I signed up with vacasa in may of 2022. They took over a month just to get my property listed and everything has been a disaster since then. It would be a very long rambling list if I were to explain all the ways they messed up but it should suffice to say they have been nothing but headaches. They repeatedly billed me for erroneous charges and were so inept at handling even the most basic problems that I had to make a trip to my rental (from several states away) to do their jobs for them.

It was apparent pretty early on that they were gonna be a headache to deal with and were going to syphon as much money out of my profits as possible. So, I contacted them and told them that I wanted to cancel their services. They told me they would get the cancellation process started. However, they didn't. I have been contacting them regularly for over four months telling them that I want the contract cancelled and they continue to say they will start the process but then never do.

A month ago I finally got acknowledgement that the cancellation process had been initiated and that the rest of the calendar dates leading up to that cancellation had been blocked out. However, the only thing they did was block out the dates. They did nothing to start the cancellation process so I just missed a bunch of potential bookings. I only found out about this because they booked another guest on the other side of the blocked dates that were supposed to be leading up to the end of our contract.

When I called to remind them that I had cancelled the service and that they should not have made the booking they then said I would have to pay for rehousing the guest. They also revealed that, once again, the cancellation process had not been initiated.

They are just not letting me out of their contract. They ignore my requests and lie when they say they will handle things. Now they are saying they need another 35 days to release me from the contract. During that time they will not be advertising, renting out or caring for my condo in any way at all. It will make me miss out on lots of rental income because its a ski town and they are forcing my condo to be vacant during the peak of the season.

Vacasa is a nightmare. They are just a source of hassles and they eat up all your profits with bs fees and ineptitude.

Desired outcome: To be released from Vacasa's management contract. Immediately! And without them making up a bunch of bs/erroneous charges.
