In 2017 after my wife passed I fell into a bad state and filed for bankruptcy. The home was in the bankruptcy so I just packed up and returned to where my family lived. Several months after the bankruptcy I got a credit report stating Vanderbilt had repoed the house and land. I talked to my lawyer and he said to ignore it. For five years now it has been on my credit report as a repossession by Vanderbilt. And for four years they have sent letters stating they were taking my wife (deceased wife!) To court for money still owed as a repo. I saw in a real estate site the house was sold for almost double what I filed bankruptcy for. It's is a sad bunch of people who made money on you, is still ruining my credit rating and send out threatening letters to a dead person. Avoid these cretins like the black plague.
Desired outcome: Fix the credit reports, stop the threats.
