On the evening of 6/24/2023, a train stopped at the crossing at the intersection of US Highway 1 S and Front St in Forrest City, AR. As of this writing at 19:36 on 6/24, the train is still blocking the roadway. This is a critical intersection, as it cuts our town in half and causes needless and dangerous delays for emergency response units. After multiple calls to the Union Pacific Emergency Response line, speaking with someone named "Lakeshia," no information was given aside from "there is a brake issue" and that the train would not be moved. As of this writing, it has been blocking this critical access point for approximately 3 hours with no resolution. We are receiving multiple calls to our Sheriff Dept dispatch center, and multiple emergency response units are experiencing life-threatening delays while attempting to respond to many critical calls. When a request for an update was made, "Lakeshia" at Union Pacific Emergency Response at the Critical Call Center, she stated that "they're busy" and would likely be unable to provide any updates.
Desired outcome: Move your train.
