I am sick, I had a prescription of antibiotics called into Giant Eagle on 2/21 in the late afternoon. I went to pick it up at 6:45pm and the pharmacists Nate said that there was a nationwide issue with electronic RX transfers. He asked where my doc was and called them to get the RX. The doctor's office didn't answer, so he told me to call GE in the morning. I called GE the morning of 2/22 and GE still didn't have it and told me to call my doctor. I called my doctor but she was out of the office. Another day lost while I have two infections going on. Today, 2/23, my doctor called my RX in to GE again but it didn't show up in the GE app. So, I called GE again at 10:01am and I got a female tech and I didn't catch her name. She told me GE still doesn't have my RX and I need to call my doctor again. I told her that this is a customer service issue and that it seems to me that because she keeps saying "this is a nationwide GE issue" that GE pharmacy should be the ones calling to get my RX. She got smart with me and said "it's your prescription, not ours." No kidding! But it is YOUR technology problem, not mine. I would like for someone to look into who talked to me at 10:01am on 2/23/2024, they were rude and I will no longer use GE. I asked my doctor to send my RX to CVS. This location is often full of rude staff and the app rarely works, but it is convenient so I have dealt with it. Well, no more, I will take my business elsewhere.
Desired outcome: I would like an apology from the tech and the pharmacy. And the tech should probably not work in customer service.
