Hi i also received a Sm's to say my cell number has won R960.000 and to activate my ticket number i have to go buy
R275.00 vodacom airtime to activate my ticket.I was caught 3 times last year pls people do not fall for this, it is a very big scam
world wide. They are so organised with cell number and email addresses and different agents it is so sad to see them getting
away with this, and for how long now before some body put a stop to this scam. There are so many people caught already
so pls somebody catch these people. My name is Suzette
SCAM! I have just grilled the guy for ages with different questions and kept asking him where the link is between these winnings and Vodacom vouchers, with which he said they were only to activate the release of the money and that I was not to load them on my phone until contacted by someone in England. I also asked where the funds would originate from and he said that info would be given to me by the Head Office in London. He also told me that a cheque would be delivered in 48 hrs. PLEASE DO NOT give out any personal information, especially banking details. I have been sent 2 certificates, to supposedly authenticate my winnings. The grammar is horrific and the way in which they have been manipulated is clear. (I am a graphic designer 25 yrs). I am playing along with this and will keep posting the outcomes if possible, as i have requested the help of a certain individual with the means to track the emails and mobile numbers. IT IS A SCAM! I have attached the certificates sent to me along with the email message below.

Hi, this morning at 07:36am I received an sms saying {Congrats! your cell nr has won R960, 000.00 in UK premier league Award, TICKET (num.) For claims, Call local agent; Shawn Nelson [protected], email; snel@dvaar.com.} I thought that I would take a chance for once by phoning the number. I did and was told the details in which to claim the money. I knew that I had not entered any UK premier league competition, but decided to do it anyway. He said that my number out of ten thousand had won. I gave him my details: 87 Beaufort St, Grahamstown 6139. [protected]. eastern cape. ticket number. my full name Erin Landman. He said that I needed to go to a petrol station or spar to get four R50 .00 0r one R200.00 and to call him back with the voucher numbers. I told him that I couldn't get the vouchers because I was not in town and did not have any transport, but that I would ask someone to get the vouchers for me. I asked my sister to get them for and she told me that it was probably a scam to get the airtime. I was lucky that I was not in town or else I would have gone to get the airtime. I was also lucky in not giving him my account details. After my disappointment went away I realized that it probably was a scam and decided to see if the competition was real and found this site. I would really advise people who get that sms or have heard of someone getting it to check whether it is legit or not. I would also like to know if this was real or a scam.
The SMS number was from +[protected]. i am worried about what they will do with the information I gave them. I feel really stupid right now.
Last week, I have received the same message as the other guys have received. This was sent to me via my cellphone and i was also given the following numbers [protected] and [protected] to call once I have bought aitime of R360.00 but it must be devided into R180.00 per airtime slip.So.i decided to Google these guys and luckily I got this info which made me very spectical about the whole thing. Can you check and investigate for me further and give me feed back as to whether the whole thing is legit or not.I need to know if I have really won or not before I can lose by falling for a scam.My details are as follows;Evans Sunnyboy Mbuli;Cnr of O R Tambo and Voortrekker Street, Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa.Cellphone no.[protected]

i got the same sms too...and i thought it was real.. an claim that i won R960000 rand... i was happy..practically believed them...i paid R160 airtime...and they sent the same thing to my dad...but now since i here this...I'm beginning to think twice...HOW COULD THEY! in going to get them for this...I'm handing them to the cops...FINISH AND KLAAR!
My Mother received a sms from UK Premier League that she won R96000-00. I forwarded an e-mail to the head office in the UK to confirm if they have a lottery or competition going, which they ignored. My mother wanted to take the chance so we phoned the number. Firstly we had to buy Vodacom Airtime of R500-00 and sms the voucher numbers to them. Secondly my mother was requested to transfer R5000-00 into their account for the admin fees and to convert the money from Pound to Rand before it is paid into her account. It was then that we realized that this is definitely a scam. DO NOT TRUST THEM PLEASE!
