platform that connects people who want to buy and sell tickets for live events.

Ticket prices are set by sellers and may be above or below face value (the amount the event organizers print on the tickets). You'll see this on our homepage, event pages, and other key areas of the site. We value transparency and make sure to show the final price, which includes any additional feeds, prior to buyers completing a purchase."

The parking pass was for $27.95 which included the fees. I called the Viagogo and they said they were unable to help me since the parking ticket was correct. Question to them is why would anyone purchase parking tickets 3 miles away from the venue? Shame on them!

Viagogo A complete scam, and you're not getting your money back

I've just been subject to the horrible sham that is viagogo

Upon rushing to get presale tickets to an artist I was desperate to see, I didn't realise I didn't realise the 1st result that came up on google search was an ad for a reseller website not a legitimate ticket sales site like Ticketmaster. I clicked through and missed the small text up top saying the were a ticket marketplace (which doesn't exactly explain their inherent difference to something like tickmaster at all) and all the large pop up banners saying "only 2% of tickets remain" and "your tickets will be sold in 10 minutes to another buyer" and "80 people buying these tickets now etc." (also great timing I had almost run out of dat and had been waiting to see this artist back in nz for 8 years) I rushed through the buying process scarred I would miss out.

After being sold the tickets for apparently $319 an extra $160 was added in book fees to my order on the last page... Having gotten so far with only minutes to go before my tickets were supposedly forfeit (and thinking these were the legitimate prices) I reluctantly accepted and paid
Via credit card.

I received a email confirmation but no row or seat number, which raised my suspicion. Having called my partner excited with news of our tickets she informed me the website was a
Scalper scam website. After doing some research I saw the same tickets would have cost approximately $220-280 on ticket master including booking fees, versus the $480 I was just rushed into spending, and I was left with a bitter taste in my mouth for paying for basically 4 tickets and receiving 2.

But it got worse,

Able to accept my foolishness this once and accepting my lesson-learnt; never to use anything but ticket master, I'm now looking further into at the abhorrent track record of viagogo in its reviews on trust pilot (1 Star from 25 thousand reviews).
https://nz.trustpilot.com/review/www.viagogo.co.uk
It seems there are countless cases of people getting far worse seats than they paid for or worse completely denied entry at all.

I could accept my mistake in buying overpriced tickets, but now it seems entirely likely I'm to either be put in the worst seat in the house, having paid double what those around me had, or flat out denied entry to a show I'd been waiting 8 years for.

This concerned me greatly, so I found with much difficulty the contact details of viagogo to pursue a refund, though their faq assured it was impossible. I received again and again copy and paste generic responses assuring refund was impossible, and it was unlikely I would not receive the tickets or I could try sell them myself, losing $160 in booking fees, with a chance they wouldn't sell at all.

I also contacted my bank only 20 minutes after the purchase once I realised my mistake and they said there was nothing they could do.

I've never felt so conned and mistreated with an online dealing and that this company is still afloat baffles me entirely. It's perfectly apparent their website is designed to mislead customers into thinking they are buying legitimate tickets and rushes them through the process. The exorbitant $80 booking and processing fees are clearly a part of this scheme, designed to make easy money when people realise their mistake and try to resell the tickets (an option and link they provide all too easily) and then again make the booking fees off of the next unfortunate soul to stumble into their hell-spawned website. For the record, these "booking fees" were nowhere to be found on the invoice emailed to me, showing only $319 for the tickets, with $480 gone from my account.

This company mistreats it's customers at every turn and it's infuriating it's survived at all. I wouldnt have believed a company could get away with so much bull$#*! for so long although it looks like the law is not far from cracking down on them. Back to the shadows whence you came viagogo.

In short, tickets at twice the normal price with a high chance of getting worse tickets than paid for or flat out no entry all, and I've read even then a refund is difficult.

What a joke, never again, everyone please boycott this mess. If only the billionaire behind it had to give it all back... hope he likes his island and jet haha.

Viagogo Basketball match ticket/Refusing to refund me

I bought myself a ticket for Fenerbahce - Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball match which was to take place in Istanbul at 16.11.2023.

Because of the Israeli-Palestinian war, the match was moved to Belgrade and took place there.

Now Viagogo refuse to refund me because they say its postponed.

It is not postponed. It was played, but in another city.

I talked with the customer service 20 times providing them info about it and they keep replying "we are unable to refund we have no information from the organiser"

The info about the order is in the photo I will upload.

Viagogo Viagogo tickets

I wanted to buy a surprise birthday gift for my husband’s 59th birthday and saw advertised tickets for £135 on the website Viagogo. This was on 19th May 2023 the event date advertised was the 11 June 23. I clicked to buy two tickets totalling £270. The ticket seating row numbers or details were not specified at the Cambridge festival. but when I put my Face ID and the approved but the amount approved amount has turned out to be £841. To pay £841 to watch Kool and the gang (my husband’s favourite band) is day light robbery. All my savings went on these tickets, I frantically tried to cancel the transaction without success.

Viagogo claimed that no cancellation can be done on their part that I need to contact the card provider. I called back and forth several times without a solution.

The payment went through. It was an online transaction so unless I film myself making the purchase, I don’t have anything to provide as evidence that the advertised amount was not what was reflected on the final payment. Amex raised a dispute, cancelled, and reinstated again but I did not get my money back. Viagogo has sent evidence to AmEx which just shows how much I paid for it not what it was advertised at.

2 days before event – To accept Viagogo tickets I would need to go through a process of clicking to accept tickets it usually appears around 2 days before the event and there is a risk of tickets not being available at all. However, when I logged on to Viagogo it said that as I have a dispute with the card issuer and that nothing can be done until the dispute is resolved. The only way I can check ticket numbers, seating plans etc is by cancelling the dispute with you. I have read many Viagogo reviews, High court legal action and disputes where tickets were not even available by clicking and on many occasions not allowed entry to events. I did not want to take this risk.

Unfortunately, the event was on 11th June 23. I didn’t get a refund from AMEX and Viagogo. the event was not attended by me or husband.

The merchant (Viagogo) has terrible reviews and has been taken to high court for this sort of action. They are glorified ticket touts. The person (ticket seller) who they are acting as an agent for is just a PO Box number and not even registered. I suspect that they may be connected to Viagogo, and they buy tickets immediately when released and tout them.’

In view of this I requested that American Express to refund you £841.00 by way of Section 75. Amex refused to refund.

based on the fact that American Express can only be held liable under Section 75 for breaches of contract or misrepresentation on behalf of ‘tix gts, In demand services’. They considered that the terms and conditions, which I accepted at the time I completed your purchase, made me aware of this relationship. refering to the ‘Ticketing Exchange’ clause which states ‘Viagogo provides a service that allows members who want to buy tickets (“Buyers”) to find members who to sell tickets (“Sellers”). Viagogo does not take title to the underlying ticket…and the actual transactions are between the Buyers and Sellers.’

I require a refund of £841 and strike off Viagogo as a reputable merchant. I would like to do this on behalf of all consumers. I have spoken to a lawyer who stated that Viagogo has been taken to High Court but as they are based in Geneva, they are not covered by all UK laws. The ticket tout Viagogo was acting as an agent and is only registered to a PO box. There are no details provided and they cant be taken to court.

Claimed loss: £2000

Desired outcome: I would ideally like to receive £841 paid to Viagogo

Viagogo Incorrect order

Went on to Viagogo website and saw that Romesh Ranganathan was appearing at The Engine Shed in Wetherby, Yorkshire on 21st January 2024. I was sent to their website and bought two tickets. What I hadn’t known is that there is another Engine Shed in Lincoln, and nowhere was the town of the venue mentioned, just The Engine Shed. Obviously, I wanted to go to a local venue, 3 miles away, and not a venue 75 miles away, so why would I have ordered tickets for Lincoln and not ones for a local venue. I wonder if the people who organise the tickets are aware that there are two Engine Sheds in the UK, and that could be why I was able to order tickets for what was the wrong location. I was told that I can sell my tickets which cost me £188.40, but of course the cost of re-selling would not include the extras, which will leave me out of pocket. I would point out the I am 76 and my husband is 82, and what should have been a fun night out has turned into a horrible experience which was not the plan

Desired outcome: Refund of ticket

Viagogo Luc Combs Concert tickets

We purchased two tickets from Viagogo for a Luc Combs concert to take place in October 2023.

Tickets were purchased and paid for 17/9/2022 365 GBP paid for the two

Received notification from Viagogo 18/8/223 that the ticket organiser has cancelled the tickets and that we will be refunded. I doubt we will be refunded and frankly the notion that the events organiser has actually cancelled the tickets at all and with less than two months notice ahead of the event is pure and unadulterated BS.

They do not confirm who the concert organiser is or any other details and so they make it very difficult to follow-up on this.

Since receiving this notification I have done a little digging and it is patently obvious that Viagogo is an unscrupulous organisation, exploiting the public causing and inflicting anguish and upset on genuine concert goers and music fans.

It seems that they have previously been investigated for poor practices but without the required outcome which would be to prevent this company from future trading.

Desired outcome: Refund and for Viagogo to be finally brought to account

Viagogo Sold tickets for a gig that was rescheduled months ago

I bought 2 tickets through Viagogo to see The Dualers at O2 Oxford, UK.

It stated that my tickets were confirmed but I would not receive tickets until 16th September (which is the date I had booked the tickets for). I then went on to the venues website to check details and this gig was not even listed for 16th September. It has been rescheduled to the 4th November (which is a date that I am unable to make).

Viagogo are still advertising and SELLING tickets for this gig that no longer exists.

I have contacted Viagogo through my account to request a refund but have had no response.

I contacted The Dualers, who said that the show has been on the November date for many months now, so why are Viagogo still able to sell tickets?

I was not aware of their reputation but looking at previous complaints, they should be shut down. I will be taking this to Trading Standards as it is falsley selling and illegal.

Desired outcome: I would like to receive a full refund for these tickets that i purchase for a gig that doesn't even exist

Viagogo The weekend concert ticket

The problems I encountered were:

1. Resale process

I purchased The Weekend tickets on 9 March and due to personal reasons I was unable to attend the concert. Due to personal reasons, I was unable to attend the concert and on 16 June, I selected automatic resale using the resale system on the viagogo platform. I successfully sold all the tickets and sent them to the buyer. I did not receive the exact tickets until a few days before the concert on 8 July. I purchased standing tickets and ended up receiving information that the actual tickets were seated tickets, which in turn were standing tickets in the PDF, which seriously misled my understanding of how to process the ticket information. As I was very busy during that time and trusting the platform, I didn't check it carefully. In fact, it was the original seller who provided the wrong tickets.

After the concert, the platform charged me £300.46 for an "incomplete order" and assumed that I had provided the wrong ticket information.

Firstly, I didn't change any of the information on the ticket and secondly, I was wrongly fined because the ticket seller who sold it to me sold me the wrong ticket and I was one of the victims. All the processes were handled automatically by the platform for me, simply because I was the only one tied to a bank card that was automatically debited. It is extremely unfair to ask me, the consumer, to pay for errors that occur in the system and mistakes made by the original ticket seller.

2. Premium and unfair ticket prices

I purchased The Weekend tickets for £204.44. I did not receive the exact tickets until a few days before the concert on 8 July, when the price was shown as £113.80. This is more than double the actual price and seriously undermines the fairness of the sale and the rights of the consumer.

3. Customer Service Inaction

The customer service experience I had when trying to resolve these issues was not satisfactory. They promised on the phone and sent an email confirming that they would cancel the fine for me. But a week has passed and no refund has been received for the cancellation. I have since contacted other customer service on the platform and the representative I spoke with was unhelpful and dismissive and did not offer any viable solutions or alternatives to rectify the situation.

Desired outcome: 1. Financial loss2. Mental and Time Loss

Viagogo Invalid tickets - seats numbers do not exist

Hi - I purchased two tickets for Taylor Swift at Anfield next June via Viagogo. On checking the seats purchased (Row 88, Section U4 - seat 68 and 69) it appears these seats do not exist. I found this out by checking directly with Anfield and them supplying their 3D seating plan - seats 68 and 69 do not show on their plan. I have raised with Viagogo and they have said there is nothing they can do. Clearly they have been the middle man in selling on invalid tickets but are not prepared to give me a refund or investigate the fact the tickets are not real. They are suggesting I can resell (why would I resell invalid tickets) or wait until a week before the actual concert when they will either refund or give me alternative tickets. Why would I wait until a week before the concert when I have to organise travel and accommodation for the concert (we live down South) and I am pretty sure (due to the high demand for the tickets) they will not be able to offer me alternative tickets). All I want is my money refunded and someone to take responsibility they they have not carried out due diligence in selling on the tickets to a third party.

Desired outcome: Please refund

Viagogo Fraudulent sell to sebastian yatra tickets to a concert in Barcelona

Hello, my name is Ana Diaz. I bought a concert ticket to go see Sebastian Yatra in Barcelona on July 11 through StubHub in CANADA (see confirmation email screenshot from StubHub below). I flew to Barcelona and when I got to the concert with my ticket, the organizers scanned it and said that there was an error when scanning the barcode of the ticket given to me by StubHub (see ticket confirmation screenshot below). CLIPPERS had no record of the ticket and they could not find it in their system. They let me know that I had been scammed, that the ticket was fake and that I needed to write CLIPPERS and email so they could provide me with a letter stating that I had been scammed and needed to get my money back (see screenshot of letter by CLIPPERS the official concert promoter in Barcelona). Not only did this cause me a financial lost, but it also cause me great stress at the time. I would like to receive the full payment back for the ticket that I bought as I was denied access to the concert and I had to pend an extra 60 EUROS traveling back and forth fro my Hotel to the venue. my email address is anita. [protected]@gmail.com. Feel free to reach out to me. I have proof of the purchase of the ticket and an official letter from CLIPPERS stating that they denied me access due to having a fraudulent ticket.

Desired outcome: I would like to received a full refund for my ticket OF 169 EUROS (attached is a picture with my payment information) which is about $250 CAN dollars

Viagogo Viagogo Review: Overpriced Paul McCartney Tickets in Sydney

I just bought tickets to see Paul McCartney in Sydney, mate! We couldn't get tickets for the NZ concert, so we had to go across the ditch. I knew it would cost more, but I didn't expect to get ripped off like this. I paid over a grand for two tickets, and when I got the email with the tickets, I saw that each ticket was only $172.15. I asked Viagogo about it three times, but they just told me that the seller sets the price, and it could be higher or lower than the face value. They also said that the name on the tickets would be the seller's name, not mine. I don't care whose name is on the tickets, as long as they're valid, but I don't like being ripped off.

Viagogo says that they require sellers to input the face value of the tickets, so buyers can decide if they want to pay the price the seller is asking. They also show the face value and any other important info on the event page, so you can see it before you buy. But I didn't see any of that when I bought my tickets. Maybe it was there, but I didn't notice it. I was too excited about seeing Paul McCartney, you know?

Anyway, I feel like I got ripped off, and I told Viagogo that I won't be using them again. I don't like feeling like I'm being taken advantage of, you know? I just want to enjoy the concert without worrying about how much I paid for the tickets.

Viagogo Viagogo Review: Shady Business Practices and Negative Reputation - Beware Before You Buy

Viagogo is a company that operates in a very shady and unethical way. This is something that you should be aware of before you decide to do business with them. As of October 2020, the company had 26 legal and government actions filed against them by multiple countries. They also have class actions suits filed against them by countries (not just individuals).

The CEO of Viagogo was let go from StubHub in 2004, after which he started Viagogo, and has since encompassed quite the negative reputation. In May 2018, BBC News reported that the UK Government's digital minister advised that consumers should not use Viagogo, one of the big four secondary ticket sites. Margot James said: "Don't choose Viagogo - they are the worst".

In August 2018, the UK's Competition and Markets Authority took Viagogo to the High Court for breaking the law; Baker did not issue any comment or statement. The company reached a resolution with the CMA in November 2018. In January 2019, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) said Eric Baker risked jail over failure to properly protect customers.

My personal experience with Viagogo was not a good one. As you can see from the first picture, below, they do not show you the actual seat numbers they are selling you. It wasn't until I accepted the tickets and they were transferred to Ticketmaster that I found out they had sold me tickets quite a distance from the exact section that I had clicked on during the purchase.

I've tried resolving it and received multiple robotic emails, one of which makes absolutely no sense referring to my UK Ticketmaster account. I live in the US... don't have a UK account. I spoke with customer service to request an exchange of these bogus tickets (offering to pay more if I had to) for ones that I had originally tried to purchase. The woman kept insisting that they have a strict policy of no refunds because the third-party seller needs to be paid. That would make sense if it weren't for the fact that the last email I received, after being forced to resell my tickets (my only way out of this) states that I will not receive my money until 8 days after the event.

In my defense, I am very fuzzy right now with COVID and a little off my game, but I am not dumb enough to just take them at their word. Please be wary of this company. Their practices are helping them remain extremely profitable!

Viagogo Viagogo Review: False Information, Chaotic Event, and Unfair Treatment

I had a terrible experience with Viagogo. I was so excited to attend the event I had purchased VIP tickets for, but when I arrived, it was complete chaos. I was trying to find out where to go for the meet and greet, but no one who worked there could help me. I walked back and forth in the heat, sweating profusely, just trying to find the right place. Finally, I found where I needed to go, but I was told that my VIP tickets didn't include the meet and greet. I was so upset and frustrated that I started crying.

When I purchased my tickets through Viagogo, it specifically listed what was included in the VIP package, and the meet and greet was on that list. I missed a lot of the concert just trying to find out where to go and what to do for the meet and greet. I feel like I was scammed and ripped off because the information listed for my tickets was false. I would never have purchased VIP tickets if I had known I wouldn't get to do the meet and greet.

To make matters worse, our seat placement was not where it was supposed to be. We were further back from the stage than we were supposed to be. I don't know if this is Viagogo's fault or Live Nation's fault, but it needs to be fixed. I feel like I was treated very unfairly, and Viagogo wouldn't even give me a refund.

I am highly upset and disappointed with Viagogo. I will never purchase tickets from them again, and I urge others to be cautious when buying tickets from them. There is even a Facebook group for people who have been scammed by Viagogo. I just joined it. Viagogo sucks!

Viagogo Viagogo Euro 2016 Semi-Final Ticket Nightmare: No Tickets, No Last Minute Sales Team, No Refund for Exchange Rate Losses

Me and my mates bought some tickets for the Euro 2016 semi-final (Wales v Portugal) from viagogo. We were buzzing after Wales beat Belgium on the Friday evening, with the semi-final on the following Wednesday. Viagogo asked for a French address for the tickets to be delivered to so we sorted it out with a relative of one of our party in Bordeaux. We got to Bordeaux on Monday evening but the tickets hadn't arrived. By lunchtime on Tuesday there was still no sign of them and we needed to travel on to Lyon to the game the following day. We tried to get in touch with viagogo but it took us ages to get through to someone. Finally, we spoke to a lady called Laura who said she would find out what was happening and give us a call back. But we didn't hear anything for ages. My brother went to the local Chronopost depot to try and find out if they knew where the tickets were. Chronopost told us that all post that goes through their system has a tracking number so our tickets were either lost or hadn't even entered the postal system yet. We called viagogo back with this information and spoke to a different lady who said they were on the case and that they had alerted their internal last minute sales team who would be able to get tickets to us if these hadn't materialised. We asked to be kept updated and gave them the address of our campsite in Lyon and began travelling across. We still hadn't had a call back by 8pm so rang again and spoke to another lady called Eva (or Eve?) who assured us again that they would have tickets for us in Lyon.

But when we got to Lyon on Wednesday morning, there were no tickets. We got a phonecall from Laura at around half 10, and she told us that there were no tickets and that they would give us a refund. We were gutted. She told us that the last minute ticket team they told us about didn't actually exist and so there was no way that they could get tickets to us. All they could offer was an apology.

When we got back to the UK, I checked my online banking and realised that because the exchange rate changed between us paying for the tickets in euros and receiving the refund we are actually out of pocket too. I spoke to Aaron in viagogo about this discrepancy this afternoon but as far as he's concerned they've refunded the euros and that's it. I'm out of pocket even before considering my phonebill and travel costs.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using this company. It's been a nightmare trying to get hold of them and they didn't even deliver the tickets we paid for. Plus, we're out of pocket because of their mistake.
