I ordered a sofa from West Elm in October of 2020. I was told by the salesperson it would be delivered between December 2020 and January 2021. I asked her several times, as it was imperative that my family member have a comfortable place to relax due to her being disabled. I received an email in January that it was delayed and would be delivered in February. Come the end of February I received another email that it wouldn't be delivered until March or April. That's 5 months - totally unacceptable. I spoke with customer service and she was very rude and was unable to give me any information as to when it would be delivered. I asked if there was something I could order that would be delivered soon, as It's been months and my disabled family member is living without a couch. She said I could attempt to cancel the order, but it wasn't guaranteed and I wouldn't know for a few days. She refused to give me her name, employee ID or direct number. She also refused to let me speak with a manager. In October I ordered furniture from Article and Wayfair - both delivered all but one of their items on time. Article was late by a few weeks on one item, but they gave me 50% off the price on a store credit, provided free shipping and apologized. I can't believe I spent almost 3 grand on furniture from a company that has no regard for the client. Please help me - this is unacceptable and I'm stuck because they won't cancel my order without waiting for a "few" days Thanks.
