I recently opened a bank account with td bank. While trying to do some online banking, I found out the bank account has been closed. No calls, no emails, no mail was sent to tell me about the situation. Extremely inconsiderate on td bank's part.
Went to the branch and no one can provide me with any informations other than "we will mail you a check of the balance that was in the account." which I couldn't care less about, I just need answers. Even the bank manager wasn't any help. They suposedly emailed the department that conducts background checks on new clients and couldn't provide answers. I have a very hard time understanding that the person who decided to close the account can't tell you why they closed the account.
I contacted the customer service number and I was told that the account was closed because of suspicion of fraud. So td bank will just drop the word fraud next to someone's name and don't provide any explanation.in this day and age having the word fraud associated to someone's name can ruin your financial reputation, credit, your whole life. I need answers from td bank.
