So I don't like complaining, but I expect a certain level of common sense when I go into a store to receive services. I decided to get my hair cut today which was way overdue, I was hoping that I would get lucky and there was not much of a wait. I pulled up and noticed that the lobby or waiting area was empty and most of the staff was just standing around. I was thinking great, so I walked in and there was only two people sitting in chairs getting their hair cut. I thought this is great, no wait. I also saw the computer screen and it had several names and it had a 40 min on it. OK, I thought. I told the lady I needed a hair cut, "jokingly I asked? How long is the wait, she said, about 40 minutes, do you want to get on the list?" I said are you kidding me, the lobby is empty, you have 4 plus chairs open, you have stylists standing around and you are waiting for these listed people to show up but I am here ready to pay and get a cut. Sorry, sir; you need to get on the list. Ma'am, you just lost a customer for life.
Desired outcome: I agree that allowing customers to use a list to join so they don't have to wait is a good idea, but to refuse a paying customer while they are standing in front of you with an empty waiting room is horrible business.
