Consumer Alert. Avoid Tommy Eure and his Good Ol Days Customs and Bike Shop, Kerrville, Texas. Recently, Tommy Eure (Tommy) moved his Good Ol Days Garage from Ingram, Texas down the street to Kerrville, Texas. He has also changed his business name and website. It appears Tommy has had a series of bad press and reviews that are on the internet. So maybe and allegedly changing a few things around would result in a potential customer not finding reviews about him on the internet?

This author dealt with Tommy for a period of several years when he had his other shop in San Antonio, Texas. Even back then he had problems with customers. In fact, he advised me he pulled a shotgun on one of his customers. I can't make up that true story. Then he moved to Ingram, Texas and then (and now) to Kerrville, Texas. This writer advises customers the following for reasons to distance yourself from Tommy and his shop:

- Lousy customer service. He badmouths customers behind their backs. He is an anger driven man--in my opinion.
- Padding your bill. He alleges he made a $700 mistake when he provided me with an original quote on a repair on my classic car. So he wanted to jack up the price by more than $700.00. He went into shell shock when I told him I already had the form for the Kerrville, Texas small claims court forms. This was stated in the presence of two Ingram City Law Enforcement officials.
- Watch your auto parts. Tommy was caught, In the presence of two Ingram City law enforcement officials, either lying or being mistaken about an auto part he said he returned to an auto parts supply house. When I told Tommy I called the supply shop previously and they did not have a core charge exchange program, Tommy suddenly and quickly remembered he had the car part in his shop. How many times has he pulled this alleged scam on customers? Then again, he has periodic car parts sales at his shop. Do you think he has obtained the car parts in an above the board manner? Just call the Ingram City Marshall's Office. This a'int Gunsmoke and Marshall Dillon may not work there, but Marshall Alexander may be asked about Tommy Eure's car part mishap.
- If Tommy has higher paying customers or if a customer is spending lots of cash on their auto restoration, your car will sit neglected for months. Then Tommy will tell you when you become concerned "Well you told me to take my time." He alleges he is also a part time comedian.
- If you bring your classic car over to Tommy's shop in pristine condition, he may return it to you unclean and in disarray. Then he will tell you to use soap and water to clean it. He is a real joker and stand-up guy.
- Tommy ran for Alderman for the small town of Ingram, Texas. He got like twenty something votes. So now he may believe he is a big wig in a small town. Being an Alderman or volunteer fireman is not necessarily related to being a good auto mechanic. Moreover, when he should be working on your classic car he may be putting out fires around Ingram City, including the alleged verbal fires he starts with your classic car and his lack of attention to detail.
- Tommy allegedly has no certified auto mechanic credentials, e.g., ASE certifications. Instead, Tommy will tell you he learned about auto mechanics and auto restorations from his great grand-daddy. He allegedly attended his last auto seminar a decade or more ago. But at the same time, he has a "know it all" attitude, he is glib in his answers to your concerns, and is a hot head! In short, Tommy Eure needs to consider taking a customer service course. See more customer service comment in the next paragraph.
- More customer service is needed. Tommy employs his son who apparently has a learning disability. That is not something to ridicule. But he places his son in a customer service position. His son is quick to yell and scream at customers. Just ask the Ingram City Law Enforcement officials. They had to tell his son to leave the room when I asked that they put the kid on a leash. He was yelling negative comments. I forgot to mention that his son allegedly dropped out of St. Philips Automotive School in San Antonio, Texas. Yet, this son will or may be working on your classic car?
- Beware of Tommy Eure's family gatherings at his shop. You will run into Tommy's elderly family members and dog's running around the shop. Watch for dog fecal matter droppings that may be all around the shop. Please check your shoes when walking around a disorganized shop at Good Ol Days Garage or customs, or bike shop, or muffler shop= very confusing.
- Tommy has changed his business name and location several times. He is either confused on his shop goal's, or he may have had other negative reviews on other websites and as reflected in the world wide web. Check the internet for Tommy Eure and Good Ol Days Garage, Ingram, Texas. Check for Tommy Eure and Good Ol Days Garage and Bike Shop in Kerrville, Texas. Oh I forgot, he also claimed he was a muffler shop at one time. Will we see part time electrician and plumber on this guy's website?
- Tommy tried to discourage bad reviews about him by having two attorneys contact me. I told them I would see them in court and explained the facts. Never heard back.

In short, the above information is my opinion about my interaction with Tommy Eure and his shop. Tommy Eure has complaints filed with the Texas Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau (BBB). The BBB is a joke and gave Tommy an A plus rating after he joined and payed his yearly large fee. Just Goggle Connecticut Attorney General and the Better Business Bureau to learn about the BBB's business rating procedures. That's another joke.

In short, It is your choice and your money. Feel free to use Tommy Eure after you read this review or other reviews on the internet. But when visiting Tommy's shop, you may consider obtaining a signed written contract (as another reviewer recommended) and bring water proof boots. Buyer Beware repeated. You have been warned.
