I shop in the Santa Maria and San Luis Obispo, sometimes Paso Robles stores to get the yarn that I need to crochet with. The supply is getting smaller and smaller. Today I drove to the Goleta store 90 miles away and found 6 balls of yarn for a baby afghan. The posted signs all over the yarn department said 40% off until Sunday 3/10/24. I bought 6 balls of yarn and tried to apply the 40% discount. No, you need your phone to scan the QR code. Ok, I bought the yarn and went to my car. Threw the yarn in the backseat and got my phone and took my receipt immediately back to the store. They wanted the items to scan... I left the store very pissed off. I am in your system [protected]) and in the past you have sent me $10 coupons that are impossible to use. Either they won't show up on my phone when I'm in the store or they have expired. This is not the way Michael's discounts have worked in the past. I'm not happy with the situation and will be looking to buy yarn online from other retailers.
