I pulled up the statement below from the Military Wallet site that listed deals for veterans which shows that it was CONFIRMED:

Outback Steakhouse, a popular Australian-inspired restaurant chain, offers veterans and active service members a free bloomin' onion and Coca-Cola drink on Veterans Day. Dine-in or call-in to-go orders are both valid options. They also offer a year-round 10% Heroes Discount to service members, police officers, firefighters, and first responders with appropriate identification.
It had been our original plan to dine in. We live approximately 50+ miles from the Roanoke Outback that we went to. Before we got there my husband was having stomach issues so we decided to go by and get the bloomin onion to bring home for when he felt better since the add stated that we could do that. I can't tell you how disappointed we were after traveling that far to get there and be told that there was an error in the add and that it was dine in only, that she had spoken to her manager earlier and he had told her they would only honor dine in. I feel that this was totally unfair to treat a veteran this way, that they should have honored the add.
